78 here. A singular moment in rock music...Phil Lynott singing and the band playing "Wild One" on 1975's Fighting. I was 29 then, every time I put the LP on the turntable, I couldn't wait for it and dropped the tonearm on that song.

It truly makes me sad that Thin Lizzy will only ever be a part of our past. Phyl had such a unique voice. The guitar harmonies were incredible. There's never been another band like 'em, never will be. It's kind of crazy that I've never really gotten over Phyl's death. To this day, all these years later, Thin Lizzy is still in my top 5 all-time favorites. R.I.P. Phyl & Gary

In all fairness, Phil had to work hard at his bass playing and wasn't a virtuoso on it. With that voice and stage presence he didn't need to.

I love how Eric looks a little apprehensive when he first walks on stage but after the first few bars he looks totally relaxed. What a great performance from both musicians.
Brilliant song, that when Phil was the vocalist was pure magic. His talent was unimaginable.

It's true - nobody plays this song like Eric Bell. It's truly impressive how it's second nature to him - almost no effort at all even during his guitar solo. Best song ever!!

i said try. on this one track, bell may be better than moore but, overall, moore is probably in everybody's top 5 of all time in rock/blues. is bell? therefore, gary could have selfishly played something to draw attention away from bell but, he didn't!
Bell was lead guitar with Lizzy. yeah Moore was one of the best in the world. but not in a million year could he draw attention away from Bell. he can hold his own with anyone.

This has to be one of the greatest, one of the most underrated solos ever, the unbelievable tone in Eric Bells fingers, and he is so serene in his playing.

Eric Bell’s guitar playing is deft and sublime. Both the early Thin Lizzy and the Dual Gibson era were equally fantastic, with the iconic Phil Lynott and the great Brian Downey as the common thread.
