Yes I have set mine up that way since I have had the car I just wish they would add it as one of the functions for the wild button on the steering wheel that would be awesome.
I'd love to have the wildcard button take us straight there (even if they won't let us toggle it on/off with that button straight away). Even just a shortcut would be nice.

You might not think it’s life changing but you’ve definitely helped my frustration I’ve had since having the software update. I got really annoyed at my dealer as they didn’t properly explain that it would turn back on every time with the update. Thank you

Alternatively, I've just swiped to the left and that drive mode screen is there and clicked intelligent on that screen. One more swipe than your way but a lot easier than going through the full menu
Thanks. This is super helpful. ELK is distracting and not helpful in New Zealand roads. And the loud intrusive bells and gongs that wake the children are infuriating.
I tried to use the shortcut method today but my H6 system only shows greyed out vehicle settings when trying to choose the option. Engine off or on still no go. I wonder whether it is a South African version issue.... BTW I also dislike the ELK - it is very distracting with chimes and gongs all the time..
@@ValueCarsAUI worked out why it’s doing that. If you already have the widget on your display you can’t have it on “twice”, so delete it then when you go back to install it, you will have an option on the size of the widget. If you choose a small widget it won’t show the word “intelligent” so choose the large widget. Sorry if that sounds confusing. Let me know if that works. Thanks Dmitri for uploading this video👍🏻
Haval H6 2021 Ultra 4x4. Just had media update because media screen stayed blacked out . Before update I used ELK as the only indication of it functioning was via steering wheel vibration. With update it also flashes up notification on dashboard plus an alarm sound. Every time it ventures near a line or edge even on dirt roads !!! Bloody annoying! If the alarm could be turned off, but not possible dealership informed me. So if you are offered update and you’re media has no problem I would not recommend it. Also you have deactivate it every time you start up car.
Yeah sounds annoying mate, and this is the key reason why I'm still a bit apprehensive of Tank 300 (and 500) as they probably use the same ELK "brains", and will spoil the whole ownership experience. Unconfirmed of course, but I have no reasons to currently believe otherwise.

Talvez puedas probar esta versión del H6 para comprobarlo. Gracias
Great video Dimitry but I just tried on my Tank 300. It doesn't have intelligent mode choice 😭. What it has is TPMS and front/centre/rear differential state (lock/unlock).
@@ValueCarsAU tyre pressure monitor system. The intelligent driving menu cannot be set as a shortcut, unlike on your H6. So I have to go through the long way everytime to reach ELK function. Hope there is a future software upgrade for this.
@@ValueCarsAUUpdate - If I tapped the screen from TPMS, it will bring up vehicle setting but I still need to tap Intelligent drive and lane assist system sub menu to bring up ELK. So its still extra two taps from your video but improvement rather than going through main menu.
I have read alot about lane keep assist recently, and seen almost every single brand of cars which has LKA having this problem since 2017.(maybe even earlier than that) Some may fixed it some still havent. quite alot contradictory information out there. An interesting thing I read not long ago, was in order to get a higer ancap safty rating, they will require certain lane assist to be on everysingle time the car is turned on. If this is true then this is one of the reason manufacturers hesitant to allow user to permanently turn off everything.
Now that I've been driving a Subaru for almost a year I can tell you that ELK in Subaru is *present* BUT feels completely different to the lame implementation of Haval H6.
ELK is a lot of things, and this could be one of them, but I just comment on what is right in my face every single time I drive, and that's the forced emergency lane keeping when there's no emergency.
NO, not on the Jolion! Sorry Dimitri but the Jolion has a different software layout and is not customisable, swipe left to right for the shortcut menu but you can’t change or re-arrange the items. LKA cannot be disabled via the infotainment menus either.
Does anyone know how to add these kind of shortcuts in the Haval Jolion? Swiping left on the screen brings up a series of shortcuts, but how do you add to these? I think this video is for the for the H6 and was wondering if you do something similar in the Jolion, given the software is essentially the same (however the screen he creates the shortcuts on does not appear to be on my 2022 loan Jolion).
Yes GWM needs to speed up their upgrades of their Lane Keeping and the other driver assist systems. I have another comparison video (of those systems) coming up next week.

Maybe someone who bought recently in AU (overseas regulations are different) can comment. I've heard nothing that would suggest it.
