I was getting a little worried when you only went in for the nine good luck touches. Such a sigh of relief when you came back for the remaining three touches. 😌

Pretty sure that's from a Hagen AquaClear Filter. Looks about the right size for 30-55 gallon tanks. Total Classic. Also nice terrain broski!

Chopped in half, that little Frisbee would make a great Star Wars style power generator. I really like the balcony inside the takeaway tray; that's a cool way of added some thickness and stability to the plastic.

Sometimes there are "mom & pop" dollar stores that aren't the major dollar store chains; they often look like this. Overcrowded aisles and dusty product.

When you basecoated, this project took on a beautiful sci-fi city aesthetician. Then you 40k'd it up and reminded us that the most consistent thing in the 40k universe, is dirt lol.
I LOVE this, and I love how you just picked and pulled all the parts from random stuff. Excellent work!

Another masterpiece Eric. It reminds me [ I'm 60 btw] of a competition I entered at school, back in ..er crikey! about 1973. It was a 'future' landscape like this a little. Well, it owed its existence to a pile of containers etc. Poor paint job, poor glue [back then] but I got a runner up prize, if only I'd known about washes and dry-brushing...

What REALLY ties this pi3ece together are those design features on teh tower and shor walled platform areea that look like stylized crenellations and merlons about 1-2 " high along the base (those little raised "notched" areas). Whether that was intentional or just a happy accident, I have no idea, but they look like they were MEANT to be together.
    Thumbs up. Nice build.

Do like the balconies - I make toys for kids so everything has to be toy-box proof (parents eh) and with some acrylic sealant or spray foam on the inside I think they'd stand up to the hammering.

You're a wild man! At first I thought, Oh good, he got a wire foamcutter, no more cutting his fingers with his exacto knife ... And then you unplugged the glue gun by pulling on the cord, not the plug [eye roll here]. Love the build; stay safe!

I used 2 of those exact toy tanks in the same way, a comms piece and a detailed wall unit/panel in a tower build back at christmas time lol. They work really well for it and super easy to just pull apart and glue on. Wish the rest of the vehicles that came in that bag of army toys worked as easily into a build.

First of all, love what you're doing. I did want to pass on some knowledge I learned from cosplay creators who make armor out of foam of different thicknesses. When cutting foam use a very sharp long blade that is about 3/4 to 1" wide utility knife, and the most important part is buy a grinding stone. A stone that is double sided fine grit and finer grit measuring 6x2x1" high is what I use but you can use anything that is as big as your blade. Every time you cut a piece run the blade along the grinding stone on both sides of the blade. I heard of blades lasting up to 2 years or more. The main reason to use it is when you cut you leave a really smooth edge on the piece you cut, and this cuts down of adding fillers to make it look better and attach to other pieces better. Keep up the good work. At the moment I'm doing puppet music videos so I use a lot of different props that I make or buy. Keep up the good work.

I'd love to see more in this style---the girlfriend plays T'au and is just getting into terrain crafting, so these are gonna be super helpful for her as a point of comparison and reference. I do think the color is a bit one-note, though. It needs some black (like with the windows) and some metallics to help break things up a bit. Maybe some red, like Vior'la sept, on a few panels? Regardless, the shapes and the process in this video are invaluable, so thank you for sharing so many projects!
