    Another great build! I think a lot of times modular terrain isn't worth the effort to craft or purchase, as the fitment and hassle of pegs or magnets can be more trouble than they're worth, but for big, Line of sight blocking terrain, especially with a very simple, fast attachment point like you've designed here, I think you can get a ton of value and it stays fresh for just a little effort and planning.

  • @Sindig0
    @Sindig0 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Pedantry incoming.
    15:15 - There is a difference between 'use' and 'utilise', when they're used correctly (which people rarely do). You utilise something when you put it to a use for which it was not originally intended.
    If you're a Blood Angels captain who opens a door, you're "using" it. If you're the same captain who rips the door off its hinges and batters an Ork boy over the head with it, you're "utilising" it.
    BTW, love watching your vids. I used to scratch build terrain - it was always my favourite part of the hobby. Your videos are giving me that itch again. :)

Half has just basecoats so looks halfway decent on the table at a distance. I have about 1500 pts of blood angels built and half painted as well. I have close to 2000 pts of eldar that are almost all unpainted, save a unit of guardians, a farseer and a jetbike. Thank you for this video, I have watched it like 15 times now and continue to learn new things each time. I won't roast you but I have always been taught that the word "utilize" simply means using something in a way not originally intended, where as "use" means to employ as originally intended. Example - I use a paint brush to add paint vs I utilize a paint brush to clean lint out of a vent. Hope that helps, as your videos so awesome!

    What a good job, it gave me ideas to do something similar for my Ultramarines army and complete my strength of my Astra Militarum army.

    All ot needs is a trip to the bitz box; Imperify it up with a few aquilas, add a some skulls; maybe even a reliquary built in above the gate with the bones of some of the honored dead in it. Maybe even a few purity seal attached to the gates themselves.

    Thanks for your hardwork, looking forward to another episode of your buildings. This is exactly what I'm looking for, as I'm just getting started in the way of terrain building

    Gonna have to make one of these for my Flesh Tearers. I'll put "Cretaceous Park" over the gate.

    Really enjoyed this build! Thank you for sharing. It inspires me (a noob) to try things out, and this looks amazing for not a lot of money.

    As a construction guy myself they do have caulking guns that auto release the pressure when you stop pulling the trigger. More expensive but you get what you can depending on how much you use it.

    Brilliant.. love this, and cant wait to see the add ons you spoke of. You are def my favourite crafter/modeller on youtube...everything you build always has an original twist and looks so good and is so playable... 😁👍

    This is fantastic! I've always wanted to build a big fortress like this but I couldn't get anywhere with a design. I really like how you did this. I'm going to give it a try.

    I've subscribed to your channel for a awhile. I have to say your modular wall system is the best I've seen. What I like about it is that it's simple enough to replicate and your able to add detail through paint and texture. I just need to figure out how to add stairs to the backside of the wall. Thank you for this build. I look forward to making it.

      How did you do the modular removable parapet walls? Are they fastened in any way?

    Thanks, and rereferring back to a vid you did. I totaly agree when it comes to things being in scale to a model, like the stairs you do, it looks weird when the stairs for a mini is more in scale to a 3 and 3 fourths action figure. I enjoy your videos, my favorite, the servo skull, heh, that was awsome dude. Keep up the great creativity.
