Really good review. I also started on a 250 rebel. Loved that little bike ! After 500 miles traded it in for a Honda 750 spirit. 20,000 miles later sold the spirit after buying a Goldwing. One thing i'll say for Honda, they make bikes that last. I've never had a problem with any of them. The Goldwing now has 100,000 'trouble free" miles
Very nice review Meghan. Honda continues to make sensible bikes for the average person. They know how to make fast rip your arms out of there sockets bikes but they know that the majority of us don't need or want that or can handle that. So thank you Honda for building bikes for us average gals and guys to ride and enjoy.
Some people don’t really care for Harley, and for my wife at 5’4 she loves it, being able to flat foot is huge for her confidence and while she can ride manual, suburban settings make a big win, not having to deal while watching traffic. Safer. So no, of course it’s not for everyone, but for many this is a superb solution to ride safely and be happy. That is what it’s all about, isn’t it?
I recently bought my 1100T! I’ve got 130 miles on it (March in Wisconsin) and love it as a first bike! I didn’t want to crush my bank account on a Harley, and love the ease of handling. Great bike (bias opinion)
I was shocked at how light this 1100 felt; loved the features and accessories; but the riding geometry felt cramped and awkward FOR ME. A week later I found a blue flame 2013 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 with shaft drive that had been dropped by a newb a few years earlier, traded hands with 3400 miles for only $3500. Got on it and ran it through the gears; fit me like a glove! Replaced a rear turn light and foot peg, put a rack, saddle bags, tank bag and rear seat bag on it then took it on a 1500 mile round trip about a month later. Honda makes great cruisers!
Beautiful day for riding ☀️. Cool orange Harley trike at the lights. Looks like a bike show on the corner going by. Yeah it's not a Harley killer, but is a good cruiser bike. Yeah agree the fairing should be slightly taller for use at high speeds. Yeah the bars seem like a good riding position for you. Nice beachy reserve 🎋🏝️ Cool riding on the beach.
The new Rebel looks so good! You also look good and comfortable on it. As one accustomed to naked bikes (I rode all my lessons on one) I can totally understand you mentioning you don't mind to catch the wind. But for long trips I can imagine being able to ride longer with a windscreen due to wind fatigue, if you even notice it if you ride naked bikes only. My first bike will be a naked as well they're so good looking but it can/does opt with a windscreen have to test that out for sure when I be able to pick it up from the dealer soon!
I prefer removable fairings... I don't really like them on, unless I am doing very long trips, or its very cold out and I need to block the wind. I have a Memphis Shades fairing on my Rebel 1100, and it works great for that... only put it on when I need it. Naked in the front with bags in the bike looks great. The chain is very bad for long trips though... it really should have had a belt.
True. Even though my Trident has a chain drive, I agree that people shouldn't buy a motorcycle with a chain unless they are going to take the time to maintain it.
Make the manual an option and give it at least a 5 gallon tank and I'd consider it. Until then it just doesn't work for me any better than just dumping money onto my sportster to make it more tour ready (which I can get an aftermarket 5 gallon tank to fit on it). It's a good start and I like the idea of the smaller mid-sizeish touring cruiser but they still have work to do.
Agreed. Decent bike but it's no replacement for a full size touring bike like a Harley. And Hondas have a different vibe. They can't replace each other. They're just different, for different needs and styles.
Nice bike. Thanks for sharing your experience Meghan. Would love to ride it one day. Everything is good, except for the stock speed limit.👎 Big nah! nah! for me. Take care, stay safe and ride safe. It's actually very cool to see you talking with us while holding camera on hand.❤️ Not bad.🤙
Great video. The Rebel has been growing on me. Really dont like the touring version though. I think the bagger style is uniquely American. The big front fairing looks silly. Great to hear that its a bit more accessible for shorter riders. My wife is 5' 2", so quite difficult finding a bigger cc bike she can comfortably ride.
There is no such thing as a Harley Killer. Only practical choices. When it becomes too much check points on utility and functionality then Adventure bikes are even better than a cruiser category itself. Harley is for the Niche and Honda is for everyone or anyone.
Sweetie, not to be a mansplainer, but it's Broad Avenue, pronounced *brawd*. Like in the expression, "broad and wide." Like Frank Sinatra describing a woman: "That dame is a good broad." Glad you liked the 1100T. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Harley guy, but this is the first bike in a loooong time that tempts me to switch to Big H. If only that thing came in different colors and had even a *tiny* bit of chrome on it :-/
@@MeghanStark By the way, would you recommend the bike to a beginner, first-time buyer? I like the fact it has an automatic transmission and 'rain mode' to help with control.
@@biggles8500 absolutely! I think it's a great beginner bike with some scalability, and its on the more affordable end. The modes make it very user-friendly.
A Honda Rebel (the whole lineup) is for short people and asian pacificer's. It's not for the average fat american Bubba that's got some height and girth on him from European stock. It's for midgets and short ladies.
I looked one over today. Fuel tank does not hold enough. Handlebars have no adjustment to speak of. Foot pegs lack any support. Suspension has limited travel. Windscreen is useless. Other than that I like it. For what it is. It ain’t a cruiser.
I pray for you in JESUS name amen the only name under heaven who can save us and answer prayers amen GOD bless! I ride a yamaha vstar 650 to work and church every week

