Wandy is a good pull for those that like him. He can eat up any resources and scales really well with investment. Super flexible team slots compared to other main carry units. Great for exploration and has little weaknesses except abyss aoe and Anemo immune enemies. He’s a great all-rounder who will reward investment at endgame too.
As a diehard Kazuha Main, yes. GET HIM. He will genuinely make ANY content in the game easier. I was able to reach floor 4:3 of Spiral Abyss because of Kazuha. I was able to defeat Childe because of Kazuha. He’s my baby I love him so much.

Since you brought up comfort being the reason you recommended Zhongli, I would l also like to put forward another character for similar reasons: Kokomi. Yes, she is a Hydro healer not unlike Barbara, who you can get for free, but Kokomi provides an added layer of versatility thanks to her consistent off-field Hydro application along with her healing. This lets her be a dependable unit in a variety of team compositions, since Hydro is integral for many elemental reactions. While she will be outmatched in terms of raw damage because of her inability to crit, casual players can appreciate how she widens the margin for error for your entire team.

That is her main advantage as it means she doesnt need a shield to resist interupt, making dendro team comps easier and more comfortable with her on them. Also, her extra clam damage can actually make her do similar aoe damage as other hydro mains at c0
From the perspective of a day one player I think this list is pretty accurate for which characters have the most general use. Only things I feel are important to stress is that Yelan isn't someone I would prioritize super highly starting out as she is really only a sidegrade to Xingqui, and building a diverse roster early is more valuable in my opinion. I also don't rate Shogun very highly, but that I'll admit is more personal bias. I feel like you could also make an argument for Baizhu and Kokomi being great supports in a similar role to Zhongli, and they are both highly versatile elemental applicator durability supports.
Fishcl is most definitely the 4th musketeer after 3.0 but if you're not convinced then wait for 4.0, she is actually gonna turn into a second electro archon. *coughs : new artifact set,
And I was thinking, hmm new artifact set is good, but who uses elemental skill and sub dps? Damn fischl of course. Also, she was always good before dendro. One of her best features is energy gain, she was electro archon before electro archon.
i'm surprised that Fischl aka "budget Raiden" and Sucrose aka "4 star Kazuha" didn't make the cut. For me, together with "the Trinity", they make the "The Magic Five" of 4 star characters in Genshin.
I NEEEDDDDD Raiden!!! Electro is the only element I don’t have a 5* for and she would make spiral abyss so much easier. I hope she has a rerun too but I also want Focalors for my archon collection 🙈
Raiden Shogun main here. She’s incredibly fun to use and has a really weird hybrid battery support/DPS kit that I adore using. Her Electro application is also really strong and versatile with her skill, though it doesn’t work against shielded enemies like abyss mages. Far from a must-pull, but very fun and very strong.
i recently got Raiden as a new player (just unlocked inazuma) BUT SHE IMPROVED MY TEAM A TON.. i didn't had any good electro units so her addition with xinqiu and xiangling is GOOOOD .. i am now hoping to get nahida and bennet
Great list. I agree that supports and off-field characters are the best in the game because that fit teams, instead you needing to fit a team around them. Your list captures that quite well. I agree with all your picks. I would add that 1) Sucrose is the 4* Kazuha, and 2) Fischl is the consolation prize for Raiden Shogun. I would take 3) Kokomi over Yelan, since you already have Xingqiu.
Pulling Raiden made my playthrough a ton easier. Then Nahida made it even more so. Top it with Kazuha, now that's a breeze. Only gets better when I pulled Kokomi. Going for Zhongli next, as I want all the Archons first, so will have to skip Yelan this time around.
I agree with the list of characters that is a must in Genshin and I all have them. But recently I've been using Tighnari a lot. He's pretty good too. Now I'm waiting for Yelan's rerun T w T
