So I’m usually feeling put down with hurt pain and anxiety, but I can’t help but share the happiness I feel from Jesus. After reading the Bible I feel better and clearer. It’s like a break

What parents basically think is that we are only in the second stage of depression where we still try to do things that make us happy but they don't. Parents believe that we aren't happy because we don't try to do hobbies, go out, do fun stuff. They don't realise that we've tried everything for years and too many bad things happened and now nothing can ever make us happy anymore. At some point you become too scared to even laugh or smile out of fear of your parents thinking you are faking it. My parents haven't done anything for my mental health ever... except sometimes cry when I have a final nervous breakdown. Then they forget.

I love this girl! Thank you for being so open about your mental health, these are really great tips 💕 I also struggle with anxiety and depression and I definitely realized it was at it's worst when I was turning to unhealthy coping mechanisms and had a terrible sleep schedule. And omg I get so hyperfocused on editing and doing work too and I literally never remember to take breaks- it's really so important!!

Thank you for sharing such a great comment :) I need to take my own advice when I get so focused with editing lol

Omg your cat watching the water run 😭 I love how you're so open about MH and spreading awareness! I tend to feel low in the winters and colder days, so I try to apply a lot of these into my daily routine! such as eating fully balanced meals, creating a good sleep schedule and putting my energy into something I enjoy! This was so nice to watch and hear your experience! thank you for sharing with us 💕

He's so cute, it's funny how fascinated he is with running water. I try to be honest about my mental health because I know a lot of people are probably feeling similar things. The winter can be brutal, I need to focus on doing those things too! I really appreciate the sweet comment :)

Hey I'm here from Ashleigh's video! Self care is so important and something I wish I had learned about when I was younger! Finding healthy coping mechanisms really makes all the difference. Cleaning, journaling, mediation, even just deep breaths or breaks from electronics can be so nice. I find if I do the big things like eating, bathing, sleeping ect the small things fall into place and visa versa 🙂

Yes girl. Before I had my daughter I used alcohol and drugs to cope with my anxiety and depression & it was gasoline to the fire.
I had to ditch all of that crap and it helped immensely.
It’s no magic cure, but it was a game changer.
    Love your channel.
I think phone breaks are super important too! I can feel my anxiety increasing by being on here too much

Thats a great way of describing it, "gasoline to the fire", it kept me spiralling in a negative loop. Now I'm also done all of that stuff and life isn't perfect but it's much better! XOX

These were such great tips! The very first one about eating....when my anxiety levels get high I have a hard time eating and that makes it so much worse. Great reminder to make sure I'm nourishing my body. So many great points. Sometimes it's hard to reach out for help, but support is so essential.

    • @alexandrastott

Although major depression is the final stage of depression where nothing makes us happy anymore, I do believe somewhere deep in my heart that if my ex came and asked me for forgiveness and we finally moved on .. I wouldn't be majorly depressed. I'm heartbroken and crying at 3:30 am... It's been a year since we broke up .. can't find a psychologist.

When I was younger I never used to talk about my problems and it just used to built up and then it would come out in a fit of rage, then when I started going to councilling sessions,I could literally feel the weight being lifted off my shoulders after every session, it helped so much!
Sorry I’ve just spammed your comments 😂
