    Great raw rock and roll from a band who really enjoyed being on stage - I wish they would have Ronnie's Amp turned up to this level when he is on stage with the Stones.

    Great to see these shows again. I remember staying up late to catch them when they were on.Sometimes fell asleep before it was over. Sometimes my parents would come and tell me to shut off the TV and go to bed haha.

    Seeing these moments of the Midnight Special, take me straight back to my teenage years. I remember watching these shows on Saturday night. It came right after Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. That was the good old days for damn sure.

    First seen this years ago from their farewell concert in London back in 1974 at the Kilburn State Theatre (23DEC). One hell of a show by a talented and gifted group of musicians. Stay safe ☮️

      @@sharonsimmonds3197 Once Ronnie Lane saw the writing on the wall and bailed, it was just a matter of time, based on what I've read. The Faces were significantly the vehicle for Stewart's solo career.

      And based on what I saw for myself about 20 times, about 16/17 with Ronnie Lane and a few times with Tetsu. I'd have to agree and say you are 100% bang on.

      And just for the record Mac was the absolute bollocks on that Joanna. No one, but no one could touch him. And if he didn't like it he wouldn't play it. Had to love him. RIP Mac and Plonk. And sleep well

      Quit in 73. Tetsu Yamauchi

  • @publicanimal
    @publicanimal ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Tetsu Yamauchi was a horrible fit for them on bass. Absolutely no ability to groove. No lock with the drummer. Pathetic.

    • @Flare4roach

      He ain't no Ronnie Lane, that's for sure. Boy...they lost their heart and soul once he left.

    • @Grim177
      @Grim177 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why then were they so keen to hire and keep him despite a lot of problems with works visas etc? The biggest problem with Tetsu is that he wasn't Lane. And you fucking Plonk bores are still moaning about it 50 years later.
