cars are an expensive hobby, and the biggest issue you will find is people who dont have the money but want all these different mods and go for the cheapest option ie DIY and not matter what tutorials you follow or reading the manuals. you wont ever be better at getting it professionally installed. dont go cheap on parts either. get it done properly the first time and it will be cheaper in the long run.
Hey I recently noticed that my rear wheels bounce way more it used to, I never had a problem riding on the LOW setting but now I be banging my quarter panel. I stiffen my ride setting and it didn’t change anything
What brand of suspension, and what car? It sounds like you are at a low spring rate (wheelrate) and that is causing excessive travel. There is no easy fix apart from raising the car up. Super Low kits use the thickest possible air springs, and we spec the smaller air springs when ever possible.
How do I know if my air spring is bottoming out or topping out? Cause when I accidentally hit a small pot hole, I heard a similar noise to what you described. But I’m following the specs you guys recommend for my GR86. This is on the Super Low suspension and I mainly hear it in the rear.
Great question checkout the video we just came out with last week, this may answer your question! th-cam.com/video/f6MzXOzFsB4/w-d-xo.html&lc=UgwZqx5imyxTuNSEpC54AaABAg
I’ve just fitted my airlift kit, my compressor doesn’t turn on when I start the car, the error message on the display says compressor frozen, what does this mean? Have I used a permanent feed instead off an ignition feed? As the display stays on all the time
Yes it sounds like you are not using a valid ignition source for the ignition wire. Use a multimeter to determine a 12v source that is off when the ignition is off.
I’ve now used an ignition switch and everything works as it should, is it normal for the compressor to turn on and off throughout the night to keep the pressure in the tank with the ignition off? Yes I know I’ve a small leak, just haven’t go around to finding it yet
@@LeeRoyJuniour No this will wreck your battery. It seems like your ignition source is keeping the system "awake" or comes back on later after parking the vehicle. sometimes we tap into a tail light wire that's only ever on when the vehicle is running.
What could be the reason I lose pressure on my front strut when l lock my steering wheel to the left/right? But if it’s straight or slight left/right turns it’s normal.
i recently starting hearing a rattling like noise coming from my front end on both sides but more notable on the right and i took a look at everything and nothing is loose or visibly wrong. i’m worried it topped out but i really don’t know for sure, if it did is that covered on the warranty?
Topping out won't cause an "instant" failure. It's more of an issue over time, and it means that the plastic internal bump stop will evenly be destroyed. A rattling noise could be some of part of the vehicle other than your suspensions, so consider having who ever installed your system take a look at the vehicle.
Unfortunately there isn't a way. The only option for the car to immediately air up without having to press a button on the controller is when the car first turns on, its a feature called "rise on start". Most control systems also have bluetooth capabilities that you can use directly from your phone.
Sometimes my front bags wont let air out when the compressors are running. I hear the clicking when the buttons are pressed, but nothing happens. After the compressors are done filling, then valves start working again. Bad valves?
Next time this happens, make a note of the tank pressure. If it's too low, it can cause this, until it's increased back up to the same level as the front air springs.
I figured mine out. It was the controller. The switches were touching inside. I had a constant 12v at my front and rear up switches. I disassembled the controller and the solder was touching another part of the switch.
Most of the time it's a pinched line, but is some cases having lines that are much different lengths can cause this to an extent. I would look for pinches first!
@@bagriders it used to go up at the same time then i haven't used it for awhile then when i used it again i notice the rear passenger side goes up slower than the rest
Hey is it possible to rip the air spring if my max height setting is too high and puts too much psi in the bags? I have a ripped bag rn that literally jus happened over night somehow. I wondering if bc i aired up to park and didnt air out after i had too much psi in my max height setting causing the spring to rip
In all my time working with air suspension, I have not seen that happen. Also, parking aired-up over night should not cause any issues. Can you send photos to sales@bagriders.com of the damaged bag?
Verry upset with 3p the purchase air compressor was hot straight out the box plugging in 2 days later bag popped turning a curb at 60 mph your kit spent 1000 extra on everything said it was designing for my 5th generation bought 2 new compressor with your hard headed company and my part number for my vehicle overnighted 2 bags for the front and they both don’t fit, very terrible experience with bag rides and airlift performance I called at 7 am you guys send the incorrect part to buy and I knew because I just ordered that one with $150 1 day shipping look up the part number of the bag for the kit dosnt even pop up 🤣what a joke call the number they told me and sent me a bag for a Mercedes 🤣i dialed 7 for costumer service said your in a team meeting yall got me so messed up all the way how simple is it to display actual pictures for the part numbers and put the vehicle
Instead of trying to publicly shame the company contact them. I’ve had nothing but good things to say about bagriders. I’m in Australia and had an issue with my manifold and they sent a new one with in 3 days it arrived.

Sounds like you have a McPherson suspension (struts that rotate when you steer) and your front lines are probably a little too short.

Can you park over night aired out ?
Yes, you can!
i have an 08 bmw 335i on the 3p set up what’s a good psi/ride height to be at for driving? i’m very new to the bag scene
35-45 PSI (Front)
70 PSI (Rear)
This is what the two Air Lift manuals say, these are also downloadable here www.bagriders.com/tech/
So the shock can not be opened to replace internal parts 🤨
Are you trying to replace the piston or what?
