I’ve been in love with Rod since I was 13 I’m 58 now 😂 That voice just gets me! I love a that grit in a voice in men and women, I always got strep as kid and would lose my voice and loved the way it sounded and always hoped it would stay that way even when I was little little was always disappointed the day I woke up and I could talk normal again 😂

Absolutely lovely interview. Rod is an absolute treasure here, as well as more than a little tipsy, but it's also a lot down to the interviewer, who really keeps pace with him and hams it up just as much as he does. Seems to me from watching interviews that Rod doesn't shine in them unless he's talking to someone who challenges him. I do believe he did give the interviewer the finger after that question about his scottish heritage, though.
Sir Rod Stewart ..... a very nice guy ! Don't forget he was promoting himself in 1973 and he may come across as pissed and a " loose cannon" but look where he is now through pure talent AND massive charity work for which 50% of his knighthood was responsible. The other 50% was his massive music success . Obviously I'm a massive Rod Stewart fan , seen him live many times and never fails to entertain !
I look at this video and I look at videos of him today 💯. How I wish time could stand still and he could still be the same man he was on that show that💥 evening with that kind of personality. 🌹🎶 Rod really has a great sense of humor, I hope through the years he' had kept it!! I’m a little bit jealous of these guys, the Stones and the likes. They’re really kings, they lived like drunken kings. What fun they must have had. I’m 33 and I’ve always been too shy, I don’t know if I could play on stage, so I do art instead. They must have had such a blast!
Interesting that in an interview in recent years, he said he was never a grave digger, that the press had embellished the story, that he in fact measured the grave plots. Yet here he says he WAS a grave digger. Anyway not to worry. Love him. Saw him in concert in 1977 I think, after which I swooned over him for months 🥰
