Car looks great, proportions are perfect. Very nicely planned and executed. I've helped a friend with 2 chops, they aren't as easy as some TH-cam videos want you to think. They are a lot hours of detail work, finish welding and metalworking.
looks good. you see all sorts of different ways people do it. I have a 49 Chevy Coupe at one time i thought I was going to chop, so I have been studying them for a few years..
Nice job Dan. I have a '48 Chev coupe that I want to chop, so I've collected a spare roof and door tops. The extra door tops will save one of the splices to the top of the window frame and the spare roof should give me lots of metal with the right shape for filling in the rear. I see you have a kart in the background. I used to go to Quesnel and a couple times to PG to race my kart.🙂
1:02 Great job! and while i prefer the vertical B pillar, I would still round the top corner of the door. Lady goes to sit down, car is at a slight angle, door swings shut while she is leaning forward, that corner goes into her eyeball... ask me how I know. Something I have learned in my old age, people did stuff back in the day for a reason, especially if it was more work. yea looking cool was important but functionality was first. Just because we dont understand why someone did something doesnt mean there wasnt a very good reason.
YEAH , GREAT JOB !! THATS ABOUT THE PERFECT CHOP I WANT FOR MY 54' CHEV ,NOT TO RADICAL ,BUT IMO PERFECT . HOPE YA DO FINISH VIDEO & IF YA EVER WANT TO DO OTHERS ,HIT ME UP ,I LIKE YOUR WORK.
I had a 51 Pontiac in 1968... Cool rides It looks better being chopped..I would remove the hood trim and the trunk of trim...also Interested in what are you going to do about the belt line in front of the windshield....

Nice job, i would definitely do the radius of the top of B pillar. Just a little finishing touch.
It’s drew wood here. I love the look. Clean up the welds. And polish it. Would look sick
