    Would like this with the Riverwash and any of the handle offerings. Personally I do think the Riverwash make the knives more appealing.

    Hi Craig, great to see you! The MSK SURVIVAL knife looks like a winner. Although it is smaller than I thought it would be, and I didn't realize it was a neck knife when I first clicked the video. I expected the blade to be at least 4-inches long instead of only 3-inches.

      @TOPSKnivesofficial  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Muskrat Jim Check out our Scandi Trekker. It's got the same handle and blade shape, buts it's a 3.5 inch blade instead.

    Do these sharpen like traditional Scandi knives or like a saber ground knives? What is recommended to use to sharpen them?

    • @TOPSKnivesofficial
      @TOPSKnivesofficial  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      We do a modified Scandi Grind, so there is a secondary bevel. As far as sharpening goes, we recommend using what you're comfortable using. It just takes a little practice to find the angle of the final edge on these.

    On my MSK, there are these random small blotches formed on the blade. It doesn't seem like a rust spots (if so, maybe minor rusting?)... but it's definitely noticeable. Although these arn't affecting the primary edge, I'd like to remove them if possible.
    I been using the Aegis Everyday Rust Prevention Solution (after the spots formed... I know...) and it's doing it's job of preventing any new spots to form... but apparently it does not remove the spots formed already. I guess I will give the other version of this product that claims to be heavy-duty (compared to the everyday version). Does anyone have any tips on removing these spots? I don't even know it's rust spots or maybe oxidation spots... (I never had such spots formed on other steels, so this is fairly new for me). Is the type of steel used for this knife succeptable to oxidization?

      Seventh Seal haha, no sir. These two knives would make an excellent combination and look great together too.

    Say Heah, Yeah, It is so comfortable that I actually forget I'm wearing it. One day I decided to see if I could use just a large knife as a 1knife carry, I didn't plan it this way, but it had a Tan handle, anyhow I was surprised how well it worked. Murphy ' s Law went into affect and it started to drizzle, By this time I was getting a little hungry, but I decided to build me a tarp shelter which I put together kind if fast, The knife I was using made some feathersticks, but I knew I needed finer ones to start a fire in the wet. Boy, all of a sudden I got pretty happy, I remembered I had my Top's Mini Scandi 2.5 Knife around my neck, true story, I had to make a few if them, but I got a fire going, Thanx, Top's, I usually like to pouch wear my Camillus Silver Sword #836, but since then, I also change and wear the M.S.K. when I'm not wearing my other knivds, It is a very comfortable, but a very good functioning knife that's more knife than it looks, , ,
