      My ex-girlfriend had a small lego house (nicely made out of all red bricks) on her mantlepiece, which had been super-glued together and presented to her as a present by a previous (German) boyfriend 😒🙄
      I can only surmise that either he didn't fully understand the concept of Lego, or he simply wanted to ensure that all of his creations would 'last for a thousand years!' 😂

    Another thing you can use them for: Practicing your edge highlights! Whenever you're priming a bunch of models, just also prime a few pieces of sprue, the weirder shape the better, and just go absolutely crazy with edge highlights! If you mess up nothing was wasted but a little bit of paint!

    The crystals, gold coins and barb wire are definitely my favorites. Now my pinted Ork Boss can sleep on his pile of gold and gems safely protected by barb wires and his trusty boyz

      whats great as well is using the green transparent sprues from necrons! You can direclty cut them into shape and glue them, no painting required.
      Speaking of, those would make great bottles as well....

    Those candles are so clever! Oh by the way, if you want your wire to look better, wrap some thinner wire around it first, then coil it. It'll give you wire that looks more like barbed wire, without sharp little barbs.

      It works really well, takes about 24 hours to fully dry though =)

      Dried-out wet wipes are supposedly really good for making tents and tarps or banners. Same method as the tissue paper and pva but the wipes are much more durable and easier to shape when wet with pva.

      i'm not a fan of the hard/rough texture of them once they dry. still looking for a good solution and I don't think sprues are the answer this time

    Another set of great ideas! I particularly like the idea to glue them together and use as crystals, since sculpting those from scratch can be a bit hard to get them with nice sharp angles.

    These are great, but you really don't want to leave your paint pots open like that, it dries them out faster. Open em', get the paint you need onto your palette, then close it until you next need it :)
    Even better if you use a wet palette.
    Those bottles and candles are great!

    I remember years ago I made a wagon for D&D out of my buddy's old Imperial Guard sprues. Still one of my proudest mini modeling moments. Definitely going yo give these a shot!

    Remember my old job use to have these little steel wires you used to attach date stamps. Use to always take them home to use on minis. Could look like rebar coming out of broken buildings, metal tubes going from guns to backpacks etc.

    Many years ago in the 80s, I tried using sprues to create the frame and roll cage of a dune buggy. I failed.

    I have a me-sized (5 foot 9 inches tall) bag of sprues. I had already planned on using them as frames for bigger buildings in combination with GW cardboard from their boxes. These videos you got have given me so many more ideas tho. In like a year's time, ima have a hella cool wargaming table. thank you for inspiration!

    I've used them like wooden planks. Made a nice lookout tower and a nice fence line with them. Ideally, with enough, you could create an entire building or even a ship with them.

    I used sprues to make a roll cage recently, including using heat to add in bends to the sprue.
    I also use sprue bits as a filler for big areas that need greenstuff. Just glue in sprue bits and add greenstuff on top for detail, saves a bit of money.

    Nice ideas.
    Candle flames: invert the color scheme! Flames are white/yellow on the bottom, becomes orange and red the more you come to the top and on the top you can put some black for the smoky area.
