The idea of plumbers and just general maintenance in the 40k setting is sending me. "Well, I could just fix up the hole but y'got yourself some 'nids there, mate."

I'd love to buy a proper set of Cathedral terrain but fuck me, a whole set of that stuff costs about half an army. Meanwhile I can pump out my own terrain with a bunch of shit from the dollar store and still have money to eat. Real hard choice, that.

My favorite terrain piece of all time were the soda cans I had piling up for recycling. Just so damn much you can do with them. Mini-outpost stations, power conduits, shelters, Small T'au bunkers, Necron....*things*. This, however, really opened my eyes a bit more. I've been dabbling with pre-built terrain from my local pet store/Walmart with incredibly cheap/cool results too. Amazing job! Subbed!

Back in the mist shrouded days of 4e 40k I used to make my space marines drop pods out of coke cans, corrugated cardboard and foamcore board. Was great stuff. Think I might just do that again, feeling a little nostalgic now.

I'm legitimately concerned about incorporating left over grease, tomato sauce, & cheese into something that's going to sit on my shelf for years. Does anyone have suggestions on how to reasonably clean/remove/sterilize the leftover pizza gunk? Or assurances that I'm worrying to much, & a good enough seal stops pests?

Brilliant, just my kind of terrain. Mostly because I'm a greasy cheapskate. One thing, I recently realised concrete isn't in fact grey. Having made my girlfriend drive round our local brutalist housing estate on her birthday, while i took pictures of grotty concrete. I discovered it's more of an off white / beige colour.
Which is as surprising as the fact that I'm not now single.
having mucked around trying to mix paints, I discovered an almost perfect match in Halfords "Ford Dove Grey" which is an awful colour for a car but ideal for base coating concrete.
    cheers.
