This is actually one of the best interviews with Hozier I’ve ever seen, Brittany you did so well balancing more humorous commentary and very serious professional questions that highlight the depth of his music and it’s clear how much recognition of and respect for his intelligence and his craft that you have. Very very well done, you were definitely made to interview people like this, I hope you get to do it more!
Edit: also, I’ve never felt so much joy for someone getting to speak with someone else. I’m so happy for you getting to live out these dreams!

This was SO WELL DONE! Brittany coming into the interview immediately with a sense of humor with poking fun at herself and then poking a little fun at the “handsome squidward incident” relieved the tension early on and set the rest of the interview up for success for the rest of the video by allowing both of them to feel more comfortable opening up. And the way brittany could connect with hozier on more niche topics opens up opportunities for more intellectual conversations at some points. Seriously so so so well done!

I keep rewatching this interview bc it’s SO GOOD. Brittany is a master of knocking people’s guard down and building instant rapport - and it’s bc she’s so funny and not afraid to make the jokes most interviewers would shy away from. You can tell Hozier sinks into this convo with the ease of a friend bc the stuffiness and pretense of most interviews is just not there at all. A masterpiece.
