    For anyone completely new to blender and wanting to do this without just winging it. I would first go through the official blender tutorial playlist and watch up to the "mesh selection mode" video. It took me maybe 45 mins to an hour going through that playlist to get comfortable. I didn't watch the whole thing, only up to themesh selection section. I then hopped back to this video and was able to complete it no problem! I just recommend that as while this video is well explained, for a completely new person all the little things I don't know about can definitely make me frustrated. The videos over there are really short and concise, so its not long and drawn out.
    So, if you are new like me and want to get the very basics down, that playlist is great. And you can easily do this video! Just my two cents.
    This video is also a great way to learn and apply the things taught in that playlist as well! Very helpful.

  • @GhettoWxzrd
    @GhettoWxzrd 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If you want more of a PS1 movement style for the skeleton;
    Make the body, legs, arms and head all separate meshes, then select all of them together, hit Ctrl + J to join them. Then when you parent them with the Armature, select Armature Deform > With Empty Groups. Then you can select a part of the mesh, Like a leg by hovering over it and clicking "L", Then assign it to the correct vertex group in Object Data properties, With a weight of 100%.
    This way the bones move the separate limbs rather than the whole mesh, and Rather than having to weight paint it all yourself!

    I have the alpha channel connected between the image texture and the principle bsdf, and i have my blend mode set to Alpha Clip in the Material Properties, but all the empty/transparent spaces around the skeleton are mainly opaque black. There are just a few little areas where the transparency is showing through, so i know it's working.. But why is the majority of the transparent space opaque black still, instead of transparent? UPDATE: I figured it out. I had to increase the Clip Threshold, underneath the Blend Mode in the Material Properties panel.
