I live in the Bay Area, too, and am constantly looking for rides to change up my routine. Thanks for pointing this one out, I'll have to ride it when the weather wants to cooperate. Love the videos!
I live in Benicia and found your channel recently and was inspired to take my bike out on a few local trails. It wasn't till I searched TH-cam for local videos did I find that you had made one. Very cool to see a quality TH-camr riding on trails I recognize. Good luck on your tour around the U.S.! I've always planned on doing the same after college.
Great video - way to scout and share! You're freaking me out with that above the bar thumb hold. You must have rock-climber finger strength. Keep it up and the rubber side down!!
Just found your channel and had to subscribe, so trying to catch up. Thanks for videos. I'm a "younger" old timer so I've seen mountain biking change in so many ways and many times for the better. I got much to say but not all in one shot. thanks again.
Love seeing local riders! Awesome channel man, I usually ride Briones in Martinez and Lafayette but I think I need to cross the bridge! Keep up the great Bay Area content
Great video, thanks for sharing. I just moved to Vallejo and this is very helpful for my next MTB ride. Thanks again ! It’ll be cool to ride along with other MTB peeps
Recently found your channel and I love your content. I have watched quite a bit of your newer stuff and I am going back and binge watching your older videos now. I have been on a journey for the last 3 months to lose weight and get healthy again and you have inspired me to get on the bike and have some amazing fun while doing it. I will be picking up a new bike after black friday hoping to get a good deal. Looking at getting a Diamondback Sync'r as I don't have a ton of money to invest right now but I want to get riding ASAP and the Sync'r looks like it will be a fun bike. My goal is to take a trip up to Downieville and hit some of the amazing trails up there in 3 or 4 months after I get in the zone. Thank you for all the content you make and being such an inspiration.
I just moved to Fairfield and need a mentor in Mt Biking. Looking forward to going to Tahoe and I work in Benicia so I'll definitely check out this trail when it warms up.
Did this ride many times. Live close by so I start from my house. I figured out how to do a loop with a little roads so no back tracking. Good vid BTW! 😉
A nice little Bay Area gem. Are you planning on doing more Bay Area trails; Joaquin Miller Park, Hayward Plunge, Skeggs, Mt. Sutro, Tennessee Valley, Mission Peak, Mt. Montara, etc,.?? Also, I think it's safe to assume you'll have a video of Sea Otter Classic by the end of next month?? Maybe? Anyways, keep up the great work.
You dropping some knowledge on the bridges got me laughing, "This man really knows his bridges" and then the casual Al Zampa is my Great Grand Father drop made me rewind the clip.
Is there a bike rental shop here? Coz I've been in C&H Sugar Co. so many times through my job on a merchant ship and through your channel, i have just discovered this trail.
As far as I know there is not a shop within reach that demos legit bikes. I know Sports Basement in Walnut Creek and a few of the shops in Napa demo legit bikes.
You're lucky. The town I live in is not big so if one wants to get to a trail it doesn't take super long, I still have to ride in the urban chaos to get to them.
I actually just caught this one for the first time, this is a nice video, I cannot understand why you ever leave if you have trails like this in your local area.
I see those thumbs are coming down a bit, couple of times with full grip and some occasions where they are halfway. If only your grandfather negotiated royalties for each car that went over his bridge!
Definitely more ticks out there than most peeps think. I had so many ticks on me riding Crocket in the Spring. Are there any no bikes signs on those trails? Most East Bay Park trails are not marked well but the online maps do indicate the no bike trails.
These vids are gettin slick . Looks very similar to where I live just outside London !!! An area called Ivinnhoe beacon or the Ridgeway . But without the dogshit! it's the owners that do it over here!!!!
man coming back in 2023 to check out an early one of his vids :) natural swearing and no ads, so good
I live in the Bay Area, too, and am constantly looking for rides to change up my routine. Thanks for pointing this one out, I'll have to ride it when the weather wants to cooperate. Love the videos!
Yeah man, it's a nice little change of pace! Thanks for the love!
Hey Brian. Just working through the back catalog here. Man, you've come a long way in just over a year - Real good!
Thanks man!
Good video, fun trails, good narrative, and amazing aerial shots! Kudos to you, sir.
+RGCastro7 Thanks, man! Appreciate it.

Thanks! This is one of my older videos, I've got my grip all worked out now!
I catch my self doing this too... could it be handlebar positioning?

Awesome, man! Welcome to the channel, I'm glad you found me.
Thanks for the video!! I live near Columbus Pkwy and will try this soon
I live like 5 minutes from these trails - never knew they existed, other than the paved road at Benicia State Park. Great video!
Love seeing local riders! Awesome channel man, I usually ride Briones in Martinez and Lafayette but I think I need to cross the bridge! Keep up the great Bay Area content
Yeah man, once this all dries out it'll be fun again!
I’ve lived in Benicia for 30 years.
Nice video, nice job
Just moved away from the bay area. I wish I had seen your videos when I still lived there!
Great work. Come do some rides in Michigan!
Ah man! Yeah, Copper Harbor is high on the list!
BKXC can't wait to see it! I'd love to make it up to that one as well
Great video, thanks for sharing. I just moved to Vallejo and this is very helpful for my next MTB ride. Thanks again ! It’ll be cool to ride along with other MTB peeps
Rad! Sweet video! I'll definitely check these out. Great stuff for local quickie rides, cx bike and family rides!
Yep, this is a fun local one, that chunk along the shoreline is pretty legit!

