. Hmmm! Soooo inviting. My only query is why cut your veggie b4 washing? A lot of nutrients and all get lost in the process. I always wash my veggies before cutting for the aforementioned reason. Just my take. On the overall, very nice video.

You can cook it with spinach leaves. Spinach is the closest thing to shoko leaves. Sometimes I use kale, but because kale is so crunchy , rather than washing in hot water, I soak in hot water for about 5 mins to soften it before adding it to the stew mix

    • @yinkaakinode792

      From Wikipedia with love 😁😁😁
Celosia argentea var. argentea or Lagos spinach (a.k.a. quail grass, soko, celosia, feather cockscomb) is a broadleaf annual leaf vegetable. It grows widespread across Mexico, where it is known as "velvet flower", northern South America, tropical Africa, the West Indies, South, East and Southeast Asia where it is grown as a native or naturalized wildflower, and is cultivated as a nutritious leafy green vegetable. It is traditional fare in the countries of Central and West Africa, and is one of the leading leafy green vegetables in Nigeria, where it is known as ‘soko yokoto’, meaning "make husbands fat and happy".[5] In Spain it is known as "Rooster comb" because of its appearance.[citation needed]

Motunrayo Omotosho you’re right it’s too much meat and I don’t see how one can eat it with the side of Amala, Iyan, Eba etc🤷🏿‍♀️ I’m not gonna lie it looks good tho and I’ll probably eat it by itself 😂🤤

    This Looks Delicious.
Just one thing I don’t get is why does Nigerians calls this soup when it clearly looks like a stew to me and also the base of the preparation of it you use oil.
Here in the United Kingdom a soup is always liquid and light. Even the canned soup you buy from the supermarket have liquidity in it and light e.g chicken soup and vegetable soup
You guys have got everyone confused by calling a stew soup.
That’s not a soup but rather a stew.
