A light and handy knife suitable for cutting cordage, making shavings, notches, divots, skinning, slicing, making fire, and all small knife outdoor tasks. This is an excellent high quality knife in a small package, I could find no flaws in it except for the tightness of the sheath.

The edges on all TOPS "scandi" knives do not terminate at primary grind planes intersection. There is always a microbevel, which can actually can be quite thick, it varies from one piece to another.
I've got one of these, I've had it for around 6 month's, and it has been an outstanding little "back up" camping knife, to my tops B.O.B! I agree with you hole heartedly, in regards to the urban applications of this little blade! WAJK... Thank you, again sir.
definitely a secondary bevel! that's why tops calls it a modified scandi grind!!
It actually does have a secondary bevel but it's quickly remedied
I actually have a Boker Plus Rambler with a stag handle that I use for cleaning game and it's my favorite knife. I'm really liking the Tops MSK 2.5 because of the Scandi grind. I may have to buy one.
Awesome, I have the regular Boker Rambler and as soon as the Stag version came out I wanted that one too, it's a small knife done right.
looks like such a sweet little blade. I must have this when my store gets it back in. nice review man
Great little knife - I have one hanging around my neck right now. Love it!
That bad boy seems like a sweet tool. Not much into the neck knives yet but maybe I should start paying more attention. I live in a state where they don't give a crap what you carry so less a concern for me but that doesn't mean I roll around with a Rambo knife either. Great vid as always man, keep it real
Cool knife! I really liked the white river knife you had there too
You sold me on it, love your blade reviews man!!!
I like this little knife. It's a side companion to my other full size fix blades. Take the top coating off so you can strike a flint lol
Hey Israel. How do you sharpen your knives? There seems to be so many different systems out there. Could you break down the advantages and disadvantages of the different systems including stones and maybe do a video demonstration??? It would seem to me that a Scandi grind would always be far superior to blades with secondary bevels, but I'd be very reluctant to try and sharpen it myself.
I ususally sharpen my scandi knives on ceramic bench stones from spyderco, works great! I actually find it easier to sharpen scandi knives than the other edge types I have. :)
i purchased the enzo knife you reviewed and I love the scandi grind...thanks
Complimenti,bel video.👍👍👍
Awwww, How cute... It might fit my hand better than some other knives I use. I don't know. I've kinda gotten use to using handles that are generally roomy for my grip.
KainusGulch It is definitely super cute. (Now no man shall buy one ever again).
Thanks for the review. Been looking at this 1 for awhile
Great blade! Love mine!
Ive found my fixed blade EDC. Ordering one now
Is this a first paper cut demo??woot woot!
Dont know if you'll see this but do you think this would work with a tek lok? If not what you you reccomend to use as a clip?
nice review like always, you should end every fixed blade review by throwing and sticking the knife
Say Heah Israel, lately I went from a 3knife carry, well I still do but I changed the look, Instead of knives I went with a saw and hatchet, lately I wanted to give my go to long knife a rest, so I got a new combo for the brambles in the bush I go in, Yup and you helped, I got the Potbelly and the Parangatang, then I started to take inventory as to which smaller knife I would use or get incase I need a smaller knife, I thought of my thinned down tan handle and polished Blind Horse Bushcrafter look's alot classier IMO than the regular handle and not polished, and I thought of my tan handle 3V Skookum Bush Tool, and my Tweeners (Beckers) which also came with tan handles, I have all three and changing one of them is a piece of cake, because most of my knives have black handles if I have a choice (G-10), and here around my neck was my answer (EDC), my M.S.K. with a Tan handle I won, so Yeah, the Potbelly is supposed to be a 1knife carry do (almost) all kind of knife, it does remind me of the Habilis Bush Tool except without a anvil front, well I'm sticking with the Top's Mini Scandi Knife, I still will neck carry it, and I think it should compliment my Potbelly and the Parangatang, I'm excited to give them a whirl.
What do you think of the Lansky World Legal knife?
