I'm hoping this video can help newcomers to get up to speed with how DS1 functions, even if they're coming from DS3/Elden Ring. Please like and share if you could be so kind!
1. CHAOSHANDER GIANTDAD 2. BANDIT 3. SOUL LEVEL 99 4. GIANT'S GIANT'S GIANT'S BECOME UNSTOPPABLE 5. HAVEL'S RING, RING OF FAVOR AND PROTECTION. STAMINA. HEALTH. ENDURANCE. EVERYTHING YOU COULD EVER WANT! 6. FATHER MASK. THE BEST LOOKING MASK IN THE GAME WELL WHAT IS IT? ARE YOU PRO YET? IT'S TIME TO FUCKIN' PWN SOME N00bZ
Nice vid. Some stuff i would add to your tips: 1. Its much easier to get more estus drinks in this game, judt be in human form and kindle a bonfire to receive more drinks, even more after gettinf the Rite of Kindling from Pinwheel. 2. The guard break animation doesn't let you capitalize with a critical attack like in DS2 and 3. 3. You showed that a "partial parry" can occur, that's when you still receive damage and stamina reduction from their attack but at least you deflect the hit. 4. The only time the fat roll is advantageous is when avoiding the spike attack from Moonlight Butterfly, your character flops behind the waist high wall during the attack. I might make my own video like this in the future lol, now i gotta add my two cents.
New and improved list :P 1. Start as a Pyromancer 🔥 2. Always keep your equip load under 25%, this game is a drag otherwise. 3. Use Quelaags Furysword. 🔥 4. Use a bow. 5. Do not be afraid of dying, you will do a lot better in these games if you do not buy into the 'omg its so hard and unfair' bs. Dying is no big deal in these games, you keep any items you picked up, mini-bosses and bosses stay dead, bonfires stay lit. 6. Use armour, sometimes all you need to do is get one more hit in, armour can allow that. Upgrade armour, but look for special upgrade armour, twinkling titanite is easier to farm (crystal cave). 7. Look before you leap - use strategy, fools rush in. 8. You do not need to parry, you do not need to block, fast rolling is good enough (personal choice of course). 8. Use summons for bosses, try to keep summons alive. It's more interesting. 9. Use wikis and youtube videos, these games are vague and cryptic, you will not work everything out by yourself. Do not however expect all (especially old) stats to be correct, due to patching and the remaster. 10. Play offline at least your first time, if you just want to learn and play the game without interruption from muppets. 11. Get the rite of kindling and upgrade the bonfires. 12. Beat O&S sooner, rather than later, so you can get fast travel. 13. Do not use the fap ring, it ties up 1 slot forever, and you only get 2 slots in this game. The ring is a crutch and Lautrec is a dick. I use havels ring and change the other ring situationally (hawk ring, covetous rings, charred, covenant of artorias etc). 14. Kill patches when he gets close to firelink shrine, because he is patches. Shop with him first though, The Cleric set is decent, although ugly. 15. Do not comment on youtube videos, or wikis, whining about ganks, or runbacks in any Dark Souls game. Ganks = enemies, runbacks = the level. Just get better and stop crying.
Perfect timing. Just started my DS1 play through today after a few hundred hours in both ER and DS3, and I’m actually crying because I’m not used to the janky 4 way dodge and low endurance metre. I’m still going to power through it though, thank you for your help!

Worst list I've ever seen.
@@derkuni3605 sorry if it isnt generic enough for you, I didn't even use the word meta, or mention reddit.
@@Skobeloff... You already sound too much like a redditor, no need of mentioning it.

It has omnidirectional rolling, just unlock the camera.
@@YiddishDancingClown I do that but usually only when I’m getting ganked. I’ll get used to it!
light roll is really good place to start for tips, the light roll in this game is so good that they nerf'd it in future games including ER
so true! every new playthrough I watch, they discover the light roll waaaay later and it's a game changer haha
elden ring brought a lot of new fans, they should play the older games indeed
