Have you noticed when resizing your brass it having a belt around the bottom? Mine does even when loading on the lower end of powder charge. I don’t think it’s over pressured. I’ve got some headspace gauges to check my chamber and bolt coming. Just wondering if you’ve seen that at all.
I have experience this on another barrel. I was running a Ballistic Advantage barrel that was chambered slightly oversized causing the brass to expand out to chamber walls and when resized it is pushed down to the point where the resizing die stops causing the belt or ring. When I switched to the Proof barrel that issue went away, tighter chamber tolerance, didn’t allow the brass to over expand. Measuring fired brass out of both barrels, the BA barrel was .002 longer headspace and .001-.002 larger web diameter, that amount of brass when resized was flowing back to cause the belt / ring. My guess is you have a loose chamber over expanding your brass when fired. Allot of commercial barrel manufacturers chamber their barrels on the high side of spec to ensure all ammo will chamber. What barrel you running?
For sure man, gonna be busy next couple months with Hunting season on the way, but would definitely be down to go air out some bullets with ya. Thanks for watching
