It’s crazy how symbolic those barn doors are. Nonplayers just see a man peaking through a crack, RDR2 folks see John in what looks like his barn, but the rest of us instantly get taken back to heartbreak. I was 14 at that time and maybe that had something to do with it, not seeing the writing on the wall, but no game had done anything like it before. LA Noire followed soon after, then RDR2 but back then you just didn’t expect what was about to happen outside those doors. God bless RDR1. Would kill for a remaster.

@@wmj1860 they are.. It's official they working on remasters for plenty of ps2-ps3 games so red dead and bully remasters are 98% guaranteed.. Probably at the end of the year or next year.. The definitive trilogy may be the only time a single player rockstar game has been disappointing so I assume they won't release another remaster in the same state
I'd be down for an RDR1 remake if they added lemoyne, New Hanover, and the rest of the map from RDR2 into the game, complete with new side missions in the eastern states, characters, and also bring all the new guns and clothing items (+other new equipment) from RDR2 as well.
RDR2 graphics are amazing, and the RDR1 story is great but the two combined are not enough to get me to buy that alone for $60, the original RDR1 still holds up today.
I really think that the RDR2 map should be unlocked & explored once you or the Player as Jack kill Ross at the end of the game as a reward but will have to play on the RDR1 map for now it's because it wouldn't really make sense if u have RDR1 missions in the RDR2 map , but yeah i think that idea of yours is great 😎

They'll have to make the RDR map twice more. The map is designed after 1899 and the epilogue is at 1907.
Red Dead Redemption takes placed at 1911. And it's epilogue takes place at 1914. Meaning they'll have remake the map to match these two time periods.

Id love to see how they remodel Dutch for his look in Rdr1. I feel he looked the most different between the two games, and he looked nigh unrecognisable at times compared to rdr2. I know thats probably due to the years of stress and unwellness both physically and mentally, his aging, as well as the years upon years of battle, not to mention just in general the graphical differences between Ps3 and ps4/ps5.
Regardless we can hope it would turn out well if it came to fruition, and i feel this video gets as close to the real deal as we can get right now, great work as always!

I would like an RDR1 remake that fleshes Jack out more. I want him to have actual full story missions beyond the one Stranger mission to kill Edgar Ross.
I'd also like fame and honor to have much more of an impact on the story like how it does in RDR2.
Neutral honor and neutral fame will lead to the normal events to happen.
High honor and max fame will lead to characters across New Austin to express great respect for the Marstons, with new lines in the main story reflecting that and maybe leading to entire towns fighting off government men in rebellion, causing an AU where Ross never retired, and Jack can fight off his men alongside townsfolk.
High honor, neutral fame might have the player optionally end the game and roll credits in any town where Jack begins writing his book.
Just examples, I dunno how to make it work without ruining the original story.

the way I see it is that it’d be close due to the dam breaking between Blackwater and Strawberry (just like in og rdr1) but at the end of the game it’ll be fixed and we’ll be able to explore all of the world during 1914 which would be amazing
Imagine playing RDR2 and then RDR1R and seeing the world evolve from 1899-1914

I have always wondered, how would a remake handle the areas opened in RDR2?
Seeing the rest of West Elizabeth, New Hanover, Lemoyne and the other state in 1911/14 I am very much interested in.
How much more civilised would they be? My understanding is - 1899: Those mentioned areas are becoming civilised, industrialised, policed and well connected; in 1907 the process is complete.
In 1911, New Austin is undergoing the same process, and in 1914 is complete and with that the Wild West is officially no more.
How would the rest of West Elizabeth and the states seen in RDR2 look in 1911/14? How will the towns and Saint Denis look? What if you stir up trouble in those states and kill/rob?
Of course Rockstar is not making games no more. They rather just sit on all that money from suckers gambling and shit in GTAO, even nine years after it came out.
Saint Denis would probably have cars in 1914 and also have feature length silent films in the theatre

The Strange Man missions in a remake would be cool. I'd like to explore his character more. Give him more cutscenes...have him appearout of know where after a mission and talk and question John.
If they did I hope they'd add references to Arthur, and Micah. Add Sadie and Charles as short appearances. Especially to give closer on Charles. Him saying his final good by and heading to Canada to be with remaindrt of Wapiti

I recently finished RDR 2 and I have played RDR 1 before it's just that I'm not a console gamer so I would love for Rockstar to remake RDR 1 and release it on PC just like Naughty Dog is doing with the Last of Us.

It's crazy to me that R* could make this happen with relative ease compared to making a game from scratch, millions of people would pay full game price for it, and they probably won't ever do it. They actually drive me insane.
From what hear, they can't remaster the game because the code isn't the best. So a remake is only way if R* wants it
