First time I've heard "tip" pruning. Interesting, My Satin Pothos always looks so scraggly I will have to try doing that with mine.

You should! Tip pruning is done on both indoor & outdoor plants. Helps them to fill in a bit. Nell

I was glad to read on your blog that you left your other cuttings in the water for 8 months. I've some cuttings that took a LONG time to root so they've been in water for a long time and I was a little concerned about the transition to soil but it sounds like you did ok! lol ... Most of the cuttings were actually long internode areas that have NO leaves at all. I just wanted to see what would happen.. now they all have leaves so it worked :-) ... took quite a while tho.

Anita - I've lived in Tucson for 5 years now. I agree with you. We had a lot of rain this summer so the flora greened right up. Nell

Hi! The plant behind you that doesn't have leaves is good for sprain but be careful with the sap coz it can cause blindness😊

Hi Dawn! I know all about that Euphorbia sap - I've done a blog post on it. Nell

The guy at the plant store let me take a vine off one of these but the leaf stems are really short. Like barely an inch. Do you think the cuttings will do okay with half the leaf submerged in the water as well. It's the only way I can keep the node in the water.

I do a lot of leaf propagations and sometimes have really short stems like you have. I figured rather than throw the cutting out I have submerged the leaf up halfway or even a bit more. I have not have 100% success with this as I get some rotting but I would say about 60-70% success so it is definitely worth doing.

Do you keep this plant outdoors? If so do you keep it outside year round?