I'd also want to add Fischl and Sucrose as 4stars that are worth getting an honorable mention as must-pulls. Fischl opens up Aggrevate teams to crazy heights, and Sucrose is comparable to Kazuha in power (better than him in Taser, in Dendro related teams because of EM buff, and in situations where you need Guoba Swirl; Kazuha does better in Freeze and Mono-element teams). Those people who aren't using her are really missing out. I'd argue the most important 4stars in order are Bennett, Xingqiu, Sucrose, Xiangling, Kuki, Fischl.
5 star characters that people need to have: -Nahida (Many variations for damage, collecting item and she need more ❤ as should be) -Kazuha (great anemo character for great amount of enemies) -Yelan (because she is strong bow character, and people also need bow character because when we fighting boss that literally dodge wherenever we come close to them, good for explore) -Zhongli (for shield) -Raiden or Hutao (for strong polearm character to do one big shot KO to opponent) Thats it.
Another recommendation I personally prefer over Zhongli is Kokomi. She won't ruin any of your elemental reactions as she's Hydro and is much better and more versatile in basically every team except Wanderer Hypercarry and Hu Tao Double Hydro. But if you're rly struggling with surviving and not damage in the abyss then I definitely recommend getting both of them. And you also rly want 5 star dps's the as 4 star ones aren't that good. My personal recommendations are AlHaitham, Ayaka and Bu Tao(if you have Xingqiu or Yelan. Best if both)
@@angel-zj8kp Really valuable if you have dps units that doesn't like to get interrupted, like Yoimiya, Wanderer, Hu Tao, etc. Of course there's alternative shielders but none can match the sense of comfort and safety that Zhongli's shield provides.
Why do people still use usage rates for abyss to prove a point about a characters strength when the values are highly biased and skewed towards limited and newly released characters?
@@_dakithey are both flexible characters since they are hydro but it depends if you need more dps or healing and what teams you want to try out. Yelan is my first five star and i never regretted it. Her skill is great for exploration and very satisfying to use. Double hydro hyperbloom makes the game way easier as a ftp.
I just missed Kazuha because I was playing TOTK for like a month or two and didn’t have enough primos. I wanted Yanfei so bad, but even after spending all my earned primos, I just kept getting duplicates of the other 4 stars I already had. Anyway with the new region release and the level maps making it easier to explore I have like 95 fates. I’ve had Yelan since my first big banner in the beginning of the year and so she’s on almost every team I make. Highly recommend. Now I’m just waiting for Zhongli. I really hope they run Kazuha again. But I’m also really interested in Neuveillte. Edit: My main team is usually Dendro Traveler, Yelan, Kuki, and either Bennett or now Wanderer. (All lvl 90 now cept for wanderer at 80.)
Something to note: Bennett, Xingqiu and Xiangling are the most mentioned 4-stars, but Sucrose and Fischl are also 2 incredible characters that less experienced players almost always fail to mention. You might say that Sucrose is just worse Kazuha, but her value doesnt suddenly take a back seat because of Kazuha’s existence. She’s still one of the strongest characters. Edit: Zhongli is a good unit for new players, but he becomes less useful as you get better at the game. Pull him if you like him, but you’ll want to switch him out eventually.
@@spellcheck5393 She can't group bigger enemies. I can only say her main work is to apply elements. Like she is incrdible powerfull in teams like National, Hyperbloom and Sukokomon. It is just she is insanely powerfull for me. I can easily complete abyss with those mention teams.
Sadly for Sucrose I've tried her, and even if you can gain technically + 250 EM with her, It requires so much effort compared to Kazuha, in the Abyss, you'll actually end up losing DPS cuz of the complexity compared to Kazuha.
9:19 this is exactly what I tell my friends. Imagine a husbando and/or waifu you can actually use and have fun because he/she is strong. Additionally, having strong teams are good because you can beat the spiral abyss. The more consistent you are 36 star-ing spiral abyss, the more primogems you get. The more primogems you get, the more you can pull for your waifus and/or husbandos. It's a win-win.
In my case I don't pull for meta or whatever but for the character that I like and the ones with the best playstyle for me (note how I only have one 1 bow character 5 star, on 17 including the traveler, and it's Venti because I like him and he is an archon) like everything but bow or claymore (too slow for me). So indeed I got Zhongli because I wanted a strong shield and I'm shit at dodging but I got all the others on the list of must have except Raiden (because when her banner is here I have other priorities or I don't have enough primo) or Yelan because I like them, not because they are strong.