Nice review...thanks !
Does anyone know if TOPS does a differential heat grind on ALL their blades?
I just might invest in this knife, much appreciated.
YourOwnDumbAss Excellent, glad you found something.
WeAllJuggleKnives You found it for me, lol. This will be a great neck knife for edc.
Are there any tricks to sharpen tops convex scandi grind?
Say Heah, Reporting a progress on the Top's Mini Scandi 2.5. I find it to be a Aqesome little knife, especially with fine carving..The size is similar to a folder, but I find its a stronger type of knife since it's a full tang and no weak spot at the joint. But the shape of the blade is a awesome to fine carve, Yeah, it makes a good divot and it's small enough where you can really get closer to the tip allowing alot of control without worrying that it will snap shut on your fingers, I'm really enjoying teaming it up with my Potbelly that I'm using as a 1knife option. Good review, Thanx. ,, ,,
Have you or anyone else reviewed the protool camp knives. Can't find any!!
new2survival I have been curious about that company's knife line also, but haven't tried any, except the Woodsmans Pal.
Are the handle scales removable?
but, how does it throw?
Get the Scandinavia trekker
Looks a lot sexier than the bob and cub.
Nice and sharp, I must have gotten a bad heat treatment on mine, it’s so dull and impossible to sharpen, I can sharpen anything except this msk neck knife
Love it going to by it asap !
Cool knife
I have this Mini Scandi Knive, and I use it as my EDC, works great, and it being a full tang, I prefer it over a slip joint, it's lite, and for its size, it's a pretty strong knife, very easy to wear, even under a t-shirt, I would recommend this knife to everybody, it is a very useful EDC knife too, even though I'm a 3-4 knife carry guy when I go into the bush, it's so lite, and it's around my neck, I don't know it's there, for instance, when I take my go to set, my Rodent Solution, Ratmandu, ( by the way Israel, I have the Ratmandu in the INFI Steel too, ) Rodent 9, if I take a 4knife carry, I just add my Rodent 7, the Rodent Solution is used akot, but simetimes, I need to do something more delicate, and your right Israel, it's great for making traps, but, I really luv wearing it as my EDC, and it's around my neck alot, take care, great video as usual, it is a very handy knife.
paulie 4x Awesome, I'd glad it has been performing so well for you!
Does this knife come without black coating?
Стефан Рачев No
Thanks for the quick responce!
Thats a pity...
Стефан Рачев the tops you tube channel shows it w/o the black top coating
I think I found a knife I wouldn't mind buying :)
Excuse my language but I like neck knives more than Napoleon liked pussy! Just joking. Yeah I knew it would be a great neck knife when I saw the thumbnail because bushcraft neck knives tend to be of high quality, very traditional and stronger than tactical neck knives to withstand hard use. Any chance you been watching the nozenuz channel here on TH-cam. I have been seen this knife on his channel lately.
Heat treat, NOT grind, can't type very well!
It's not good at cutting cardboard. Check out gideonstactical review.
888zzz Not good at cardboard? *Throws it in the garbage forever*
WeAllJuggleKnives RIGHT REPLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I prefer a true Scandinavian grind.
I prefer a true Scandinavian.
to much blade
Seems to be a micro bevel
Stabby stabby stabby every three seconds Aaahhhh it got on my nerves for some reason. Love the knife though, and appreciate the comparisons you had available.
Thanks, sometimes I just gotta stab
AWE......NECK KNIFE. WHY NOT A NORMAL PERSONS KNIFE? GAWD. I'LL KEEP LOOKING.
Sure looks like there's a micro bevel on that guy
why do you call yourself israel? like the country which i live in?
lol
omri weinblat Yes sir, it is a Filipino name, too, so I do not live in your country.
oh cool bro
lol
What do you think of the Lansky World Legal knife?
cosmicmousse You don't want to know LOL.
WeAllJuggleKnives
oh, it's just that I'm looking for a UK legal EDC knife and it seems to be the best I've found so far that I can afford.
