I like to think that when John was pointing the gun at Dutch on that cliff that Dutch saw Arthur pointing his gun at Dutch too and Dutch saw that even his two sons were out to kill him so he jumped
Really well done. My head canon is this would actually take place sometime just before John has his final showdown with Micah. Dutch haunted by his memories goes for a wandering solo ride and ends up in this place, confronted with the ghost of his sins. When he returns to camp and John shows up for vengeance on Micah the nightmare is still fresh in Dutch's mind. Which is why he finally sides against Micah and shoots him.
I feel like this should happen right after Dutch walks away when John kills Micha. Makes more sense to me the way he has nothing to say. Just living in his head after it all comes unraveled.
Dutch raised John and Arthur as his sons. When he turned against them, it was Micah continuously brainwashing him. Without Hosea, he didn't have another man who would reason with him. In the end, when he and Micah fell apart, he finally got some senses and understood his mistakes. He avenged Arthur while, at the same time, leaving all the money for John as forgiveness, which is also why John speaks so fondly of him in RDR1. He realized he wasn't all bad. Dutch is a complicated character, but I can't call him completely evil the way others talk about him. We know he used to be a good person. Even in the end, Dutch had plenty of opportunities to shoot John during the events of RDR1, but he kept sparing him, and so did John the last time they met.

I half wonder if he's muttering his lines in the conversations he's remembering. Partially reliving the past still, maybe acting like everything is more or less fine, maybe trying to figure out where everything went wrong
Make a serious Dutch visits all camp spots hell maybe even visiting guarma and getting flashbacks some of zombie characters like lenny Shaun hosea and Kieran
I think it fits well because Dutch’s mind is long gone at this point. However I do say they should maybe add a filter or something whenever he’s moving like that to mask the movement illusion.

This feels like something that actually happened, not the part where he goes back to beaver hollow because obviously he will not, but actually the thoughts that Dutch has on his my mind are always playing he always remembers the gang and the old days where it used to be all good before blackwater, during the story of RDR 2 he was slowly losing his mind because of the trauma of what happened, people assume that Dutch is a bad guy and I don’t blame them in reality Dutch is one of the most tragic characters I’ve seen, in the epilogue Dutch is nothing but a shell of his former self he was broken realizing what he has done to the gang and leaving Arthur to die he came back and shot Micah, but in the end it was pointless he got consumed by the hatred and the dream of living a free life as an outlaw that’s why we get a crazy Dutch in RDR 1 he is a man that refuses to change in a world that doesn’t need the like of him anymore.

@JCGM Yeah, that's actually something I've been recently thinking should be in the next Grand Theft Auto entry. The characters being fully animated even during conversations inside a car, similar to when RDR2 characters are fully animated when riding a horse or a wagon to a destination.
@JCGM It would definitely be more technically impressive given it's been in development for many years for a new generation of consoles. As for the storytelling, I hope they step up their game over GTA V and give us a more in-depth narrative with serious themes but with comedic moments sprinkled in too akin to GTA IV than another overly heightened story with on-the-nose satire.

And the fact that he decided to settle on Beecher's Hope, that's like a 10 min horse ride away from Blackwater. He should've fled to another country (Like Charles) or far, far into the east of America. Since he and the gang did a clusterfuck of robberies/massacres everywhere, he was wanted either dead or DEAD.
I love the idea of Dutch returning to all the old places the gang roamed around and reflecting on what he's done - an old man deranged with ghosts of the past.