Finally, I have all these characters now after pulling Kazuha this rerun. Now I'll go for wanderer for exploration since he is the best in that department
I used to regret pulling for kazuha back in 2.7 because i wanted a hu tao when i was new to the game, but afterwards knowing what he is capable of, i regret that i regret pulling for him lol
Kazuha C2, Yelan C1, Zhongli C0 (but all skills on 10), Baizhu C0, Raiden C0. This is the core crew on my account. Will get Nahida this patch and I am done with pulling for a looong time
Every archon reruns once per version update and if there is a new archon their first rerun will be 4 updates after their first ever banner. For example raiden came out in 2.1 her first rerun was in 2.5 same goes with the other archons
Zhongli is a really good pick in the early phase but as you go on, there will be a need of good healers.. I really wanted kokomi because hydro is a really flexible element unlike geo. But as an f2p and casual player i need to save for characters that i like. Got furina now saving for natlan's archon..
Great video! Meta stuff isn't for me I really just pull whoever I like and that's that. Right now I run Yae Miko as off field main DPS Wanderer as an on field sub DPS Baizhu as a healer / Dendro reaction buffer Mona (soon to be Furina) as a sub-sub dps just bc it's fun! Not conventional but it works for me. I have C3 xingqui and a C1 Bennett i've never levelled because they bore me. It's also worth noting I don't do Abyss nor do I ever plan too. Once I have Furina I doubt i'll be pulling any new characters and just getting my current team their cons. If you're wanting to complete Abyss, you wanna follow Meta 100% ❤️
I got all the characters on his list except Yelan. Now just need time and effort to build them somewhat properly. BTW: The smiles with teeth in the thumbnail kind of creeped me out.
These same characters I have. Nahida, Yelan, and Kazuha, the only character I have that is very niche is Nilou but for Fontaine I’m hoping for Raiden’s rerun to kick Focalor’s butt
The only two characters that I think are close to being a must pull in this game are Nahida and Kazuha. Nahida will make any Dendro, Electro, Pyro and Hydro team a lot stronger. Kazuha will make any Electro, Pyro, Hydro and Cryo team a lot stronger. Once you have these two characters it doesn't matter who you use as your other characters because Nahida and Kazuha will buff them up and make them as good as any other unit in the game. I wouldn't even consider Yelan, Zhongli, and Raiden a must pull because these characters can be easily replaced by other 5 or 4 stars. Yelan can be replaced with xingqui, Raiden can be replaced with fischl, and zhongli can be replaced with any shielder. Even Kazuha can be replaced with sucrose but she only has an elemental mastery buff so she sometimes is better or worse than kazuha depending on the team.
Dendro team will probably be good at one side or both sides of the abyss so you can run Nahida who is essentially Kazuha for dendro teams on one half & a Kazuha team on second half, it's like having two kazuhas lmao.
I would say for 4*: Xingqiu, Xiangling, Bennett, Fischl and maybe Sucrose. 5*: support/dmg: Kazuha, Yelan, Nahida comfort: Kokomi/Zhongli/Baizhu Play dps easy mode: Raiden/Alhaitham (Raiden it's a support... but to use her "battery" mode she have to take a lot of time on-field, like other dps characters)
@@jiroo.0 Well I have a rlly good Childe and Xiangling built and I like him a lot and he carrys almost every AOE side in abyss since 1.3, I recommend. I don't have Raiden, but I do the abyss for my friend that have both, but my friend have character with a lot less invested artifacts than me. I feel that Childe it's better with a better artifacts, but at low investment I fell that Raiden National was better, and it's a lot easier to use. My complain it's Overload can be annoying sometimes and the straightforward gameplay that Raiden have can make bored of her faster, but at the same time you might not like having to control how long the Childe's skill is active. One bonus it's that the Childe variation can free your Xingqiu/Yelan for other teams. While waiting for their rerun I recommend the National version with Sucrose in place of Raiden for your second team, it's a great team and easy to use.

