People don't realize what all you miss when you fly everywhere. Every vacation I take, I drive. I just went on a 5000 mile vacation at the end of September. Thanks for taking us along, a lot of the places I see are ideas from you and Sleeperdude like the Chugwater Soda Fountain.
I have never been on an airplane and don’t have any plans on it The wife says I have a very short span of adventure but I love traveling I guess that’s why I drive truck for a living
Two things. First, congrats on farming out the work on the Patrol Barn Garage. That's how you know you've made it. Second, Feeeesh (Fish) does not have literally ANYTHING going on upstairs. Absolute smooth brain. Zero wrinkles. I love him.
@toddmccarter45 I currently have two cats and they share one braincell. 1 has it 99% of the time and the other is lucky he's pretty otherwise he would be in trouble a lot more often.
Dalton , I love you no homo , my gf is a crafter and crocheter too , I love the fact you do you, you still smoke, and no pun intended , a breath of fresh air. thankyou and jess and feesh for all you do. And JD deserves his own channel , he is a knowledgeable young man :)
It's nice to see the two of you take some time for yourselves, but you're still letting us have some sneak peeks- that's awesome! I'm so glad you two found eachother- you both compliment your relationship so amazingly. Jess is a catch! You make sure you treat her right brother :)
I'm disabled and was able to get a free Interagency Access Pass. Living in the Pacific Northwest it's been great. The Parks have done an awesome job with improving wheelchair access at many of their locations.
I love it when you "take us along" on your trips/vacations. We get to see places & things we may not experience on our own. It feels like we are actually there. So much that I felt bad that "I was there"... and J.D. wasn't !
You started FT TH-cam in March, I just got my play button this week and am hoping to go FT myself at the end of the school year as my wife and I are going to move (hopefully) to an area where she can teach and pay all the bills entirely off of her salary in case things get unreliable on my end. Woo.
Seems like the Wild West is calling to Dalton! I live in Central AZ and love it. Not to mention it's the best area in the world to rescue derelict cars.
I'm glad you and Jess are taking a real vacation, you needed a wrench break, especially after getting poisoned by all the vermin skook and whatever else was poisoning the air from year's of brewing. Ii appreciate you filming it over here on your second channel. I missed JD, because he is pretty funny the more i see him picking up your sense of humor, but he has learned so much. He is lucky to have you around, i feel bad for the boy's over at VGG, because Derek has such a buisy schedule, they don't see him like they did when he first started you tube. Family is the most important thing, and when you get old like me, and your family has mostly passed on, you really miss them. G-d bless, looking forward to the wrenching.
I noticed that also. I was a big fan of his in the seventies when he was doing his CB trucker songs. I believe he just recently passed away within the last year or so.
@@paulloranger545If you ever find yourself stopped on Black Bear Road in your Jeep, I wouldn't suggest trusting Roy Gene to put a rock under the wheel.
Looks like you came into my home town of Moab! Might had even driven by my property I have all the old cars south of town!! I saw the thumbnail and figured it was Moab. Good for you guys
Congrats on making TH-cam full time. Remember it's not work if you love what you're doing. Nope, it's still work but it's much better if you like it. Thanks for bringing us along.
I drove the family through Colorado 3 years ago. It amazed me how the landscape completely changed every 30 minutes. Here in Florida, NOTHING changes. Thanks for rekindling my memories.
In the 70’s they let us just run wild through the aircraft graveyard & was told “don’t break anything but you can take whatever fits in your pockets” we played one of the best games of hide n seek I can remember & have a couple gages off the B-29 peacemaker in a box somewhere, pretty sure they were scrapped so I’m glad to have saved a crumb
Dude, I'm digging that Tahoe! I like playing with surplus law enforcement/first responder vehicles. I played with and owned more old-school ones: 68 Galaxie (former San Diego PD unit) and an 85 Dodge Diplomat (California Highway Patrol).
Somebody from Colorado. You actually said alamosa correctly. You're the first one from out of state that I have heard to actually say it correctly. Thank you!
Wow! $25 jerky. Good for you Dalton. In no small way you are a TV star, whatever that means today. I would be sad if you weren't eating $25 jerky on your vacation. Thanks for making the most relatable TV show. It's fun and your family and friends are funny.
6 minutes in and I just want to say taking your dog on your trip is great. They usually can go longer than you can without having to stop to pee lol at least mine did on a 4-hour road trip with my brother up to lake Michigan a couple of weeks ago. And they are so entertaining.
