They wanted to do either Superman or Batman Beyond but WB forced them, a single player gaming studio, to make a online multiplayer live service game.
It had zero chance from the start, apparently the WB was the only ones that didn't know this.

A Superman game is pretty much impossible, how can you develop flight mechanics in a open world city and, on top of that, a sense of danger towards a godlike character? The Superman rumors never convinced me tbh. I either expected more Batman, maybe "Arkham Beyond" featuring high tech Batman... maybe another DC character based on gadgets like Green Arrow... but here we are

15 minutes per mission, 1520 missions to complete the pass. 60 mins per hour. 380 hours to complete the pass. 15.6 *DAYS* of continuous gameplay. 3 missions in practical terms. 5.2 days spent on each mission.
This means you need about 16 missions per day, meaning you need to devote 4 hours of your life every day for over three months just to unlock all the recolors without giving them more money.

Remember when the developers said that they knew people hated spending several hours a day grinding a game just to get one or two things or miss out completely because people have lives outside of gaming? And how they said this game wasn't gonna be like that? Turns out that was bullshit.

Especially since we never got to see all of the footage of his Joker that David Ayer had to CUT out of the movie, back when the 1st Suicide Squad was supposed to be rated R.
Before the WB execs saw the footage & it "scared the sh*t out of them" (the director's words) and they forced him to completely change up the whole tone of the film, and make it PG13 instead. 🤦🏻♀️😩 I don't think people realize just how BADLY WB screwed that 1st SS movie up. All of the blame went on Jared Leto or on the director... but the REAL villain of the DCEU was WB all along trust me...

This game, in my universe, is ultimately dismissed from being canon. Batman Origins is more canonically received than SSKTJL.
NO!!!!!! Kevin conroy loved Batman. It was his main role that he related to with hiding behind a mask and being a symbol of hope to others. So no, he definitely didn’t want Batman to go out this away it goes completely against what he loves about Batman. It’s more likely given the leaks, Kevin knew more about how the “story” was Going to go in future seasons. Also again he mostly likely felt entitled to return as Arkham Batman. They practically needed him because he was Arkham Batman. Also because it gave him the opportunity to basically be evil Batman which isn’t something he has gotten before.
The fact the Joe stuck around for a live service has me stunned since this isn’t normal for him.

the absolute kicker was that all those wepons and buids being grinded for base game are now pointless as it sounds like they made only poison viable
They dont reset you level to 0. the levels you earned playing season 0 or "Finite Levels" are still there and playable while still having a new set of levels and masteries attached to the season 1 "Fear". Ive seen people complain about previous build not working with the current season but i think its a fun mechanic with the "Meta Busters" which stop you from using items and builds that previously worked and force you to try out new build with the new items that the season introduced (though i think a stash would be helpful as items are becoming cumbersome). This is only Episode 1 of Season 1 with 3 more Episodes coming with new characters and new items presumably coming as well.

How about Persona 3 Reload, a remake from a PS2 game who remains solid, but it's obviously double A... $70. Literally spliced up on purpose, P3 already had a "definitive version" in the PS2, Atlus will sell that content at $25, then most likely they will include the Portable content as DLC, so for the entire PS2 experience in the mid 2020s, you will have to pay over $100. This is still one of the worst game story of all time. They literally down graded their main heroes and Brainiac. How can they beat The Arkham Batman and a Superman that is hardly affect by kryptonite. In the comics and movies Brainiac is always a threat that the whole Justice League and Darkseid struggle to deal with and you expect me to believe these guys can do it with ease without dying or losing one from the team. Pathetic writing right there ladies and gentlemen. What's next they going to beat Darkseid with ease too after they beat all the Brainiacs, their plot armor is even greater than the Batman himself and he's supposed to be the King of plot armor in DC.

Anthem was kinda fun gameplay wise. They just needed to fix the rest. And they seemed ready with that whole "Anthem Next" thing. But EA just had to close that down.

So level 35 isn’t tied to character level. It’s more like a battlepass rank for the season
Not even that, at least the battle pass you can grind normally this is even worse cause it levels up at "special missions" that appear at random with a random reward that may actually not show up for a long while

The game is done. When the release bombed WB probably decided to cut the budget for seasonal content. They are trying to milk whatever they can out of the remaining players before they shut off the servers in a year.

Sad thing is there will always be a market for this crap and doubt this will ever end. I can see demographics are kids/teens who use their parents' cards, or streamers who want to record the Joker content (or game in general) for viewers whom knowingly will not invest in this crap.

They did something kinda like this in Marvels Avengers. You cant see the actual endgame unless you purchase PS+ and play online and your characters had to be certain level. But in Avengers the new characters were immidiately available and you didnt have to spend money. These games are meant for mindless gamers who have nothing else in life to spend money on other than Season Passes and MTX