If possible 'll try pull for Raiden in Fontaine too, I already tired of using Fischl with my Yae Aggravate team, the variation with Yae - Raiden - Baizhu - Kazuha seems lot more fun to play. But the Hydro archon, Nilou, and Arlecchino are my priority.

I really liked your video. I noticed that on gatcha games, there is no room for "what you like", but only for what you can use to farm free currency, as a F2P, of course. I've been playing the game on this "I'll build what I like, nothing more" but it's not enough to full star abyss; most characters I like have no synergies, since most of them are anemo boys and a mono anemo team have no place is this game. I love the doggy general, mas he only works with the unit I hate most, Itto. I decided to surrender to a bit of the meta and boy... It's a whole different game, unfortunatly. And it's way fun to see things explode with zero effort. It's horrible to farm dominions where you take about 5min each run, on 170+ ping, trying to get at least decent artifacts on F2P teams with only waifus or husbandos that have zero synergy. I didn't make this mistake on Honkai Star Rail. I'm getting at least one copy of all 5* and building teams with only 5*. In Genshin they are already realeasing 5* that will replace the old OP 4*, like Yelan on Xinquiu. Even Benett is not a MUST anymore. Sad is life.
I also also like anemo boys and i have pulled all of them (got kazuha recently) and i also agree that its hard when ur fav characters have no synergies. But i think u should pull for the characters u like because i got ganyu for the meta and i don't even use her now.
how yelan did powercrept xq? He gives some heal and dmg reduction even his hydro application is better than her. She give mobility and dmg buff but the 50% dmg buff will not last for like 1 second since the dmg get higher every second u will get slightly dmg increases for your main dmg dealer plus it doesnt buff hyberbloom, bloom and burgeon
Just pointing out that we are currently in Sumeru and thus Abyss is design for Nahida, just like how it was for other archons in other region. We are leaving Sumeru now. Get Kazuha first, Archon reruns are quite often so u can always get them. Get the other archons as soon as you can Zhongli >= Raiden >> Venti. Then wait for 4.0 and see what dirty tricks Mihoyo has installed.
I pull characters base on their appearance and playstyle.. coincidentally, those that fit my preferences are zhongli, raiden, kokomi, nahida and kazuha. I got them.
Not mentioning sucrose and fischl is a CRIME in the 4 star portion. I never understood why people would say the strongest 4 stars are from 1.0 and not mention some of the strongest 4 stars who are also part of 1.0
I disagree with your assessment on Kuki Vis à Vis Xiangling. Kuki is better for beginners exactly because dendro-core reactios only utilize EM, while national teams wants ER, EM, and Crit. Kuki hyperbloom with some make-shift EM artifacts from random sets is far more adequate than Xiangling with that same level of investment. Furthermore, Kuki reaches her true potential at c2 already instead of Xiangling c4. She is also a healer, which beginners will appreciate esecially.
It's actually easier for begginers to build Xiangling than Kuki. Xiangling can settle with Atk% on Circlet and Goblet, as long as she has enough ER from Sands and substats. While Kuki need EM on Sands, Goblet, and Circlet which is a lot harder to farm.
I got the 5 stars units S+ by pure luck 😭 nahida was a 50/50 win (my only 50/50 I won) and kazhua was a really really early bc I lost 50/50 on is banner but then 6 wishs later got him
Agree 100% of what you said, i would also mention Fischl and Beidou. These two are powerhouses with stupidly high scallings. Overall, there is nothing else, good video.
One of the mistakes I made was pulling only for supports. Apart from Yelan, whom I consider a sub-dps, the other 5-star limited characters I have are Nahida, Kokomi, Furina. I can't really do any big damage with them and I don't have a 5 star main dps. I'm using Yanfei rn (AR 50 with enough exp to be AR 55)
Supports alone can deal lots of damage if you build them right. And you were absolutely right pulling for supports at first, a main dps without supports is a bread without butter
While meta, I kinda dislike Yelan. She was my first ever limited banner character, and she's really strong. So strong, that she blows any other character that I tried building. She didn't need a main dps to support, because all other units I had were 4*s that dealt nowhere near her damage. I kinda wish I pulled for xiao instead, I feel gimped whenever I play anyone that's not yelan.

Id add ganyu. In my opinion she should be m,entioned first in each video of this kind. She was irreplaceable in many situations, mostly events and I have no idea how ppl were doing it without her
Agreed. Although I'm admittedly a little biased because I'm a Ganyu main on a couple of my teams. She's my ranged character for exploration as well. She's just an absolutely terrifying sniper from a long way away, and kills multiple enemies with one well placed shot.
bruh in the early days when i got ganyu i didnt really like her playstyle and had her benched for 6 months, i cleared everything pretty easily and after i finally invested in her Nothing changed. People do pretty fine without her . The ugly truth is that she is way too replaceable and also can you tell a single scenario where she felt irreplaceable.
I didnt say it was hard without her to clear out the content. I said she was very useful in some situations like the osial event. And no, it wasn impossible without her, it was just much easier
I started in 1.6 at klee banner. I got kazuha on first 10 pull of my acc. I played till 2.2 but stopped playing. Till 4.1 5 days ago. So I lost a loot of contents. I have kazuha, raiden, ayaka,( all from first banner), hutao. My last 5 star.
Definitely true about supports But this solidifies my akining Archons to Honkai 3rd's Herrschers in how they shape the meta when they come out. But I have to ask what endgame is there other than Abyss?
@@98-carlmarkmarak22 Fischl used to be op as a funneller, "Turbo Fischl" they called her but with Favonius weapons and same-element funnellers, she became less of a must-build than Kuki whose skill is more electro-application consistent. Also Xiangling is the best off-field pyro character, so building her early would enable national comps. And healer-main dps Barbara is the most popular early beginner carries surprisingly enough
When building I also recommend focusing on Levelling/Ascending>Talents>Artifacts, since world levels are very restrictive and electro cube could possibly be hard; I agree that building them all together is healthy for beginners But when we're referencing beginners who haven't swiped cards, and Barbara who's the most likely one to carry them; it's very confusing and possibly unrecommended
Me who got sucrose and xingqiu both in first 10 pull only to not use them for a good 5 levels lol. Then when i actually used them did id find out how cacked they were. Made my low ar game sm easier
I bought a zhongli raiden reroll account for like 6 bucks and then roll for kazuha and oh boi, after 1 to 2 months of playing the game, i soloed abyss floor 10-11 with kazuha and 3 other random elements to swirl. The other side i used raiden and zhongli to delete everything
that 4 star (bannet, xq, xiangling, and honorary mention : fischl) Very dependent on their constellation. If ur 4 star is C0 just throw them out the window pull for other character... they're shit at c0 and u need more pull for their c6. If u lucky u will get their C6 in 70 pull if ur not, it can be more expensive than 5* character. Don't focus on getting them just focus on the limited banner that have them on it
Kazuha Nahida and Ayato. Ayato especially if you play on mobile like i do. No need to aim, no fancy gimmicks or stack mechanics etc and most dmg coming out of E with a short CD. Also flexible in so many comps cause he is hydro and works well in both single target and AoE.
Hu tao was a want and then nuevillete was an accident (same banner phase) I went Raiden -> Yelan -> Hu Tao -> Nuevillete -> Nahida. (Lost 50/50 before Hu Tao, won 50/50 on current banner)

