Hey Brian these neck gaiters are great because they're directional to ensure a better fit. I just ordered one of yours, but I wanna make a bulk order for my household, who manufactures them? Unfortunately some of my housemates are very picky on colors and won't wear red... *eye roll*
I said it a couple of videos ago, but I'll say it again. Having Sarah with you has made your videos twice as good. It's great watching you two interact.
You guys should do a walkthrough of Sarah's bike. I think there's a lot of opportunity here to have Sarah be a great ambassador for women in the sport, assuming she would want to do that. Great content as always, and stay healthy and safe!
I feel like watching Sarah ride ahead I see technique more clearly than most riders I watch. Instead of muscling through she takes good lines and pops at the right moment. Very instructive style to watch. Even riding blind she soaked up some major terrain so fast you might miss it if you blink. I feel like she nails position and mechanics, no cheating.
What's up from Alabama! I just started mountain biking about 1 year ago, and your videos have added tremendous fuel to my growing love of the sport! Thank you!
Love watching your rides! I'm a 58 year old empty nester mom and happened upon your page after searching for bike trails. I just ordered a cruiser bike to ride on our local rail trail here in Tallahassee for exercise. I will never mountain bike, but love that I can experience the beautiful trails around the country and world through you two! The love story between you and Sarah is a bonus! Hope this gives you a laugh! Happy trails to you!😉
Just wanted to jump in with a tiny bit of encouragement to try out MTB! I've recently helped both my parents get back into biking, and it's been amazing. My mom is riding all around her town now, and my dad has started mountain biking again. He's 70, and had a few minor strokes a couple years ago that left him out of shape and with some balance problems. The types of trails that he can ride are fire roads and the occasional smooth single track trail, but with the eMTB that we got him, he can get back out in the mountains to explore! I grew up riding with him, but thought those days had ended 15 years ago until very recently. An eMTB might be a cool option for you. I'm not claiming to know anything about your fitness; rather, eMTBs are inherently more stable because of the extra weight. And regardless of bike type, there are lots of amazingly fun places to ride double track and fire roads that aren't the ridiculous technical single track that Brian rides. One of my favorite ways to explore is bikepacking, and that's usually done on mellower roads. I'm pretty biased, and think bikes are the best thing ever. I want everyone to get out and ride! It's awesome that you've gotten into riding the local trails on your cruiser!
@@evanbarnes9984 I appreciate this encouragement so much! And great kudos to you for loving your parents and encouraging them to ride and stay active! What a great son you are! I have just gotten active again after raising two sons for the last 20 years. I did ride quite a bit in the past, my ex husband and I toured Holland twice by bike (which I highly recommend, it was wonderful). That was in 1989 and then we did it again in 1991. Then the kids came along. We rode some with the kids, locally and on vacations and then life happened and some additional weight got added ;-). My Son's have flown to the northeast. It was time to get off my duff. I currently walk two miles everyday, and decided to order a 3 speed Willow cruiser from Brooklyn Bicycle Co., which is on backorder until August. I live right off the St. Mark's Rail Trail, and can ride 6 miles to it's end point and back. I can't wait to get it! I will research the eMTB. I've heard about e-bikes, but didn't realize they had them in MTB style. Thank you so much again for your encouragement and recommendations, I really appreciate it!
Wow Sarah has got some power! She’s pushing some hard gears on the flats and pulling away! It looks like you’ve found a great partner there Brian! Happy for the both of you!
Looks like some nice local trails, I'm sure camera not doing those climbs justic. If you need some optimisum, here in NZ things basiclly normal now but with closed boarders.
Andrew Rex honestly it might be better if they just made the app like 1.99 or 2.99 I feel like people would be more likely to buy them instead of ANOTHER subscription which many people already have too many of
I have a suggestion for your van build. When u had to break the wood apart in your curtains you could now put magnets on the tips of the wood where u had broke them so they are together when u roll them up and can still come apart when u need to get by.
