honestly dude you're a lifesaver. i'm doing all this for the first time and i had the video aspect setup already and was trying to figure out an audio method that i actually understood considering i don't have a goxlr. all the methods that used voicemeeter and stuff and that sent audio over through ethernet i didn't like doing at all cause it was really complicated but this method i actually understand much better and its alot easier. best part is i randomly stumbled across this video and i actually USE an astro mixamp so that was some real luck i didn't even know the mixamp could be used for this i wasn't thinking about it at all. thanks again!
So glad you made this comment @TheDexterity! This is exactly why I spent the time to make this video. I had so many issues and roadblocks, I just wanted to make sure people were as equipped as possible to get the right set up! Thank you!!!
I'm following your guide and I am stuck in 2 places. 1 - when I go into OBS on the gaming PC and go to the preview, all it shows is a blank screen. The other issue is I'm not seeing audio pass over the aux cables in the sound control panel. Would you be able to help?
I am having audio issues with the audio coming from my streaming pc Line out to my Gaming pc Line in. When the audio levels dips the sound seems to cut off and is all over the place til it balances, but it happens all the time with low level audio.
I ran into the issue that my Mic is hooked up to my streaming PC, then the game I play on my gaming pc, will not show the mic, and teammates or others won't be able to hear me. I'm using Avermedia 4k 2.1 capture card.
hi friend beautiful video thanks I was looking for one like this, I just wanted to ask you for information I have mixamp astro a40 with headphones with microphone, I have two PCs one for streaming and one for gaming, in the streaming PC I have the elgato 4k 60 pro video capture card, I wanted to start streaming what configuration do you recommend? among other things I also have an internal sound card in the gaming PC sound blaster ae5 plus, I find it a bit complicated to configure could you help me? I intend to also use the internal sound card with the mixamp how can I configure?
In my case I have an usb headset with a built in microphone (Logitech G Pro X). I don't have a mixer/mixamp/audio interface. How to send the audio from gaming pc to streaming pc and vice versa?
Hey @rodo9k, thanks for watching. Please reference in my video the 3rd set up option, this method does not require a mixer/mixamp/audio interface of any kind! It utilises the Line IN/Line OUT ports on your PCs with a basic AUX cord. But make sure you purchase the ground loop isolator and be very careful you plug in the correct ports as they are not grounded. Let me know how you go!
So I’m with you on this whole video.. Im smellin what youre stepping in. I have 2 (new) fully loaded PC’s, and i cant for the life of me, get my streaming PC to recognize the in or out port on Streamlabs OBS. Also, I only have ONE isolator (from almost 10 years ago when i started streaming, is there one of the two you recommend using them for?) ie: line in/out on stream PC?
Hi AnxiousTBE, thanks for watching and sounds like a great set up! My suggestion, I know it may sound odd, but get off of Streamlabs OBS, it has nothing but issues. Jump on to the most up to date version of OBS Studio and try from there. Are you trying to connect from Line OUT on gaming to LINE IN on streaming? Make sure that in your sound settings that while you are running sound to your gaming headset, you need to make sure that your LINE OUT is still "LISTENING" to the USB Headset (or whatever your audio is). Otherwise the sound will not be sent to two places and will always be sent to one.
@@Atreides_Gaming Ive tried all 3 ways. Nothing has worked. I would do OBS but i REALLY dont want to start my settings over again. So the sources dont show up as an audio choice at all. Currently: A40’s usb is in gaming pc. Stream port aux with isolator is in the (blue) IN port on streaming pc. Aux port aux is in the (green) OUT port. (No isolator and i still hear static.. sadly.) I tried optical method. No mixamp method. All pc drivers/settings/allowance are all good to go.
@@AnxiousTBE A couple of things, but sounds like you are trying everything! 1. Your MixAmp should only have a USB connection to your GAMING PC - make sure that you set your Astro settings to Voice and Game appropriately as per the video (super important) 2. Make sure you have downloaded Astro Command Centre, very important! and make sure you're settings are tuned up in there as per the video 3. Make sure that your AUDIO SOURCE on your STREAM PC is a (MIC) and NOT a Sound source Have you done these?
@@Atreides_Gaming Done everything but making my “sound” options as mics. I get what you mean by that too. They are not an option as audio input captures, or even as any “sound” option in obs or sound settings on desktop.
@@AnxiousTBE Last thing I would want to do would be to recommend to buy something, but for the minimal cost I would highly recommend one of these (link below). This acts as a USB LINE IN and takes away the issues of going direct into the LINE IN port. i got you foraudio your doing the headace part i been dual pc streaming 2017 and i just got the elgato wave 3 mic i use that for my audio too my pc also i use a capture card simple if you have the capture from avermedia or elgato i use a elgato 4k 60 pro mk2 and i just get audios from my elgato hd 60 pro 1080tp card and 4k 60 pro mk2
From my understanding this is a simpler process with a full Elgato set up - is that what you are referring to? Or did you have a question? Thanks for watching
I just got a two PC setup going, but I’ve run into an issue with the Wave Link software. I’ve got it set up on my gaming PC, but it won’t route all the audio mixers to my streaming PC (4K60 Mk2). I have the stream mix listening to the Cap Card HDMI, but again it’s still not showing any of the elgato wave link mix on the streaming PC.
Ffs how do u capture your desktop where all the icons lay on your extended screen if I do like you said I play the game and capture card just displays empty windows screen on obs or capture app.
@Atreides_Gaming Nvm i figured running 2 obs at the same time both main pc and second pc but it's seems losing a bit picture quality that way. Thanks for the reply 👍
Hey @innerGi, I have never lost picture quality using this method, just make sure that you are stream settings are all jacked up high enough on your main pc before you mirror on OBS

Hilarious that people still think they need a capture card.
Thanks for the comment! While a capture card is not “required” it adds a load of versatility, options and quality over the alternatives 😊
Or you could just use OBS teleport..very simple n good tbh.
you talk to much