Zhongli's elemental (and physical) shred from his shields shouldn't be underestimated. You just have to pair him with a hypercarry and some sub-dps's and you are good to go.
Someone might not agree, but after Nahida must pull Yae Miko, they both together can clear abyss without other characters. Also, in the open world, Yae Miko can hit anything. And no, I'm almost never use Zhongli because I'm able to dodge everything

Kokomi is an actual goddess in bloom teams and especially nilou bloom. Her burst is the perfect ability for driving nilous cores

Only things I feel are important to stress is that Yelan isn't someone I would prioritize super highly starting out as she is really only a sidegrade to Xingqui, and building a diverse roster early is more valuable in my opinion. I also don't rate Shogun very highly, but that I'll admit is more personal bias. I feel like you could also make an argument for Baizhu and Kokomi being great supports in a similar role to Zhongli, and they are both highly versatile elemental applicator durability supports.

I prefer to pull for characters I like the playstyle of, but a different mindset to the game will definitely make me better.
Fishcl is most definitely the 4th musketeer after 3.0 but if you're not convinced then wait for 4.0, she is actually gonna turn into a second electro archon.

My top 3 for different reasons would happen to be Wanderer for mobility, Zhongli for survivability, and Kazuha for pure elemental support.
Kazuha is a life saver, i've been using Razor as my main before but everything changed after i got Kazuha.
i'm surprised that Fischl aka "budget Raiden" and Sucrose aka "4 star Kazuha" didn't make the cut. For me, together with "the Trinity", they make the "The Magic Five" of 4 star characters in Genshin.

Raiden Shogun main here. She’s incredibly fun to use and has a really weird hybrid battery support/DPS kit that I adore using. Her Electro application is also really strong and versatile with her skill, though it doesn’t work against shielded enemies like abyss mages. Far from a must-pull, but very fun and very strong.

Great list. I agree that supports and off-field characters are the best in the game because that fit teams, instead you needing to fit a team around them. Your list captures that quite well. I agree with all your picks. I would add that 1) Sucrose is the 4* Kazuha, and 2) Fischl is the consolation prize for Raiden Shogun. I would take 3) Kokomi over Yelan, since you already have Xingqiu.
Pulling Raiden made my playthrough a ton easier. Then Nahida made it even more so. Top it with Kazuha, now that's a breeze. Only gets better when I pulled Kokomi. Going for Zhongli next, as I want all the Archons first, so will have to skip Yelan this time around.

I agree with the list of characters that is a must in Genshin and I all have them. But recently I've been using Tighnari a lot. He's pretty good too. Now I'm waiting for Yelan's rerun T w T
I'd also want to add Fischl and Sucrose as 4stars that are worth getting an honorable mention as must-pulls. Fischl opens up Aggrevate teams to crazy heights, and Sucrose is comparable to Kazuha in power (better than him in Taser, in Dendro related teams because of EM buff, and in situations where you need Guoba Swirl; Kazuha does better in Freeze and Mono-element teams). Those people who aren't using her are really missing out.
I'd argue the most important 4stars in order are Bennett, Xingqiu, Sucrose, Xiangling, Kuki, Fischl.
I would add beidou too :D
5 star characters that people need to have:
-Nahida (Many variations for damage, collecting item and she need more ❤ as should be)
-Kazuha (great anemo character for great amount of enemies)
-Yelan (because she is strong bow character, and people also need bow character because when we fighting boss that literally dodge wherenever we come close to them, good for explore)
-Zhongli (for shield)
-Raiden or Hutao (for strong polearm character to do one big shot KO to opponent)
Thats it.
Another recommendation I personally prefer over Zhongli is Kokomi. She won't ruin any of your elemental reactions as she's Hydro and is much better and more versatile in basically every team except Wanderer Hypercarry and Hu Tao Double Hydro. But if you're rly struggling with surviving and not damage in the abyss then I definitely recommend getting both of them.
And you also rly want 5 star dps's the as 4 star ones aren't that good.
My personal recommendations are AlHaitham, Ayaka and Bu Tao(if you have Xingqiu or Yelan. Best if both)

Hutao team doesn't survive without zhongli 😅 Her high risk high DMG style gameplay demands a super strong shield to protect the glass cannon she is.
@@angel-zj8kp Really valuable if you have dps units that doesn't like to get interrupted, like Yoimiya, Wanderer, Hu Tao, etc. Of course there's alternative shielders but none can match the sense of comfort and safety that Zhongli's shield provides.