Hoping RDR3 somehow has actual seasons in the game, even if they only change linearly with the story and not independently/based on in-game time passed.
God this is so good. Dutch reflecting on all the evil deeds he’s done and being literally haunted by the ghost of Arthur Morgan had me on the edge of my seat.
I don't think I need to add any greater insight than ... well ... in my own opinion I don't think Dutch would be 'capable' of this level of reflection, even years later ... it'd all be too near. The last vivid, cogent memory in his mind before he lost it completely. But this is pretty damn good, and I think it encapsulates the kind of spectre of the past that hangs over Dutch, and always has. He's always been holding on to an idealism of a better way, mostly attached to the past. and now even that faulty and imperfect liberty he had with his gang, alongside Arthur and the rest, is dead and gone. To be truly alone, and imprisoned by his own failings, must absolutely have driven him beyond madness. Because it was all for naught in the end ... ... you can't fight gravity. Can't fight change. Can't fight ... nuthin'. His time had passed.
I swear, Red Dead Redemption III needs to be about Dutch. Some have said they want it to be a story of him reforming the gang but I’d honestly like to see his journey after Chapter 6, leading up to American Venom. Maybe there can be flashback missions, though. I’ve heard people say the main character of RDRIII will be Mac Callander but that doesn’t sound right to me. Let’s hope it’s Dutch.

Dutch Knew His Faults, It can Be Seen by his Eyes Knewing He Betrayed Arthur, The One Who always had his Back, He Should have Sided with him Until it was too late
Dutch is probably one of my favorite fictional characters. The fact that people are still debating on wether or not he was sincere in his love for the gang shows how complex and layered he is.
Dutch is haunted by his own mind and his morality being represented as Arthur is still trying to remind him of the man he used to be instead of the monster he has become thanks to micah’s influence
I love it how Arthur shows up behind Dutch half decayed and says "Dutch" I seriously think they should have a dlc where you play as Dutch after Arthur's death leading up to killing Micah. Honestly I like the idea of Dutch constantly having regrets and flashbacks after the old days with the gang. And I also like thinking about the fact that maybe Arthur’s ghost was hunting him till the end of his life
I’d like to think the ruminations Dutch had in those 8 years made him see just how much of a monster he had become, and how responsible Micah was for that.
This gave me an idea. For rdr3 we play as dutch and the opening hours of the game is how him and micha ended up together at that shack when John goes to kill micha then after you (dutch) leaves you play as him spiraling out of control haunted by his past.
Dutch DLC could work tbh. In the end of RDR2 he kinda got his own redemption. Would love to see his journey leading up to the Epilogue. This is a quality short man. Keep it up:)
If Rockstar wanted to dabble in horror then I think they should definitely delve into Dutch's mind about his descent into madness and calling that Undead Nightmare would get me %100 sold
That's a goddamn piece of art! Dutch is my favorite character in the rdr series, his duality is so interesting. This shows that really well, showing that the ghosts of the past haunt him. Love your channel!
@@boybillythebutcher4575 most people are like "he sucks" or "he's bad". (if we're being real, pretty much everyone in the gang was bad) but, Dutch wasn't more evil than any of the other members. They all had this line that they don't want to cross, but pretty much always do. They all tried to convince themselves that they were fighting for a utopia. Dutch was clinging to that idea all the way, he has multiple acts of evil, pretty much his whole life, but he kept believing, or at least trying to believe that he was fighting for a better world. He never wanted to believe that he was a criminal, when the delusion started to fade away, the gang fell apart, only Micah was left. He convinced Dutch that they were still fighting for this heaven on earth. Only too late did Dutch find out the truth. Becoming a desperate man. Wild, untamed to the fullest in rdr1, he doesn't care anymore, he'll do what he was always good at. Becoming the messiah for the lost souls of the natives, fighting a losing battle alongside them. Committing suicide, dying free. Not by any bullet of any lawman.
Imagine if Red Dead Redemption 3 is another prequel story about a young Dutch that shows his transformation into an outlaw and his younger days, and the opening cutscene of the game is this one.

