  • This is my review of the BenQ PD2706UA Designer Monitor. This is a 4K IPS USB C Monitor that was designed with designers in mind.
    BenQ PD2706UA Monitor: amzn.to/3RuUyXk
    This has a 4K 27" IPS display that supports HDR400 and has a delta E of 1.31. This monitor has a special mode called M-Book that synchronizes the display color calibration with that of the MacBook Pro to give you a consistent color profile across your displays.
    The display is factory-calibrated for color accuracy, so you don’t need to worry about tweaking any settings before you start working. BenQ also includes its Eye-Care Technology that filters harmful blue light to minimize eye fatigue and promote increased user comfort during extended periods of usage.
    One of the cool things about this monitor is that it comes with the ergo arm that clamps to the side of the desk and gives you the ultimate flexibility. It lets you adjust the height, tilt, swivel, rotate, and bring the monitor closer or farther away from you. The monitor arm has a cable management slot that helps tidy up your workspace making it look more professional.
    This might be the best midrange 4K monitor that you can find under $1000. This is packed with so many features. It comes with a hotkey puck that lets you control the monitor, it supports kvm so you can set up two different systems. There are picture-in-picture, picture-by-picture, and it has plenty of USB ports. There are also multiple color modes that you can choose from to meet your working needs.

    Thankyou for the review! Is the USBC cable provided in the box facilitate both Power Delivery (upto 90 W) and data transfer (4k videos) please? The spec sheet does not clearly mention this.

    Is the PD2705U the previous model of the PD2706U or is there any other difference? Because on BenQ website Europe they both are same price which does not make sense to me🤨
    Nice review btw!

      PD2705U has 65W power delivery over USB-C. PD2706U - 90W. If u have 16 inch Macbook Pro then PD2706U is better choice. For Macbook Air it doesn't make difference.
      PD2706U has also better brighness level: 350-400 (in HDR mode) while PD2705U - 250-350 nits. Comparing to most Mac native screens that usually have 500+ nits PD2706U screen is closer and better.

    @ghtechreview, what happened to the Samsung S8 27" Monitor from 3 years ago? was it good?

    How different is this to the PD2705U ? I understand this looks slightly different and also comes with the ergo arm. Is this worth the extra £100? are there any other spec differences?

    How are the viewing angles when tilted back? Thinking about getting this monitor to put below my Ultrawide for color grading in Davinci Resolve. It'll be tilted about 45-Degrees.

    Hi, can I plug a ssd directly on the monitor, and use with the single cable?

    I was a bit confused as as to whether this model was also compatible with a Windows PC or if it was only for Mac. Anyone know?

    • @ghtechreview
      @ghtechreview  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This can be used with both a Mac and PC. It's just has a feature for Mac's where it matches color profile of the MacBook display.

    it's beautiful but honestly on 4k you have to increase everything its so tiny

    • @ghtechreview
      @ghtechreview  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah that is pretty much the case on 4K monitors. You pretty much have to have it at 200% scale.

    Is there any specific difference between pd2705ua and pd2706ua ?

    • @ghtechreview
      @ghtechreview  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They are identical. Besides the price difference, with the Pd2705ua you will not get DCI P3 support and you will get 65W power delivery instead of 90W

      @@ghtechreview for normal content consumption and coding, i think it will be fine, I am thinking of going with the 32 inch one

    Good review. Chapters and presentation are good. The sound speaker test is not really.. well necessary imo, because the speakers are recorded with your microphone, then encoded for TH-cam video, TH-cam itself compresses the signal even more and processes it differently than it will be heard on the other end. It works, ok.
    But your pronunciation is hard to understand. You are fast rolling the words together, without proper separation/distinction, so that it is perceived as mumbling. It's already difficult to follow fast talking people, when they are speaking clearly, but even harder, when their pronunciation is not the clearest. That rushing style is experienced as if you were nervous and takes away from your otherwise good outlined presentation. Yes, I read your comment, that you said that you were sick and had a nasal voice. But, at least for me, it was even with the no-nasal-voice hard to understand at times. Maybe slow down, just a little bit, especially when you are sick.
    I don't want you to slow down endlessly, to go super-slow-mo like some others do, and I can be impatient too, or fast talking too, so I can relate to you. And I am not a native English speaker either, so I have my accent too. Accents are natural and gives your speech your own flavour. Don't lose your personality.
    Please take this as constructive criticism and don't take this personal. It was a helpful video. Good luck with your TH-cam-career and everything else :)! ¡Saludos de Alemania!