@@_dakithey are both flexible characters since they are hydro but it depends if you need more dps or healing and what teams you want to try out. Yelan is my first five star and i never regretted it. Her skill is great for exploration and very satisfying to use. Double hydro hyperbloom makes the game way easier as a ftp.

I just missed Kazuha because I was playing TOTK for like a month or two and didn’t have enough primos. I wanted Yanfei so bad, but even after spending all my earned primos, I just kept getting duplicates of the other 4 stars I already had. Anyway with the new region release and the level maps making it easier to explore I have like 95 fates.
I’ve had Yelan since my first big banner in the beginning of the year and so she’s on almost every team I make. Highly recommend.
Now I’m just waiting for Zhongli. I really hope they run Kazuha again. But I’m also really interested in Neuveillte.
Edit: My main team is usually Dendro Traveler, Yelan, Kuki, and either Bennett or now Wanderer. (All lvl 90 now cept for wanderer at 80.)
Something to note: Bennett, Xingqiu and Xiangling are the most mentioned 4-stars, but Sucrose and Fischl are also 2 incredible characters that less experienced players almost always fail to mention. You might say that Sucrose is just worse Kazuha, but her value doesnt suddenly take a back seat because of Kazuha’s existence. She’s still one of the strongest characters.
Edit: Zhongli is a good unit for new players, but he becomes less useful as you get better at the game. Pull him if you like him, but you’ll want to switch him out eventually.
Sucrose idk I find hr useless. I built her to l90 and gave all artifact's. She doesn't group :(
@@spellcheck5393 She can't group bigger enemies. I can only say her main work is to apply elements. Like she is incrdible powerfull in teams like National, Hyperbloom and Sukokomon. It is just she is insanely powerfull for me. I can easily complete abyss with those mention teams.
Sadly for Sucrose I've tried her, and even if you can gain technically + 250 EM with her, It requires so much effort
compared to Kazuha, in the Abyss, you'll actually end up losing DPS cuz of the complexity compared to Kazuha.

9:19 this is exactly what I tell my friends. Imagine a husbando and/or waifu you can actually use and have fun because he/she is strong.
Additionally, having strong teams are good because you can beat the spiral abyss. The more consistent you are 36 star-ing spiral abyss, the more primogems you get. The more primogems you get, the more you can pull for your waifus and/or husbandos. It's a win-win.
In my case I don't pull for meta or whatever but for the character that I like and the ones with the best playstyle for me (note how I only have one 1 bow character 5 star, on 17 including the traveler, and it's Venti because I like him and he is an archon) like everything but bow or claymore (too slow for me). So indeed I got Zhongli because I wanted a strong shield and I'm shit at dodging but I got all the others on the list of must have except Raiden (because when her banner is here I have other priorities or I don't have enough primo) or Yelan because I like them, not because they are strong.
Finally, I have all these characters now after pulling Kazuha this rerun. Now I'll go for wanderer for exploration since he is the best in that department

Every archon reruns once per version update and if there is a new archon their first rerun will be 4 updates after their first ever banner. For example raiden came out in 2.1 her first rerun was in 2.5 same goes with the other archons
Zhongli is a really good pick in the early phase but as you go on, there will be a need of good healers..
I really wanted kokomi because hydro is a really flexible element unlike geo.
But as an f2p and casual player i need to save for characters that i like.

Not conventional but it works for me. I have C3 xingqui and a C1 Bennett i've never levelled because they bore me.
It's also worth noting I don't do Abyss nor do I ever plan too. Once I have Furina I doubt i'll be pulling any new characters and just getting my current team their cons. If you're wanting to complete Abyss, you wanna follow Meta 100% ❤️
I got all the characters on his list except Yelan. Now just need time and effort to build them somewhat properly.

