That place eats pedals and derailleurs! I remember getting into that rut (on the section you get nervous on) and seeing my life flash before my eyes. Macky was right behind me and was equally scared watching. Sarah has got skills!
Nice of you giving Sarah cred Seth, she certainly deserves it after some awesome riding on that rough trail the first time like that! Remember that vid you're referring to pretty vividly. Kind of scared all of us I think! The GoPro effect must have been especially strong in this BKXC vid for some reason since it just didn't come across as the real deal it is..
Thanks for the shout-out! We'll see what we can do about making you guys characters in the game 😉 BTW - nice job on that climb. I thought you had it!!!!!!
This is my local trail also, which I just rode yesterday! I know these trails and now I know how great a rider Sara is! The GoPro effect doesn't do it justice, it's harder than it looks in video!
Hi Brian, I have been watching your videos for a few years ... thought it was time to make a quick comment. Your youtube channel is one of the best, for the sport of mountain biking ... it’s alive, in you. “Thank you for sharing” 👍🏻
Thanks for being so motivational Brian. I'm sure it's more than just me but I sometimes forget how much worse I feel mentally and physically if I spend to much time on the couch. I really need to muster up some motivation and get back out there. Stay safe and healthy.
Great video as always. I already knew ur a pro at riding, but man her skills on a bike r impressive. Shes a 10 at riding and im still at 2. So much to learn
Hey Brian! I was feeling stronger and stronger and then on Saturday I had a nasty crash that sliced my knee open really bad. And now I am off the bike for weeks😫. Looks like I’ll be on a BKXC marathon watch session now. Loved the video today! Thank you.
Looks like a fun ride. I am in CT and am still trying to get in my first ride this year due to La Corona lockdown and the recent rain here. This vid is motivational. Stay up dude.
rocky jank and rooty jank are the reasons we buy dual suspension bikes... Count your blessings, you have found a rainbow unicorn.. a nice woman that loves to go mountainbiking.
@@ExplosiveNotes What the F&%K !!!!! ''Finally, a comedy for animal lovers.'' I don't know what's the goal of that video but with this ''animal lovers'' thing, I'm a bit scared it is what I'm thinking about! :O
It’s weird seeing trails so close to home for me. I’m new to mountain biking and Rockville is like ten minutes away and I’ve been wanting to ride there lol wish me luck
we are still on lockdown here..no rides yet so I can't film any riding videos yet..sticking to watching videos like yours for a bit longer..thanks man! 🤙
This was awesome to watch! Instant classic & Sarah made it special since this was her first time seeing Rockville’s Glory! 👏🏼💃🏻🕺🏻🚲💨 #Dancing #NoShortageOfRocks
Nice way of pointing that out. (w/ emojis) It's kind of sad that men still act surprised about this kind of stuff. Not saying that you do. (Hell, you could be a woman for all I know.) "Woman strong" is a real thing. Physically, Mentally, and emotionally in most cases. Men pass the f@ck out in delivery rooms while watching. No joke. PTSD sucks! Women have been dealing with that on their own for thousands of years. They are not fueled by fear. They don't hide their emotions. Can't bruise an ego that doesn't exist. ....
"Come out of this stronger" Thats my entire mindset as well. Not gonna let this terrible situation we are all in get in the way of reaching my max potential and surpassing it! And that goes for every area in life. In fact this crazy time period should be the ultimate wake up call to live life to the fullest! Ive lost another 20 pounds with my Walking/HiTT routine since the pandemic started around 40/50 pounds in all so far and feel so great. Gonna finally get back into biking soon too so im hyped to push myself to the limit in that area too! Definitfely coming out of this mess stronger! 💪
Ummm, Brian, I know it feels like a compliment to say “...she passed the test...” but it may feel a little patronizing to Sarah...and about half the planet. You’re a lucky man and I hope you pass the test! All the best.
I might be sensitive but I agree, a few too many comments on that area.. Though I think it's probably also awkward being in love and acting natural in front of a huge TH-cam audience...
With the shut down getting to the park at 7am is beneficial. Closing parks does not make much sense. Mtb folks don’t usually take or leave debris. Back at the parking lot you may find a beer bottle or 2.
If you get back to the 50 state shred and if you hit Yooper land up here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan we have barely any cases. Also, if you come back to Marquette you gotta check out Harlow Lake trails !
Hey Brian! If your going to Colorado some great front range trails are flatiorns vista trails for xc and for real trails west magnolia and buffalo creek are incredible.
Prescribed fire would be the best way to reduce the fuel load in the park. You're right that cattle do a lot of damage like horses, to the trails. Goats and sheep do minimal damage but they do remove seedlings of trees like the oaks, and the next generation of trees is eliminated.
Yup in Carson city we use the sheep for the fire abatement. Not so much worry are the sheep, rather the sheep dogs that are guarding the herd, big Burnese since we have mtn. lion and coyote to protect them. My brother has actually been chased off by them. Can't wait for you to take her up to Tahoe so she can experience the majesty we live near!
Man i just rewatched the video you did with Michael in San Francisco and the BIG miles you did on that day on the wonderful singletracks...LOVED IT SO MUCH !!! Didn’t you say you’d go there again and do an even bigger ride this Time ? Anyway Love what your doing man 🚲
I enjoy seeing you improve your skills over time at Rockville. How do you manage the poison oak? This is the time of year I have to avoid trails at lower elevations due to it.

