Your channel is about true hot rodding, making things fit, fabricating etc. I really like it! This was a nice build for wife!

Interesting to see the 6 come out and the 8 go in and back out without needing to remove the hood. Looks challenging but I'm sure you will make it work. Beauty of a little 54 Bel Air , like it a lot

FYI, you could have put a stock manual steering box and a Prius electric power steering unit in it. You'd have to cut the steering column in half and weld the shafts to either end of the power steering unit, then hook a brace to the firewall to counteract the torque generated by it. It only requires power, ground and key on power. You'd also be able to lose the power steering pump. Just something to think about.

That 56 will be sweet. And going to make the 67 a LS as well. The 54 did seem a harder swap. Than anticipated. But you guy’s got it done. Thank you for sharing!

On my 53 Chevy 3100 I'm running a stock column and box with EPAS electric P/S. Cut a few inches out of the column and bolt it in. Run a power wire and done. It has adjustable gain. no P/S box, pump. hoses, brackets, pulleys or belts. But that's just me. I also have electric A/C with remote condenser. Thank you for another great video.

With all the LS swaps you do Bent, you must have a massive "inventory" of vintage engines! At some point you'll have to dip into them on a future build! 😆

It’s amazing the work you turn out in your shop. It take me forever to get anything done, I do but it takes a long time. My project is a 1952 Chevrolet Fleetline slope back. No reposed except for putting a 60 chev 235 in it. Body and repaint.

I went to school with a guy who graduated 2 years ahead of me who drove a 54 Bel-Air (dark blue and white). I distinctly remember it as it was the first one I ever saw. Really cool cars. Nice to see this one on the road.

My 6.0 sounded like a diesel and a mechanic buddy told me to put in a quart of marvel mystery and by about 3,000 miles it quieted down to where you dont even notice any noise anymore. Now I put a pint in at every oil change to keep everything inside the motor clean

I don’t know what the footprint of the LS is, but when I was a kid a guy had a 348 shoehorned into a 54. Good luck I’m sure you’ll figure it out! By the way that is a good looking 54.😊. As I was watching this video I was thinking about how much you could do if you didn’t have to film 🎥.

Great work guys, I just bought a 54 210 2 door sedan and I'm going to put a LS in it. I'm one who screams "Just put an LS in it" but it was going to cost WAY too much to rebuild the 235 and 2 seed auto trans that it just wouldn't be monetarily smart. Why spend 5-8k having the original 235 rebuilt when I can go out buy a LS and 4 speed trans and rebuild them both for less than 2k. Building the best and fastest car spending the least amount of money is what Hot Rodding is all about.

The biggest problem I can remember with putting a V8 into an early GM car was the need to modify the firewalls… I remember a buddy of mine had a 1950 Oldsmobile 2door, at our 18 years old and no tools, he beat that crap outta the firewall to shoehorn a V8 in it. Can be done with minimal tools ! Haha
