    I have run in (break-in the wrong terminology) 5 new Enfields in India...all your advice is sound...one thing I have always done is run in the new engine in the countryside till the first 500 klm service at least and at lower speed and revs on rural roads and outside of big Indian cities in traffic and not over heating also...all those RE engines bedded in perfectly and sounded great as they aged riding long haul in India, Nepal, and Bhutan...and they always sold like hotcakes when i was finished with them and got another new one...anyway subject matter close to my heart and thx for the vid mate...I like your style Trez

    • @mookymark
      @mookymark 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would always be very mindful till 2500-3000 klms...then give 'em a big squirt on the open road on the occasion...then after second service at 5K klms I would feel more adventurous more often with the throttle riding long distance

    Scram 411 has no RPM meter, but easy speeds is what I am on. But how much time is too much time for a constant speed ? Some roads are generally long riding…
    Also traffic jam would help put the quick gear shift and other riding rpms should help engine to break inn ? What are your thoughts ?

      You can ride it, it’s not at all an issue but avoid riding with a pillion till you clock 1000km

    How long is the breaking period pro is it till 1st service or else

    • @KB-ke1nt
      @KB-ke1nt 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If your break-in period and the first service coincide then you have successfully break-in the engine.
      If not finish the company recommended kilometres before revving hard. Hope it helps😉

    Bro... Is the crash guard you fit to your Himalayan from Royal Enfield? Is that the Large crash guard or the small one?
    I've been looking for a good crash guard for my Himalayan, but couldn't find a perfect one. Zana crash guard is good, but out of stock currently and other dealers quote price higher than the price mentioned in Zana website.
    Please do let me know if the crashguard you use is good and does it help us in long drives to stretch our legs a bit?

      I’m using crash guards from Royal Enfield. It’s pretty decent, not that strong. I wouldn’t recommend it for off-roading. You could go for HDT Customs!
