► If I made a new account today, what characters would I pull for based on how strong they are in the meta, how versatile they can be on different team comps with different characters, and just how much fun they are to play! I give you my top 5 characters that I would spend my primogems on, some honorable mentions and more advice! Since I'm making a brand new Genshin Account right now doing a crazy challenge it really made me think a vid like this would be helpful for beginners and vets alike :)

@@ganeshmarshall8813No, it's because they are butthurt over not seeing Furina and Neuv on the list as if they're mandatory. The reasons he gave are perfectly clear. It's cool to disagree with him and explain the flaws of his logic, but it's not cool to throw a hissy fit over it. It's an easy game with no meaningful endgame content besides the Abyss, lmao. Not worth the effort.

@@tabuukiller13 She carried me through inazuma, sumeru and Fontaine, I started genshin August last year, ended up getting c1 hutao trying to get xingqui lmao and furina afterwards but anyways furina did 101k on a single strike in the abyss recently, she feels pretty solid with any DPS/sub dps character even 4* with furina& jean as the core

She is great but under the confinement of this video, she can't perform well on her own without a supporting character on the team. So the Eakes is right not to mention her since this video is for absolutely new players looking to 36 star the abyss who most likely won't have a dedicated healer on the team.

@@masterchief2.086 raiden is still a great pick 👌 and yes covers a lot of bases. Her best team at c0 being a hyperbloom driver with full em is just kinda what pulls her down a bit for value, since kuki exists. But obviously rational, raiden hypercarry, etc still great versatility.

If you're a new player, i would not recommend pulling furina,
But you should pull for neuvillete, he doesn't need a team and can solo abyss, easy to build and so on..

Furina as a beginner is great and as not a beginner too. You get a free Barbara which she heals a lot with her burst and skill, to maximize the Fanfare if you didn’t already have your party members HP drained to 50% in her Ousia form with her skill activated, which you switch to Pneuma and she heals the on-field character to get her fanfare up. The only thing you’re missing out on if you don’t use a healer with Furina is her skill not dealing damage while she is healing. Additionally her skill does a lot of damage in Ousia by draining party members HP to deal 110%-140% increased damage for the Salon Members. Overall she does great damage, has versatility, and provides a great damage buff, and even if considering exploration too, she can walk on water unlimitedly, pulling Neuvillette over Furina is fine, but Furina is another game changer that you should have on your account and it’s great to have her early in the game to get as much out of her for a journey up Adventure Ranks.
@@BellPepper-fh4to furina is one of the best, yes. But, as a beginner who doesn't even have that good of a team, gets wrecked by ruin guards, always in trouble, you want someone that drains hp? There are other better pulls as a beginner like nahida, kazuha, yelan, neuvillete. But, as an end game player, having a furina is kind of like a must. And as a beginner you want someone that does dmg, not heal using other skills. So, i think getting her after reaching ar 45 will be better. Heck the best character for early players is venti, but i will not recommend him as he becomes kind of useless later on, so just go for kazuha instead.
For Neuvillette he would need a proper shield too unless he goes for C1, this dude in the video is talking about a character on its on C0 that he would create a team with and none of them were shield meaning neuvillette can't be in it in the first place he event put hutao in honorary mentions Cuz her c0 uses stamina, neuvillette keeps getting spanked all over the places so u need a proper shield if u don't have cons and then let's say u went for zhongli and neuvillette then what about fighting hydro enemies and bosses within abyss

Great list but I would swap Nahida with Alhaitham, solely because she can do both On field and Off field very well, while Alhaitham can only be on field, so I feel for a new account nahida would be better

Yes he plays a game that easy to beat with virtually very little endgame content so he went for characters that are strong, versatile, and fun to play. Y'all tryhards play a nonexistent meta that doesn't even matter...to beat an easy game with no endgame besides Abyss 🤡🤡

No. Furina is great, op even, but she's also useless on a beginner account. If you don't have the characters capable of healing your whole team and some well built DPS, Furina won't be playable. As a beginner, you want a character that can carry you, then the support, and in Furina's case, Furina's support healer.
started playing about 6 months ago for the hu tao banner, cant wait for the kazuha rerun next patch and hoping for a yelan or kokomi rerun to have more versatile hydro applicator options
gotta say though if i had to pick someone im not sure if i can play the game without furina anymore shes too useful for exploration alone with the walking on water ability and clears overworld like it's nothing. she hasnt left my teams since ive built her
I don’t think you should pull kokomi
imo kokomi is a garbage pull as a support unless you play ayaka or nilou. You can play her as a dps with furina, so if you have furina and want a dps, kokomi is fine.
Kokomi was my first limited 5 star back in 3.8 and I deeply regret her
@@polychromaa It is funny how we are very similar yet very different. Kokomi is also my first limited five star and I pulled her on 3.8 banner too, but I don’t regret pulling for her and would probably never regret. She carries me from signora’s fight until now, never leave my team in both exploration and spiral abyss. The only bad thing that I could find about her, is that you are unable to see huge damage with her unless you put high investment into critkomi, but apart of that, literally nothing bad about her in my account. She works well on field or off field, and I always enjoy playing her in every teams I use (taser, hyperbloom, or even the oonga boonga ones). But yeah of course people have different preference and experience, so I will not try to change your opinion.