this scene would probably take place in 1906. after being rumoured dead in a bank robbery that year, dutch decides it’s finally time to confront his past. he returns to the place where his gang fell apart and where he left his best friend to die. he is haunted by Arthur’s memory as he walks through the cave. he begins hearing Micah’s voice too. everything becomes clear to him. Arthur and john were right. they never betrayed him. he betrayed himself by allowing Micah to betray him. he still can’t accept that he’s the reason the gang fell apart so lobbies all the blame on Micah. he is depressed, lonely but for the first time in years he’s regaining full control of his life. but with Micah still out there he knows he can’t ever be comfortable. it’s at this moment he decides it’s Micah’s time to die. he leaves beaver hollow with one thing on his mind: revenge
Rdr Undead nightmare 2: Dutches Decent. Dutch fights through a zombie apocalypse filled with the dead members of the gang, as he makes his way to beaver hallow.
This is what RDR3 should be based around, what Dutch did between 1899 and 1907, Lord only knows that there's so much that can be explored. The game can either end with or feature at some point him going to Mount Hagen and shooting Micah.
It's just slightly weird that Dutch is using Micah's DA Revolver when Dutch is known to carry two Schofields with one being black and another silver or in this case, nickel plated. However, the scene itself is well done and would say pretty canon. This could be the explanation on why Dutch went totally mental and apeshit in RDR1 with Hosea being gone and he basically caused the death of his own "son" Arthur and alienate everyone that had fought for his cause for decades and even worships him.

Dutch is probably one of my favorite fictional characters. The fact that people are still debating on wether or not he was sincere in his love for the gang shows how complex and layered he is.

This gave me an idea. For rdr3 we play as dutch and the opening hours of the game is how him and micha ended up together at that shack when John goes to kill micha then after you (dutch) leaves you play as him spiraling out of control haunted by his past.

RDR3. It starts at some point after 2, and ends at the end of 1. Dutch's redemption with Arthur's memory haunting him along the way.

@@boybillythebutcher4575 most people are like "he sucks" or "he's bad". (if we're being real, pretty much everyone in the gang was bad) but, Dutch wasn't more evil than any of the other members. They all had this line that they don't want to cross, but pretty much always do. They all tried to convince themselves that they were fighting for a utopia. Dutch was clinging to that idea all the way, he has multiple acts of evil, pretty much his whole life, but he kept believing, or at least trying to believe that he was fighting for a better world. He never wanted to believe that he was a criminal, when the delusion started to fade away, the gang fell apart, only Micah was left. He convinced Dutch that they were still fighting for this heaven on earth. Only too late did Dutch find out the truth. Becoming a desperate man. Wild, untamed to the fullest in rdr1, he doesn't care anymore, he'll do what he was always good at. Becoming the messiah for the lost souls of the natives, fighting a losing battle alongside them. Committing suicide, dying free. Not by any bullet of any lawman.
Imagine if Red Dead Redemption 3 is another prequel story about a young Dutch that shows his transformation into an outlaw and his younger days, and the opening cutscene of the game is this one.

this scene would probably take place in 1906. after being rumoured dead in a bank robbery that year, dutch decides it’s finally time to confront his past. he returns to the place where his gang fell apart and where he left his best friend to die. he is haunted by Arthur’s memory as he walks through the cave. he begins hearing Micah’s voice too. everything becomes clear to him. Arthur and john were right. they never betrayed him. he betrayed himself by allowing Micah to betray him. he still can’t accept that he’s the reason the gang fell apart so lobbies all the blame on Micah. he is depressed, lonely but for the first time in years he’s regaining full control of his life. but with Micah still out there he knows he can’t ever be comfortable. it’s at this moment he decides it’s Micah’s time to die. he leaves beaver hollow with one thing on his mind: revenge

Dutch fights through a zombie apocalypse filled with the dead members of the gang, as he makes his way to beaver hallow.

I think dutch should be the main protag of RDR3. Taking place mostly pre RDR2 and between RDR2 and RDR1 and a little bit during RDR1.
This is what RDR3 should be based around, what Dutch did between 1899 and 1907, Lord only knows that there's so much that can be explored. The game can either end with or feature at some point him going to Mount Hagen and shooting Micah.
This makes me wish that Red Dead Redemption 2 had director mode....

It's just slightly weird that Dutch is using Micah's DA Revolver when Dutch is known to carry two Schofields with one being black and another silver or in this case, nickel plated.
However, the scene itself is well done and would say pretty canon. This could be the explanation on why Dutch went totally mental and apeshit in RDR1 with Hosea being gone and he basically caused the death of his own "son" Arthur and alienate everyone that had fought for his cause for decades and even worships him.
Red Dead Online isn't that successful. Just make some damn dlc already Rockstar.