Fuck yeah, brother! If you can get out twice a week you will get better and better. Keep at it.
I just moved to Fairfield and need a mentor in Mt Biking. Looking forward to going to Tahoe and I work in Benicia so I'll definitely check out this trail when it warms up.
Awesome, man! It's a great little place to play around that no one really knows about.
Didn't even know these trails existed, definitely gonna have to head down there and ride.
Our little secret!
Did this ride many times. Live close by so I start from my house. I figured out how to do a loop with a little roads so no back tracking. Good vid BTW! 😉
Nice!! Thanks
I like how you go from parking to the actual location.
Yeah, I always see videos that don't actually show you where to go, so I wanted to make sure I have it all.
BKXC but your videos are good, very good, we dont have such nice trails where I live so I have to do it with videos and your videos are just perfect.

Yeah man, I want to do more local stuff once it stops raining!
I think its a great idea Brian ! Go for it.
Awesome video like always, but I really like the drone footage it looks epic!!
Yeah those were good shots!
Great video and love the aerial shots!
+torito113 Thanks, man! Can't wait to do more.
Awesome vids. good wide shots! Tha trail looks pretty fast! Im sure I would have lost it at a couple of those hairpins. lmao
Haha, always something sneaking up to get ya

Awesome trail great video 👍😊🚵♀️
So beautiful out there!
I love having this so close to home!
You're lucky. The town I live in is not big so if one wants to get to a trail it doesn't take super long, I still have to ride in the urban chaos to get to them.
I like watching this video. It relaxes me. Soundtrack: The Orb - Little Fluffy Clouds
Nice!
Why am I watching this one B..? lol but I must say that, while incredibly time consuming, those drone shots are still sooooo sick.
They're really great!
9:00 "Ok, we're on this gravel road which has plenty of dog shit on it" lol'd
+Jon MacDonald Hahaha, gotta give the heads up!
Lol "same ol shiit" too funny.
Love your videos!
"so if your startin a new gang come up here and tag your name so people know who you are" lmao
+John Smalls Haha, WEST SIDE!
I actually just caught this one for the first time, this is a nice video, I cannot understand why you ever leave if you have trails like this in your local area.
Always more to see!
I see those thumbs are coming down a bit, couple of times with full grip and some occasions where they are halfway. If only your grandfather negotiated royalties for each car that went over his bridge!
Hahaha, yep!
You need to do an Annadale and Tamarancho Trail Guide.
Sure thing!
hyw079 agree with. Tamarancho.
Definitely more ticks out there than most peeps think. I had so many ticks on me riding Crocket in the Spring. Are there any no bikes signs on those trails? Most East Bay Park trails are not marked well but the online maps do indicate the no bike trails.
There are a couple maps in Crockett but very few signs! All trails in Crockett are open to bikes though, luckily.
All the f bombs cracking me up! So different from your more recent content
Have you ever done Chabot?? I would love to see a vid on that.
Not yet!
Mind if I ask what you do for a living? You got a killer bike, car, house in the Bay. You must do software?
I do youtube! Lots of videos about my journey on the channel
What kind of bike do you and it’s very nice for mountain bike
1 vote for cutting the tag off..
+JJstunes Haha, I ripped them out!
I must say you have weird style of holding your handlebar :P
+Fredrik HL Haha, yep. Thinking about breaking the bad habit, but then I wouldn't have something for you guys to tease me about.
+BK-XC Haha i'm sure someone could find something else ;)
+Fredrik HL Hahaha, yep.
+BK-XC Haha. What brakes are you using?
+Fredrik HL Shimano XT. I replaced the front brake pad and now I'm all good.
very good
+louju68 Merci!
Who was controlling the drone?
One of my friends!
These vids are gettin slick . Looks very similar to where I live just outside London !!! An area called Ivinnhoe beacon or the Ridgeway . But without the dogshit! it's the owners that do it over here!!!!
Hahahah thanks man.
WIM plug FTW 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
How's the temperature out there ?
Pretty nice year round.

Not that I know of!
Al zampa's her uncle so idk maybe he just had a big fam

Is there a map location you could post to show where to park?
Yup, check the link in the description!
+BK-XC excellent! May give this ride a go sometime next week. Thank you sir.
Sweet, man! It's a fun one!

Lol the oblivious hikers... jesus.
Haha that was a classic one
Towns made famous by The Zodiac 😬
I thought this was the dirty diaper video ;)
Haha, pretty sure that's the 1,000 subscriber update!
Drone video quality was terrible. Glad you aren't using that guy's video anymore
Did you not know how to use your opposable thumbs in these early videos ha ha ha ha
I was a cave man
you looked like one on your redirection 17 tour before you shaved lol
Narrow handlebars
