Had heard in some reviews that the skid plates take a bit of beating, if they are exposed to rocky (stony) terrain with angles. Not sure if you considered changing those to ones that cover a larger area. While it will still get battered, it will be important in terms of protection on a long ride (with diversions into countryside). Bike looks wonderful and best wishes for a safe yet exciting road trip. Good content as well, keep it up.

If you add the panier boxes, you really need to relocate the indicators and taillight as they can't be seen from the side in the present location.