@@polychromaa kokomi is not even worth to play with nilou, yaoyao and xingqiu are better options for sure, i pulled for her in 3.0 and i don't use her anymore (maybe in some furina teams but she is boring to play in her teams imo). I'm not regret pulling for her since she carried me a lot in my first months, but she is lvl 90 and i don't even use her ;-;
Neuvillette is versatile too, he easily covers ur Hydro applicator and he works well with other comps, hyperbloom, taser, vape, hypercarry, freeze. Also furina gives buff and her summon can dmg and heal too. Plus she will enable almost any dps use the hunter set which is very easy to use and very good to farm.
In my own opinion this list is wrong in every way,I only agree with a few of the characters if you’re starting a new account but not putting nahida(but nilou is in it),Furina(but xianyun),and neuvi(but hutao) just feels wrong,these characters I mentioned(nilou,xianyun and hutao) won’t work well without the counterparts except hutao,the reason I think neuvi is better is because he can reach a similar dmg ceiling with less effort which is important for new accounts no new player is gonna be jump canceling and all that to max efficiency,neuvi provides comfort and insane dmg at the same time.after this I don’t think is be following any of your recommended picks again,clearly you’re playing a different game
Yeah man I definitely agree with this.The list here sucks like how can you want nilou with no nahida and xianyun with no furina. Furina is literally the best buffer in the game all at the cost of running a healer which you would want to carry anyways especially for nilou bloom

For real, this was the best top 5 with the side mentions, and i totally literally agree with you, i don't have Al and Nilou and Yelan but I do have most of the characters you mentioned and I mean, we did get to try them all in previous event, and man I so much want Yelan now, I am just waiting for her rerun or if I can get Furina I will go for her instead, she is also a good option right?

2:42 energy recharge. You also really want energy recharge. Unless you have 170ish ( atleast 160). Put him on fav sword and give him some crit rate
If you can't build enough crit rate to proc fav consistently or enough er, then I guess just use the sting and wait for better artifacts

Indeed i have all those characters,what a delight,totally confirm that those characters boost an account very quickly easily taking care of a huge variety of situations,great video and advice mr,Eakes!! Love the Nilou mention,her power and teams are sometimes underrated,but she shreds enemies like it's a joke,and without crit value artifacts

My top five for a new account would be:
Kazuha, Nahida, Neuvillette, Yelan, Raiden
Reasoning:
- Kazuha - most universal buffs, best CC, anemo
- Nahida - best dendro applicator, requires almost no investment to function and makes low-investment teams like hyperbloom easier to play, best unit to have if you’re planning to invest your primogems in dendro meta later
- Neuvillette - most self-sufficient on-field carry, good in both AoE and ST, easy to play
- Yelan - hydro applicator, decent damage from off-field, your second Xingqiu
- Raiden - hyperbloom trigger that you can guarantee, allowing you to play the cheapest to build single-target team; and Raiden National is still a strong braindead to play option

I've built Xianyun recently and implemented her into my Hu Tao Vaporize comp and I managed to get Xianyun at c2. I've actually managed to complete floor 12 for the first time with PlungeTao doing over 100k with plunge attacks.

I have both nilou and nahida and my next 5 star will hopefully be kazuha. I can agree these 5 stars seem funner to play than others
My two first limited characters were Kazuha and Alhaitham and they hard carried me through everything- exploration and damage. I dont regret them at all
Guys this is C0 stop with neuvillette, he's trynna make a new acc he would need Layla or Zhongli if he wants neuvillette, he's annoying as fuck alone on C0 and Furina also need a healer

The feeling that it's my account description before Xianyun comes out made me laugh, like... sure I was new to the game (in may 2023) but got the best units I could at the time for abyss clear. :D Kazuha was very helpful with that (barely use him now, too strong) , Alhaitham and Yelan are still in use for today's abyss since bow is great there and dendro is powerful element even without Nahida (with her it's too much too, lol). It is great to have these options on "easy game" switch, but it's not the only way to play the game as I wanted to play so options are always needed.
I would mostly agree with this list, the only exception would be swapping Xianyun for neuvillette. I got nilou the first week of playing, and she's absolutely nuts with low investment.
and always remember, swipping is not necessary to 36stars the abyss, there is many way to do so with a lot of character. Just build your xiangling and you'll be fine lmao (true)
Im loving this list haha. Especially because Alhaitham got a well deserved spot. I feel similar about him and sometimes he’s often overlooked. Especially the fact that he’s super fun and versatile to play/build. Even if you do make some mistakes, he’s still strong and eventually you learn how to optimize his mirrors ect.
I think my 5 must pulls would be…Alhaitham, Nahida, Yelan, Raiden, and Kazuha. Bonus favorites are Zhongli and Kokomi haha. I think these are my favs with honorable mentions of Neuvillete and Furina.