So funny you posted this today. I was going to ask if you rode there. I was at the Napa skate park yesterday and thought about this trail. i have not done it yet, but have done Moore creek.
Hey Brian, I biked to the top of Mt Diablo from Walnut Creek on Saturday. Lots of climbing for the payoff! I can't wait to hit some trails on the north side of the bay!
Hey Brian greetings from Napa. I just wanted to mention a local spot that I always stop at when I go to the oat hill mine trail just in case you make it up there. The place is called Buster's southern Barbeque. It's right on the corner of Hwy 29 and Lincoln Their tri-tip sandwich is real good.
I was waiting on ""hey u good?" Or "need help" when she fall... but its alright she knows how to work it😎😎. Big fan of ur Brian. And now I'm a big fan of Sarah!!
Definitely my favorite mtb to watch on youtube! Wish I was quick enough to get one of those limited edition masks though! Lol keep up the good vids man! 🤙
Heck yeah man! Love watching the videos, thanks for putting them out. for the poison ivy/oak I carry a spray bottle with dish soap and water in it. If you're on a longer trail and get in it you can carry a smaller one on your person for those emergency situations and rinse with water you have on you or carry a towel to wipe it off. Those other chemical products get expensive quick and the soap/water works just as good.
Manitoba is supposed to open its borders to travel on the 21st 🤞 and then I'm off, might not be downhill but I love biking up. Take care stay safe and have fun 😃
If your looking for place with some good trails, Boggs Mountain has opened up after devastating valley fire, have about 7 miles of trail opened since 2015. Got some good downhill tech, smooth tech, and BIG BURMS. I typically go one one and then turn around at go the other way.
Oh man! I'm waiting for a warranty replacement frame from Trek since I cracked the Remedy, haven't ridden MTB in over 4 weeks. Videos like this always hype me up, keep up the great work and hope you are all well and sound!
Well, the rockies have had their earliest melt out in a long time. current conditions in the mountains in Colorado and Wyoming feel more like early July than Early June. If you're looking to get the 50 state shred going again.
You are getting too accustomed to quarantine traffic buddy haha enjoy it while it lasts. I avoid 37 like the plague. That road needs a second lane Soo bad. Great videos, first time commenter long time viewer from sac.
My mom told me the other day, Strava rented out a building she owned when they were a start up company! Small world. I’d like to see your take on Russian Ridge up in Los Altos area.
Hey man how’s it going? Longtime no talk lol...you probably don’t remember me it’s been awhile now haha...anyways congrats on the new relationship...you guys seem very happy and well suited!!! 😁👍👍🤙
Nothing wrong with Strava... I use it for counting milage only. I have heard of leaderboards and how other hate it because of that so happy it going behind paywall... Nice views you had today sir 👍👌
You can still see the top 10 on Strava, but I'm nowhere near the top 10, hahaha! I may consider paying at some point, depending on what additional features they add. I'm more bummed that I don't get as many personal analytics as I used to.
Very good Brian its all about viral load . The more you get the worse you will be . Being outdoors or catching it from surfaces should be a smaller load . Even catching it from asymptomatic people may not be a big problem unless you are more vulnerable . I may continue to wear a mask in indoor locations after this is over depending on the situation . Its nice not being sick and I am sure a smaller viral load across all pathogens can lead to and easier time . Amazing nobody is sick around me. Even the grand kids which would have the perpetual runny nose . If we just do a few simple things that we learned from this we could be a much more productive nation not loosing precious time to being sick . . I guess babe and honey means we have a better half now . I think you got a winner
Hey Brian! I really love the "back to the routes" kinda vibe coming from this video :) I don't know if you ever disclosed that piece of information about yourself, but what job did you have before becoming a youtuber? Have a great day mate :)
Hey @BKXC , we need a sit down interview with Sarah to get to know her better. My girlfriend is so curious, and we just want to get to know who’s seeing our favorite TH-camr!