Such a reliable bike brand, and it's nice and affordable to service. Especially compared to my Ducati 😅
I am not a cruiser guy but I think Honda has done a great job in the design and functionality of their Rebel series.
I feel the same! Fairings aren't really my jam, but the bones of this bike are really great to me.
@@MeghanStark Once you get used to a fairing, and if it keeps the wind off of you, you will come to love them. But they need to look nice for sure.
Looks good, bike ain't bad either.
Glad to hear the happy smiling voice.

great content. jealous your in FL and I'm stuck here in the snow in Madison, WI.
I'm 5' and love mine! 👍🏽
Its a great fit for us shorties 🙂
Love your reviews! I have a few days off work this week, so I am going to have to take a test ride with a bike that has DCT!
Thank you for watching! You should absolutely check it out, it's a blast

hope you enjoy you stay here in Florida, Drivers can be a bit crazy stay safe
slow speed just feather your back foot brake, it get easy after a while. just like feathering a clutch
Yo! That bike fits you well.
Thanks Jason! I agree 😃
Hmmmm 🤔
When I consider myself too old for my cafe racer, I'll be giving that machine serious consideration.
Thanks Ms Stark. 🙏
Miss nice weather in Florida
Its nice to see you enjoying your bike Megan. If you like that dct when you can look into a new Gl1800 super comfy

It needs a bigger tank, and a belt or shaft... the chain is horrible for long distance riding.
We do get the manual option over the pond, agree it needs a bigger tank and belt or shaft drive.
僕も今度、今乗ってるRevel1100DCTからRebel1100T DCTに乗り換えるつもりです。だからこういう動画は見てて楽しいです、ありがとう。
It's a neat bike I don't like fairings but doesn't look bad here
thanks for the video and review, Meghan Stark.😊♥️
It just needs forward controls and a bigger tank. But Meghan, the real point is you look so good in those pants. Larry in Fort Worth
you look great on that bike!
I’ve always wanted to ride but have always been worried about manual shifting. I’m glad Honda came out with the DCT system
Manual shifting is really simple! Once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature. But it's great that DCT is an option for people
Do they make a automatic in 750 or 500
There is a Honda NC750X DCT, but its a different style bike.
What phone mount do you use?
Where do they allow to ride on a beach?

Not a true cruiser , but it’s a dope bike. Electra glide , road glide, gold wings. That’s a cruiser
5’4” love mine but manual

Everyone says it ain’t for tall folks I ride on comfortable and I’m 6’1” and 240 pounds
itsa sssweeeeet ride!!!
🤘😘🤘
it really l👀ks g00d on u!!
🥰
like a mullet?
theres a regular one without the stuff on it - | It was the 1st version to come out before the bagger ..........

Better than a Harley for sure tho!
✌😏
Na.
@@MichaelRCarlson you must ride a Harley
Sounds like you haven’t had Harleys. 😆
Small tank, slow, no options for customization etc.
You must be new. Lol
You could save room by just putting half your riding jacket in the bag instead of the whole jacket lol

Im just looking at the phone not having any sort of protection and cringing.
There's a clear case on it 🤔

Poor imitation of an HD Street Glide.

Unfortunately I think it looks ugly. I don't like the look of the tank.