I would say my top 5 would be the top 4 characters that culled a fuck ton of artifact farming and primogem investment to allow me to 36* the abyss the first time plus one that allowed overall versatility in team making for the newer abysses: Childe, Alhaitham, Nahida, and Kazuha from least to most important and splash Zhongli somewhere. Basically the team combinations to can make with those 4 are insane and lead to easy to play, high damaging teams that function from only 2 5*s. You can mix and match them depending on your 4*s, and if you need a shield breaker or otherwise need to resistance shred unconditionally then Zhongli can fill in that roll for little cost.
As someone who is F2P and only had one account, I pulled for Kazuha, and i'm more then just happy he's amazing, he's my first 5 star Character that I got from the Limited banners (lost 50/50 on Raiden to Tighnari, but i love him)

I agree with you on characters 1, 2 and 4! The others are quite a hot take and i'd put Furina over one of them. Reason for that is the same reason you put character number 4 on this list: Furina enables so many chars that were almost useless before her, but you need the marechaussee hunter set on them.
And Nahida would make it in my personal top 5 list on the first place. And if I would have to choose a bonus character I'd maybe choose Neuvillette over Raiden and Zhongli
For new players my recommendations would be furina, baizhu, any electro dps (unless you get keqing and kuki then your fine and I wouldn't recommend cyno even though I love him), any limited pyro dps (except lyney, even though he is my main), and for the last slot I'd say pick from kazuha, yelan and possibly zhongli if you're bad at dodging or want to make the game feel easier. Zhongli is only a must pull for lyney and ganyu. It's also good to have a cyro dps sometimes too. Supports first and build xiangling and Bennett.

bro kazuha is definitely the best anemo character MOST of the times if not at all times If I had to rank anemo characters he would surely be on the top

I have to be honest- Raiden C0 is still my strongest DPS. She hits 120- 130k in my Sunfire team with Furina. It’s a brain dead team, so fun!

Yeah I was struggling with abyss on my newer teams (granted they’re not fully done and I still need furina) but I just went back to one of raidens rly old teams and beat the abyss side I was struggling on in like 20 seconds

I could say annoying part is where he roars lot while doing atk but it's ok other than that he is perfect unit for starter, veterans and professional player since his playstyle is easy to use and with his trash build artifacts u could still do great dmg and has best f2p weapon that is prototype amber , and in his lore talk against archon he will judge everyone action who can compete with him bruh
I started playing genshin in 3.4 when alhaitham came out and I accidentally pulled alhaitham in 5 pulls the same day I made my account but then I stopped playing around 3.7 and just came back in 4.4, was making jokes how I could get nahida with the 8 pulls I had and I ended up pulling her in 1… the genshin gods have spoken to me

Yeah I agree imo the best units are Raiden, Kazuha, Nahida, Yelan and Bennett. But I think the one I’d recommend the most is Yelan she just does so much and is so fun!

Venti arrow is not random ,there is a arrow where shows where his vortex will land ,there is a huge reddit post talking about it ,i recommend you to check that out
Imho ,for new players the best characters (just because they offer everything with minimal effort) are:
1) Yelan
2) Kazuha
3) Neuvillette (just because it takes a while to get to Fontaine for his materials, otherwise tied with Yelan as the undisputed #1s. Not even that, I'd say he's #1, but Yelan is simply better for exploration, so it's a tie)
4) Xianyun (team wide healer and makes everyone a DPS + Anemo + top tier exploration)
5) Alhaitham
Furina at C0 would mean a bloodbath everytime you face an enemy (I mean, she's tricky even for AR55+ players, let alone the guy/girl that just reached Mondstadt lmao. On the other side she is excellent for traversing water surfaces which is great for some very annoying Inazuma puzzles).
Nahida without Kuki or Raiden (or Yae or Fischl or literally anyone that can make use of her off-field Dendro application) is very much a "good luck doing anything" character.
So while both are strong, they are not even close to some other characters for early game.
I dissagree on not putting furina and neuvillette but that might be because they are hard to build rn as their bis artifacts arent in the strongbox. Still unfair cuz theyre really good

Alhaitham, Ayaka, Nilou and Hu Tao getting mentioned over Neuvillette is kinda crazy. Supports have a higher pull value over most if not any dps units. However Neuvillette is the exception.

