They were both in a band called The Faces, later Rod Stewart and the Faces. And if you give Keith Richard the chance to play on a stage with good musicians he will enter the show.
My god this should have millions of views, have people forget what real talent is, the older I get the more I love his music, now at 63 and still rocking, thanks for posting. To hear Ronnie and Rod Stewart together with their aged voices is pure joy thanks for all the memories.
Yess, I agree. , I love Ronnie and Rod since nearly 50 years now. ❤️ ❤❤ It's an honor to hear this music and I wish for many more years for all of us with this special musicians. ❤❤❤
At 57 years old I can still remember this era of the band, my older sister was around 17 and was a huge fan of blues rock bands like The Faces, The Stones and I’d sit in her room listening and staring at the Album covers for hours thinking man how cool is this !! We will never have music like this again, man I miss those times
Omg. They just are style from head to toe on top of everything else. I continue to be so grateful for living during this time of creativity and talent.
This is just simply amazing. These icons are sounding incredible. I would of loved to have been there to experience that priceless performance. This is a musical treat of a lifetime.
I've been a musician now for 34-35yrs, and feel fortunate to have grown up in the 70's and hear all the great music we had then! I get a laugh though when young kids hear a song like this one, thinking it's new, only to discover its a classic from long ago. The surprised look from them is priceless! Sure as hell makes you feel old though.
@@MrTorreggianiI wish they'd both stayed with the Faces too! But Rod's head was being turned by hangers-on, and Ron wanted to fulfill his ambition and join the Rolling Stones. C'est la vie. 😕
I've tears in my eyes as this song places me at the end of the party with a woman I just met and I'm head over heels in love with. Please god, let this moment last forever
Are you really saying a man who has been a member of the biggest rock and roll band the world has ever seen for over 40 years a band that is still filling stadiums 57 years after they started is underrated? A band that has been seen by more people than any other on the planet,a man who has done several solo albums and was a member of one of the highest grossing bands of the 70s(faces) a two time inductee of the rock and roll hall of fame, but you think he's underatted? Hmm ok,I suggest a dictionary and look up the word

Right. Two guitarists producing one sound. Much more the way the Stones were with Brian. Brian, Mick, and Ronnie have all been the right man for the times.
He's also adding some lead notes to this performance. Very subtle. He knows how to be part of a band...as opposed a soloist surrounded by a band. Keith is a slave to the music rather than a slave to his individual abilities.
You probably didn’t that Keith wrote the lead parts for most of the Stones tune, but had the other play them because he enjoys playing rhythm so much. He’s nobody’s sideman.
Unbelievable amount of talent in that generation, their love of just playing shines from all their stuff( and still does!) before my time but inspirational still!
Tune into 'British guitarist analyses..' youtubes' He comments on how they all practised , practised , practised before they became known and also learnt to sing properly, play properly for many years.
I went to both nights of this gig. At Kilburn. An absolute musical education 1974 if memory serves me correctly. If you like this Google sure the one you need. Same set. Ian McClagan on keyboards. Willie Weeks bass. Shamefully drummers name slips me. I was a spotty teenager who got home late and got shit off of me mum, bless her! Went back the next night and got home later. She gave up on me after that. Left a key hanging through the letter box!!! Different times then. John Simmonds. Sharon's other half of 45 years
I had a rod haircut when i was 16, it was called a feather cut & you had it spiked on top, on a more serious note its good to know kids your age can appreciate the stuff i listened to, especially the faces
First time I heard Small Faces I knew the voice but I was blown away when it came to me that it was Rod Stewart 🤯 my friend giving me a music education laughed as I sat there enjoying what is easily some of the best Rock n Roll you’ll ever hear
Rod and Ronnie together on vocals with Keith on rhythm guitar is like a match made in heaven 😂❤❤❤

Rod listen no in U Go man Ron is all d special one
@georgeickhoff3646 : Originally called The Small Faces before they added Stewart. Then, they shortened it to The Faces after he joined

Ron Wood, Rod Stewart and keith richards onstage, doing this song ? this could be the best five minutes of rock ever caught on tape.

Ronnie a true artist in every sense of the word, poet, artist, musician. So talented
What a great collaboration! I have always thought Ronnie and Rod look like they could be brothers.
Its amazing how almost 50 years later Ronnie still looks about the same, while Keith is a whole different person.

Totally.
You know it is a great song and can carry its own weight when Rod is just the backup singer on it. Amazing time for Ron Wood.
Rod and Ronnie just make magic together
Man, this was one of my fav albums in high school. Seeing them do these songs is fantastic! ♥

and what a rock'nrolla

Love Ronnie's labored soft style of singing. Just fits the mood of this song perfectly.

Crowd energy, desire to play with passion, no fear of a sour note because there are none.

OMG! I just found this in my feed. I'm in heaven!
I've played that Tony Zemaitis guitar of Ronnie's. It's amazing!
*Sigh* I could listen to this over and over. I really was born in the wrong era.
Jajaja me too!!
A truly profound performance and song. Tears me up inside.
If I recall correctly, Ronnie Wood said this was written about Patty Boyd Harrison who was soon to be Mrs Clapton. They were friends from the 60s.