These same characters I have. Nahida, Yelan, and Kazuha, the only character I have that is very niche is Nilou but for Fontaine I’m hoping for Raiden’s rerun to kick Focalor’s butt
The only two characters that I think are close to being a must pull in this game are Nahida and Kazuha. Nahida will make any Dendro, Electro, Pyro and Hydro team a lot stronger. Kazuha will make any Electro, Pyro, Hydro and Cryo team a lot stronger. Once you have these two characters it doesn't matter who you use as your other characters because Nahida and Kazuha will buff them up and make them as good as any other unit in the game. I wouldn't even consider Yelan, Zhongli, and Raiden a must pull because these characters can be easily replaced by other 5 or 4 stars. Yelan can be replaced with xingqui, Raiden can be replaced with fischl, and zhongli can be replaced with any shielder. Even Kazuha can be replaced with sucrose but she only has an elemental mastery buff so she sometimes is better or worse than kazuha depending on the team.
True nahida brings dendro teams to another level
Dendro team will probably be good at one side or both sides of the abyss so you can run Nahida who is essentially Kazuha for dendro teams on one half & a Kazuha team on second half, it's like having two kazuhas lmao.
Imo, get whatever character you like. A team eventually form

@@jiroo.0 Well I have a rlly good Childe and Xiangling built and I like him a lot and he carrys almost every AOE side in abyss since 1.3, I recommend.
I don't have Raiden, but I do the abyss for my friend that have both, but my friend have character with a lot less invested artifacts than me. I feel that Childe it's better with a better artifacts, but at low investment I fell that Raiden National was better, and it's a lot easier to use.
My complain it's Overload can be annoying sometimes and the straightforward gameplay that Raiden have can make bored of her faster, but at the same time you might not like having to control how long the Childe's skill is active.
One bonus it's that the Childe variation can free your Xingqiu/Yelan for other teams.
While waiting for their rerun I recommend the National version with Sucrose in place of Raiden for your second team, it's a great team and easy to use.

I noticed that on gatcha games, there is no room for "what you like", but only for what you can use to farm free currency, as a F2P, of course. I've been playing the game on this "I'll build what I like, nothing more" but it's not enough to full star abyss; most characters I like have no synergies, since most of them are anemo boys and a mono anemo team have no place is this game. I love the doggy general, mas he only works with the unit I hate most, Itto.
I decided to surrender to a bit of the meta and boy... It's a whole different game, unfortunatly. And it's way fun to see things explode with zero effort. It's horrible to farm dominions where you take about 5min each run, on 170+ ping, trying to get at least decent artifacts on F2P teams with only waifus or husbandos that have zero synergy.
I didn't make this mistake on Honkai Star Rail. I'm getting at least one copy of all 5* and building teams with only 5*. In Genshin they are already realeasing 5* that will replace the old OP 4*, like Yelan on Xinquiu. Even Benett is not a MUST anymore.

I also also like anemo boys and i have pulled all of them (got kazuha recently) and i also agree that its hard when ur fav characters have no synergies. But i think u should pull for the characters u like because i got ganyu for the meta and i don't even use her now.
how yelan did powercrept xq? He gives some heal and dmg reduction even his hydro application is better than her. She give mobility and dmg buff but the 50% dmg buff will not last for like 1 second since the dmg get higher every second u will get slightly dmg increases for your main dmg dealer plus it doesnt buff hyberbloom, bloom and burgeon

Just pointing out that we are currently in Sumeru and thus Abyss is design for Nahida, just like how it was for other archons in other region. We are leaving Sumeru now. Get Kazuha first, Archon reruns are quite often so u can always get them. Get the other archons as soon as you can Zhongli >= Raiden >> Venti. Then wait for 4.0 and see what dirty tricks Mihoyo has installed.
I pull characters base on their appearance and playstyle.. coincidentally, those that fit my preferences are zhongli, raiden, kokomi, nahida and kazuha. I got them.

I disagree with your assessment on Kuki Vis à Vis Xiangling. Kuki is better for beginners exactly because dendro-core reactios only utilize EM, while national teams wants ER, EM, and Crit. Kuki hyperbloom with some make-shift EM artifacts from random sets is far more adequate than Xiangling with that same level of investment. Furthermore, Kuki reaches her true potential at c2 already instead of Xiangling c4. She is also a healer, which beginners will appreciate esecially.
It's actually easier for begginers to build Xiangling than Kuki. Xiangling can settle with Atk% on Circlet and Goblet, as long as she has enough ER from Sands and substats. While Kuki need EM on Sands, Goblet, and Circlet which is a lot harder to farm.
I got the 5 stars units S+ by pure luck 😭 nahida was a 50/50 win (my only 50/50 I won) and kazhua was a really really early bc I lost 50/50 on is banner but then 6 wishs later got him
Agree 100% of what you said, i would also mention Fischl and Beidou. These two are powerhouses with stupidly high scallings. Overall, there is nothing else, good video.