@@theguywhoasked3354 hu tao best team is with xianyun yelan and furina no damage behind c1 and can front load way more damage than your neuvillete each plunge can hit around 200k with charged attack being close to 100k with yelan damage too where your neuvillete hit max around 50 ca’s not to include his boring ass gameplay and your burst can hit even higher than the plunge around 300 with proper buffs and setup neuvillete is hella over rated he ain’t the best
@@theguywhoasked3354 my 226 cd hu tao staff of Homa 70 crit rate mid artifacts with non build xianyun only 2500 attack with level 8 talent(xianyun) hit 180k rn bro wdym 160k and that was with crimson witch shimenawa will do even more there is no way with well built xianyun and a better hu tao I can’t reach 200k
@@theguywhoasked3354 I hit 227k with shimenawa rn plunge attack with 50 290 crit damage circlet and hit 202 k plunge with shimenawa 65 to 245 crit rate circlet (cr is low because I don’t have a single good offset pyro damage bonus with cr or cd my best is with only 20 cd) 75 crit rate can easily be achieved and also my circlet is shit with only 6.2 cd so you can easy achieve 200k + plunges with this team also I can do 5 charged attacks and 5 plunges which is 1.5 mil damage and can easily be 1.6 or 1.7 with better investment (also my ca was 110 k) it took 12 sec which is the same neuvillete would take for 3 full charged shots which result in 1.2 mil damage bozo

The only character I don't have in this list is nilou, will pull for her if there's a rerun
Reasearch her playstyle before pulling her. I have seen lot of people regret pulling for her. Not me tho perhaps because I have both nahida and kokomi.

But its worth to pull if you poor and skill issue. Nilou C0R0 without nahida is greater than other character in this list (C0R0: raiden, neuvilete, ayaka, ganyu,wanderer, all of main dps except alhaitham). Nilou is just production ready while all chars in the list is still grinding their artifact and cope for R1 and constellation
@@corntall4752 You are delusional. Alhaitam, Nuvilete, Hu Tao, Navia and Xiao have higher scalings compared to Nilou without nahida c2. She is pretty horrible for non-nilou abyss rotations. Just because a character doesn't require a lot of investment doesn't mean they are broken.

As an alhaitham and neuvellete main I'm happy and both sad. I like neuvellete too. He changes my abyss a lot. And above all we share same b'day. So I like him too
Hands down to new players who listen those advices.Ok for Kazuha,only agree for that.Otherwise first spot is Nahida for sure.Honorable mentions,Raiden change my account forever like no one before and after her.And my Furina NO NEED healer,every enemie died even with my 50% drained health.Cheers

if i was starting over i think the 5* i would go for are: Nahida, Kazuha, Kokomi, Furina and Wriothesley 💕
(close tie between wrio & neuvillette but i find wrio more fun to play heh)
my top 5 picks (in order) are
5) Nahida (She's pretty fun to use and also really strong, farming deepwood is a massive pain in the ass though)
4) Furina (she's cute and also really broken)
3) Yelan (she's so beautiful it makes me want to puke)
2) Raiden Shogun (very confortable to use and stuff)
1) Venti (I cannot live without my favorite femboy bard, he's my personal must pull character)

Man, this is making me tempted to pull Kazuha. I was so torn because you have Neuvi and him running at the same time, and I wanted to save for Furina... I have Furina guaranteed, but I suppose she won't rerun in a while? Idek anymore. I want Furina for my Xiao/Hu Tao Xianyun team. I already have Ayato, which although he's nowhere near as good as Neuvilette, he gets the job done. Tough choices
furina is probably coming in 4.6 first half
She’ll rerun soon. New archons get a rerun a few patches after release.
Archon tends to get their first rerun after 3 updates from their release. (Ex: venti 1.0-1.4, nahida 3.2-3.6). So yeah she will probably have a rerun in the 4.6 update.

i am confused between pulling for neuvillette and kazuha. i dont have kazuha on my account and i really think that i need him but i also have neuvilette's weapon. the problem is that i am on 50/50 with 0 pity and i currently have 120 pulls thoughts?
I asked a bunch of people on whom to pull im getting mixed signals from everyone 😭😭 some sayig pull kazuha some saying neuvillete
I am AR 57 but i still struggle to 36 star the abyss. Im able to get anywhere between 33-35 stars
I might get kazuha as i do have childe and ayaka who can use kazuha
Neuvillette. I started the game when his banner dropped and I used to play with my friends. The progressiom difference was insane. He can carry you in every situation and will never die. Kazuha wouldnt help much if you dont have characters dealing elemental damage at all times. Neuvi can solo carry the team
