Originally Brian Poole and the Tremeloes, the usual story was that the lead singer went on to solo success while the 'backing band' faded into obscurity. Not so The Tremeloes, who, minus their 'lead singer', went on to a long career of great numbers like this one. Congrats, guys, still performing, I believe.

Unfortunately they would not accept me because of my children. I am haunted to this day and when I hear this song it brings back memories.