One of the mistakes I made was pulling only for supports. Apart from Yelan, whom I consider a sub-dps, the other 5-star limited characters I have are Nahida, Kokomi, Furina. I can't really do any big damage with them and I don't have a 5 star main dps. I'm using Yanfei rn (AR 50 with enough exp to be AR 55)
You just need Hyperbloom and National team to 36 star abyss bro. But next patch Raiden Shogun will show up.
Supports alone can deal lots of damage if you build them right. And you were absolutely right pulling for supports at first, a main dps without supports is a bread without butter

While meta, I kinda dislike Yelan. She was my first ever limited banner character, and she's really strong. So strong, that she blows any other character that I tried building. She didn't need a main dps to support, because all other units I had were 4*s that dealt nowhere near her damage.
I kinda wish I pulled for xiao instead, I feel gimped whenever I play anyone that's not yelan.

Id add ganyu. In my opinion she should be m,entioned first in each video of this kind. She was irreplaceable in many situations, mostly events and I have no idea how ppl were doing it without her
Agreed. Although I'm admittedly a little biased because I'm a Ganyu main on a couple of my teams. She's my ranged character for exploration as well. She's just an absolutely terrifying sniper from a long way away, and kills multiple enemies with one well placed shot.
As someone who has never used a cryo dps in abyss and has played from week one, it hasn't been very hard. Husbandos carry me every abyss.
bruh in the early days when i got ganyu i didnt really like her playstyle and had her benched for 6 months, i cleared everything pretty easily and after i finally invested in her
Nothing changed. People do pretty fine without her . The ugly truth is that she is way too replaceable and also can you tell a single scenario where she felt irreplaceable.
I didnt say it was hard without her to clear out the content. I said she was very useful in some situations like the osial event. And no, it wasn impossible without her, it was just much easier

@@98-carlmarkmarak22 Fischl used to be op as a funneller, "Turbo Fischl" they called her but with Favonius weapons and same-element funnellers, she became less of a must-build than Kuki whose skill is more electro-application consistent.
Also Xiangling is the best off-field pyro character, so building her early would enable national comps. And healer-main dps Barbara is the most popular early beginner carries surprisingly enough
When building I also recommend focusing on Levelling/Ascending>Talents>Artifacts, since world levels are very restrictive and electro cube could possibly be hard; I agree that building them all together is healthy for beginners
But when we're referencing beginners who haven't swiped cards, and Barbara who's the most likely one to carry them; it's very confusing and possibly unrecommended

u cant really compare usage rates of 4 stars to 5 stars, since most ppl only pull for 5 stars if they really want them, but 4 stars just show up
I bought a zhongli raiden reroll account for like 6 bucks and then roll for kazuha and oh boi, after 1 to 2 months of playing the game, i soloed abyss floor 10-11 with kazuha and 3 other random elements to swirl. The other side i used raiden and zhongli to delete everything
I know Nahida is strong but, I just don't like her design and burst, I think I'll be able to survive abyss without her

that 4 star (bannet, xq, xiangling, and honorary mention : fischl) Very dependent on their constellation. If ur 4 star is C0 just throw them out the window pull for other character... they're shit at c0 and u need more pull for their c6. If u lucky u will get their C6 in 70 pull if ur not, it can be more expensive than 5* character. Don't focus on getting them just focus on the limited banner that have them on it

Zhibgli and kazuaha is i guess the best 5 star to have at first
Kazuha Nahida and Ayato. Ayato especially if you play on mobile like i do. No need to aim, no fancy gimmicks or stack mechanics etc and most dmg coming out of E with a short CD. Also flexible in so many comps cause he is hydro and works well in both single target and AoE.
Also Yoimiya, she's easy to play on mobile plus she's cute too :)

These characters changed my whole experience in genshin
Hu tao was a want and then nuevillete was an accident (same banner phase)
I went Raiden -> Yelan -> Hu Tao -> Nuevillete -> Nahida. (Lost 50/50 before Hu Tao, won 50/50 on current banner)
Nice video man! I just started this game 2 days ago. Im super newbie but used to play all kind off MMORPG'S . I just fiund out that there is banner to pull character from. Yes that fresh i am 😅. That leads me to my question. Its an Event right now, And I got 12 houers to pick one. Witch one would you choose ? All advice are most welcomed! For sure a thumbs up and Subscribed! Great video!
Zhongli's elemental (and physical) shred from his shields shouldn't be underestimated. You just have to pair him with a hypercarry and some sub-dps's and you are good to go.

Someone might not agree, but after Nahida must pull Yae Miko, they both together can clear abyss without other characters.
Also, in the open world, Yae Miko can hit anything.
And no, I'm almost never use Zhongli because I'm able to dodge everything
