Thanks so much Matt. I was going to buy a Tuscon Highlander and after watching your videos I took an ultra for a test drive. Wow. Saved me $20K. Picking up my Haval H6 ultra 4wd on the weekend as it finally arrived. Aliexpress has amazing boot mats to suit the car $170.

Your videos are the best and very good information. I just ordered h6 ultra and pick up on Thursday. These cars are great value for money 💰 other car companies can learn from Havel and add more features instead milking the same old same old for years.. this company is very big overseas. Your videos helped me so much now I’m ready to fiddle like a champion

Apparently with the auto start stop, if you wiggle the steering wheel it turns the car on. Something you can do if you want to take off quicker. Very informative vids. Thanks

Thank you so much!! All the reviews saying some of these features aren’t great but never mentioned the fact that they can be turned on and off. I drive a Subaru for work with all these functions and they can be too much and annoying. You hve me sold. Cheers!
Hi, I recently got Haval H6. I love the car and the value it offers at this price point. Only a few things I don’t like about it. One of the things is that the seat heating and ventilation function is buried somewhere in the settings. Ever time I want to use it, I have to find it in the settings menu. Is there a way to create a shortcut for this feature to make it quickly accessible ?

Great video! Do you have to turn off the options you don't want in intelligent systems every time you start the car or do they stay off until you turn them back on?

And auto on and off feature is great. Do you know that it won't turn your engine off if you don't break hard. I brake hard when I need to wait a long time in traffic light so the engine turns off and brake lightly so the engine won't turn off. Cheers

For turn indicating auto on feature, I think you can turn off the cam by pressing the physical button down below

Excellent Video Matt, I have the Ultra hybrid and the intelligent start stop is actually pretty good. It switches to EV when u r stand still or slow for that matter. I am not sure if this option overrides anything or if this is the default mode in the hybrid anyways.

Hi Matt love these vids very helpful - Ordered the HEV H6 Ultra due this month - what you're thinking about the 'lane keep assist' feature seeing a few comments that it takes over from the driver inputs if it can - did you disable it or not?
Nice video, thank you. Is it possible to turn down the indicator noise to just the flasher can (that's if there is a flasher can). The indicator comes out both side front door speakers and is really annoying my Uber passengers. Other than that, great car.

Just put the money down for a Vanta and first thing I wanted to know is turning off intelligent engine stop/start. Good video Matt. How do you find the Ultra a year on?
I’ve not seen anyone do night time wet weather demo. Last night I drove my haval hybrid on a 5 hour trip in stormy weather with poor road conditions and reduced visibility, for the first time. I found the glare off the screens also affected visibility. I ended up covering the drivers screen with a cloth which helped. I’ve yet to figure out if or how to dim the screens, I find they are too busy and intrusive for night time driving.

I’ve been trying to find out more about the drive mode technology on the 2wd H6. I’m not an off road driver but living in a rural area I need good traction on some of the roads and driveways I use. Do you know what the standard drive modes on the 2wd H6 cater for?
Does the snow mode for example control the diff slip in slippery conditions?

I’ve heard others say that but it’s not the case for me. I make a lot of calls and it’s been fine.
Hello Matt, I have pretty much copied what you have on both screens. I have paired my Samsung S9+ but in the car settings I cant select music. Calls and Messages are fine, but It wont let me select music. Any Ideas

Have the same problem. All setting revert to on when I restart vehicle. Any advice?
There is no way to keep it fixed it will reset every time

have you found this? initially it used to fold (or at least i think so) now I can't get it to fold when i lock/unlock

Heya. I bought a 2023 h6 today and i noticed every time i put it into park it resets my settings. Particularly the eco driving mode gets turned off. Do you know of how i can lock in the chosen settings as defaults?
Hi Mate. Press ok button when you are in the trip A then it will show the trip B. Trip A goes to zero every day and trip B goes to zero only when you manually do it. I change the trip B to zero when I fill the fuel just to know the fuel efficiency. Cheers
Is there a way to see fuel efficiency from when you get it, or would you just have to not reset trip b ever?
@@ThinJuzzy82 yeah the car does show the fuel efficiency automatically but I kind of check it manually like fill the tank to full and turn the trip B to zero and next time I fill the tank to full I get to see how many kms I have got in trip B say 330 kms and the fuel I have filled is 30 liters. So I know I'm getting 11 kms per litre etc. Not sure if this is what you have asked?

