I would say the reason for storing muzzle down , is so any water/salts gunk , does not run back into the barrel , and any build up in the suppressors etc , as you see the suppressors still on the barrel .
Most will un screw suppressors and not leave mounted , as they can virtually rust in place , and become so rusted they can not be un-screwed .
I did learn a lot. That custom vise is the coolest. It is slotted to hold dovetail and a round barrel.
Ngl, this had me stalemate on the can. Couldn't put the phone down, and I couldn't stand. Loved this

Piet in my experience I like the the bipod a bit further out. Less vertical spread for some reason.

The 30 Sherman is an improved 300prc. Case taper is blown out and shoulder angle is steeper.

Why do you store your rifles barrel down . Can you show us how you do it please
Very nice rifle! Is there a big difference in ballistics between the 28 and the 30 Sherman? Would you need a 28 AND a 30? I have a 6.5 CM and would like to get a bigger caliber rifle later as I get better. I would like to stay with a short action, would a 6.5 PRC have a big enough advantage up to 1600m or would I have better luck with a 7mm PRC and up?
That 6.5cm will easily go 1600. But honestly it all depends on what your doing with the gun. Hunting or smacking steel. If u want to go more elr. I would atleast go long action and do a 300prc and really have something capable of 3000yrds.
I hear you Andrew. I use the 6.5 CM solely for shooting steel. I just want to save on components till I am good enough to warrant a bigger rifle.
@@attiepatattie yea I don't blame u one bit. I have been looking at going to a 33xc but components at that level are nuts. IMO there isn't anything in a short action worth a build going from a 6.5cm that really going to take u out alot farther. Almost have to go long action atleast to really got to 3000 yards and for 4k something like a 33xc. So it's just all in what your goals are. But your right get good at load workup and shooting with the 6.5cm.

You've got the 28 sherman and the 30 sherman. They are both very capable or long range and I'd love to have both. Would like to know why you went with both when they seem soo close? Or are they that different?

Doesn't the 30 Sherman beat the 300 prc? Just likely other sherman calibers vs PRC of its caliber

The scoped/butt end of the rifle is larger than the barrel end so when you lean them outwards you can fit more than if they’re a all leaning in to each other.
He explained it in another video, it’s because he doesn’t want the oil after he’s done cleaning leaking back into the action.

Would you ever consider making a Magnum build using the ESS Chassis but with the extremely rare combo of the tactical full rail forend accompanied by the tall scope base MDT offers? Ive only seen 2 people make video's about it and and honestly it looks like a Cadex Chassis when paired with a folding stock.

Have to ask, why not throw this build in an fully weighted ACC for the kind of shooting this rifle is intended for? Would it just be overkill? Love the video!
