I write my own affirmations, I agree they should be something that resonate with how you express yourself. I could not do it in the car, though, because my brain goes into deep relaxation by default as soon as I start saying my affirmations, which would make the car drive unsafe. Something to consider, since I assume I am not the only one to whom that happens.

Smaller and smaller and smaller! I appreciate the bite-size pieces for projects idea for tasks...this video inspired this idea that we could actually apply it to goals too, like if we let them be as simple as they actually are when we have attained them and are seeing them retrospectively, they seem a lot smaller and almost like "duh". So we try seeing them that way from when we set them...oooh!

Muchelle, based on your recent morning routine video idea about turning on the lights in the morning, I set Alexa to turn on my bedside lamp 5 minutes after my alarm goes off at 5.45am. That has been so helpful in Getting Me Out of Bed! The dark has always been the stumbling block. But with the light on, it is much easier to go ahead, throw back the covers, and Get Up. Thanks you so much! Love your channel. You have given me so many great ideas about living intentionally. My life is changed for the better.

Hi @muchelleB - I love these suggestions! I just find one thing confusing - or weirdly contrasting information. If you're going to the effort of changing your inner dialogue through affirmations - why have lots of routines set up for 'lazy girl days'. REaffirming so-called 'laziness'?. Why not call them what they are?! Gentle cleaning days. Gentle workout days. Days where one needs to be gentle with oneself... I'm not lazy because i'm tired! Or overworked, or depressed. It feels like naming them 'Lazy Day..' ONLY reaffirms the shame element and perpetuates the shame cycle of hustle culture. Just a thought anyway

I integrated lying down workouts when I was a kid without realizing it was a whole niche of exercise. I would sit and read books for hours on end which was great for my mind but not for my body and one day I just had the thought, "Why not spend this time better? I can read AND exercise at the same time! I'm such an innovator!"
I used that even into college where chapters of textbooks seemed to drag on--breaking it up into one paragraph of wall sits, next one rest, next one bridges, etc. was much better than idly sitting at a desk for hours (and also encouraged me to read quicker so I could rest sooner😅).

I feel you, it is so hard with a demanding job and injuries on top, it happened exactly like that to me a few years ago. Just telling you my story in case it helps, not for you to do the same I did but just so you know it is eventually going to get better. I first focus on recovering with physiotherapy (bad twist in the ankle), which left the house a mess and my nutrition in really bad shape. Once my ankle was fine I followed the clean mama routine (her blog explains everything, I didn't buy any of her products only followed ther routine). It took almost a month to get the house in shape, cleaning only half an hour each day means not everything gets done. Once momentum hits, everythig start to get better, but it is slow.

I actually felt like I spoke really slow in this video! Best thing to do is change the speed of the video so that it plays slower 💛

@@muchelleb I love the speed but people tell me I talk too fast 😂

I just deleted TikTok and Instagram and remained off of them indefinitely. These companies actively harm people to keep them scrolling and it's yucky. :(