At 5.13 it shows Function option on the left hand side menu. I do not have hat in my Ultra. How do I change the Auto ignition setting off ?

Thanks for the great vids! Thinking of getting one very soon. I'd be interested to know how much you paid for the Ultra and if you were able to bring them down much from the sticker price... but not sure this is the appropriate forum to ask that!!
Yes i have the Ultra AWD, sticker price in NSW is $38,990 - I paid quite a bit less than that, less than the sticker price for the 2WD Ultra actually. The dealers will try and play hard with you and tell you there isn't any margin - there is, if you have time keep searching for the right deal.

I was surprised there is no auto high beam which is getting quite basic now but I won't be upgrading till 2023 so maybe they'll remedy this. My biggest issue I guess is re sale down the track what are your thoughts was this a concern for you?? Love the pearl white exactly the colour I'd get. Also do you think the centre drivers dash is ok with size it looks kinda small? Many thanks!!!

Hi, how is the sound system in the ultra? Does it have a subwoofer and is the quality better than other factory speakers?
It has an extra two speakers and DTS sound. Certainly not as bass oriented as I’m used to, my previous car has a Bose sound system that was great.
Which buttons are you pressing to change the audio to show mileage left instead as it’s not doing it on mine

Hey Matt, I’ve just gotten my H6 GT version which has the same interface. Do you know how to keep it in sport mode all the time? I’ll pop it in sport mode and then when I turn the car off and turn it back on it’s back in normal mode. I’d like to drive it in sports mode all the time but can’t seem to find any setting for that.
I got H6 hybrid,it's normal setting when you change to sport mode and will return back to normal setting after you stop engine.I have always change from standard to economy and will go back to normal setting after i turn engine off.There are 2 selections will return back to normal,other is keeping lane when turn engine off,this is the main issues i have encounter otherwise all is fine.I have spoke to my dealer about this problems, told me this is normal to return back and cannot save it after you have change it.I have to get use to it but yes it's a pain.

Yes, it has Android Auto but I cannot test it as I only have an iPhone. Bluetooth is great.

I've set my star to change into sports mode! The paddles annoy me, I knock them with my knees and they put it onto manual mode 😮
Does the vehicle saves the settings (specifically safety features) permanently or you have to set it again to what you need each time you turn on the ignition?
Yes, it remembers and saves it. No need to change anything at reboot
@@wimudi mine reverts back to default on settings when I restart.
I have noticed that cruise control increase and decrease speed by 5km/hr..any chance to change this in case i want to drive to 81 or 82 km/hr?
No. It will go in 5km increments. Most newer cars will do this. If you want to drive 82km/h go to that speed and then turn on the cruise control and it will maintain it.

Hello Matt. I bought a Haval H6, display wont show Android Auto, plus I have a different grill, one of the older model grills on a 2021 model. Haval service hasnt replied, any ideas?
Usb cable for phone must be plugged into the USB port on the passenger side. Drivers side usb is for charging only hope this helps
Do you get motion sickness. On our test drive I found that we surfered a little motion sickness?
No I don’t. But I do a lot of driving and have never had any sort of motion

Love my haval h6 ultra best car I have ever bought.. wish we had the wifi option here in Australia so we can update the firmware without going to the dealer.. unless the settings for wifi are hidden somewhere but I haven’t found it yet. When I tap the firmware version 10 times it’s wants a password no idea 🤷♂️ what the password is..

@@tl3733 I asked the dealer at service time they had no idea 🤷♂️ and said it has been set from factory I’m still trying to find the password I think more options might be hidden to fiddle with
What's the unlock mode? What's the difference between 4DR and the other mode ?
When you unlock the car either drivers door only or all the doors
So some settings like crash safety assist if you turn it off once it will reset every time you start your car again, this is so annoying.

It can’t be disabled. It has been added as a feature in other regions like South Africa but Australia struggles with updates.
Can be set to 240km it’s done on the little screen in front of driver from memory press home button then over to settings cog and change the speed alert to higher speed

Yes it does have both car play and Android Auto, AA is enabled by software upgrade at dealer before delivery