Better send Brian the Weblazer
And... she's got a great power to weight ratio.. sarah really can accelerate in the slow speed uphill chunk..

So lucky to find a riding mate like Sarah. Good on you!
Beautiful ripmo. Beautiful companion. Beautiful trails. Life is good man. Cheers
She seems like a good match for you! It's nice to see the way you two interact.
Sarah is an amazing rider 💪🏻
Love all the extra info you throw into these videos, it always keeps it interesting. Great job, and keep it up Brian!

You need Seth's cobweb removers!
Haha, was about to comment if anyone saw this video after Seth's product review of "the weblazer"😂
The weblazers are AMAZING! I upgraded to the $750 carbon/titanium deluxe versions for use in my races!
i was thinking the same thing
That pedal strike at around 9:20 is what I call a "Sphincter Tingler" welcome to the club!! Lol
Yeah... ouch, those really cones like a very unpleasant surprise. It's like all of a sudden you've jumped and landed uranus 🎯 on a rock..
Brian was the reason i got back into mountain biking. Appreciate everything you do bro!
I love how smooth the bike sounds.
Glad to see you're back out there. Stay safe, brother
Sara is a keeper and she is amazing, she has power for those long uphill climbs too!
I love this sport, that's why I watch every video.
Sarah looks so natural riding that stuff. Just awesome...

you 2 complement each other so well! awesome!
Awesome video Brian really loved seeing you guys enjoying the trail together
Its so cool to see you out riding the local trails since covid started. I just picked up my first 29er and I am excited to hit these trails too!
Three Thumbs Down, must be Brian's exes.
😂
All his exes live in Texas!
haha
Nah, I'd say it's the Ranchers taking exception to having the cattle kicked out of the parks.
Great stuff. The ride, Sarah, you can see them both written all over your face!
Awesome episode, Brian and Sarah! Keep up the great work.
The 50 State Shred might be on hold, but at least youre making the quota for annual Rockville videos. I always dig em!
I just love the dynamic between you guys
Dude, seeing all those rocky trails is making me miss my hometown trail so much! I need to get back to AZ to ride some good old fashioned desert tech.
You guys are a great team and she adds to the channel in a good way. Keep it up homie....and home girl! :)
Awesome, I absolutely feel the same way, get out there and ride!
That first weird section on Unknown gives me pause now and to see Sarah hit it cleanly, blind is awesome. Oh ya, Sarah can ride.

Oh man. Heal up quickly mate.
She needs to go on the van trips with you!
We used to live in Fairfield and I would go out and run that park a lot. Love it.
Sarah is such a great person and a spectacular rider! We had the same coach back in Florida and we use to race alongside each other!
Cool! Sarah says hello!

Awesome job. Love Rockville especially early in fall when its sketchy slippery and foggy
"Turkeys to the left of me, sheep to the right, here I am, stuck in the middle with you."
Maybe we can tweak that to " stuck in the piddle with you" haha
Love that song lol
Stuck in the middle with "ewe". Sheep puns!

Rockville and that area is California has always been very freaked out about getting off the trail for almost any reason.