Awesome trip, thanks for letting us tag along! I love aircraft, definitely going to check out that museum, thanks for the heads up 👍🏼 The Pheeeeesh need his own YT channel for sure, he's the bestest boy ❤
I used to stop at the triple T all the time driving trucks. I have never seen the restaurant so empty. But they also started charging for semi parking, so that explains it.
I used to stop at the Tripple T a LOT when I drove over the road. Great place. Too bad you're already home, I would have suggested you get yourself some Hatch's Greene Chile to take home with you. I'm not one for spicey things, but it's pretty good stuff. Heck, in New Mexico, you can stop in any fast food place and get it put on burgers.
Edward Abbey: Desert Solitude = Highly recommended reading !!!! you are welcome. Great video, glad you 2 got to enjoy yourselves and go do some traveling.
TH-cam must be treating you well if you are staying in establishments that have a pancake pooper. What a fun trip, thanks for taking us along with you!
Glad you two took advantage and took an actual vacation! Colorado is absolutely beautiful! I live on the western slope in a small town called Delta and it's beautiful! Loved this episode keep up the awesomeness!!!
The Sleeperdude fam lives by those pancake machines! They try to book whatever hotel it is that has them, and they’re always so sad when they don’t work.
Love your videos wife and dog makes them even better. Traveling with my puppy is difficult but worth it. My dog basically lived in our apartment driving back to Panama City it was obvious he had to go. Pulled off the road he ran out then saw some cows. Bristled up growing until he got close turned around. Ran back to the jeep. King of apartment not king of the wild.
I love road trip videos. It's my favorite part of most of the revival videos too. The Tahoe doesn't hit the same as a clapped out Pontiac with no floors, half the brakes, questionable lights and no heat/cooling. But hitting the b roads and seeing cool stuff and mom and pop food makes for great content. Also consider Canada for a revival. It sounds far fetched but the US dollar is at big highs against the northern peso and Alberta (north of Montana) has a dry climate and no sales tax on used cars. There is a place there called "Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump" That would make great content.
Dalton, im from Tucson. When I was a little kid (late 80's early 90's) my mom would take me to the Triple T to get 8 tracks and breakfast. They had a section for used 8 tracks for old cabovers. I picked up a bunch of weird Elvis and Hank Jr/Jerry Reed type stuff for like 50 cents a cartridge. I had one of those all-in-one Sears Record/8Track/Radio stereos youd see back in the 70's.
That area (those areas) is/are beautiful and amazing! My wife and I did a 5k mile, 2 week road trip for our 24th anniversary. We rolled through all those areas. Awesome! Nine national parks, three state parks, and quite a few recreation areas. Road trips through our great nation are the best. Well done! Edit: The View Hotel provides sunset and sunrise looking over Monument Valley. A bit pricey but worth it!
This was great to watch, 6 years ago I purchased a old mustang in Colorado and did pretty much the road trip you have dome down to Tucson (we turned and carried onto Cali) great times! Thanks. keep up the great content.
Mesa verde and monument valley are in the bucket list, I hope one day I'll be able to make my way there, in the meanwhile, thank you for sharing with us
Sweet rig! I grabbed an 04 4WD Cophoe from Utah. I love that thing! Drives smooth af. Also, living in deer country, the spotlight comes in really handy
An awesome trip! Around 10:50 that motel reminded me of some that my family stayed at during vacations in the 70’s while traveling from Ontario to Manitoba through the US, the restaurant just prior to the motel was also a great reminder of those we visited. Travel in a time when life was less hurried and the journey was as much fun as the destination. Although I do remember a few times hearing ‘are we there yet?’ Glad you two could take this trip and relax and enjoy yourselves. Traveling the backroads and visiting small towns is the best. Love the channels and the content you folks are fantastic. All the best from Ontario Canada
That was awesome. Looked like a great time. If I could tell you a couple things for safety when you're out west in those areas though, put your sunglasses on the back of your head or hat and keep your eyes up for cougars(not the divorced 40 year old kind), I have to do that everyday where I live. Also, really watch your step because a lot of rattlesnakes do not rattle at all anymore. They've been rounded up or just killed so much that most of the ones that survived and reproduced didn't rattle and passed that on, so you can step right on one with no idea it was there. Can't wait to see the wild horse.
