In situations like this, I use serrated flange nuts and bolts. You usually don't need a wrench to hold the head (with clean new fasteners) and you can impact them right on.
Looked like more tire out the passenger side fender but you moved the camera to fast for a good look. Got to say you know your 4x4 stuff real good. Like to see it in the sun slower camera movement but to see how you knew what was wrong right off I bet it is done right.
i luaghed my ass off about the control arms.. i actually have the same truss and long arms, and did the truss before hand.. truss is together like the instructions says, but its a absolute pita to put the control arms on. think it has to do with how much bigger the axle is, so distance is off... plus its a tj swap truss not a xj swap truss, which means the upper mounts angle is off by a few degrees
@@Grewsum2Sum nice, I ended up getting a rip off Amazon one, but seems pretty stout, made outa like 1/4” plate... think I saw ya in the boosted 4.0 page on Facebook not to long ago 🤣 saw you comment and was like wait a second 🤣

Genuinely enjoyed watching you beat the head of that bolt with the square tubing
If it's the closest thing around why not
Also, that was a peice of wood lol not steel sadly
Thanks for sharing! I bought my daughter a similar XJ done half a$$. Great build, I hope you don't mind I'm gonna steal some of your MODs. 😉
Now that’s using your head so to speak, holding the camera in your mouth. I even subscribed for that. lol
Hf icon snap ring plier set is your best bang for your buck and will reach in there no problem I had to get the set for this exact reason
Lots of work done to that XJ. Stiffeners next?
Looks good..

Where u located? U seem to know ALOT about xjs
North jersey
How the HELL did a one ton axle fit under the rear of this thing without cutting it all apart?
We put tons in every jeep we have lol never had that issue
@@Grewsum2Sum what shock length do you use? Seems like every one I see cuts the entire back end apart and makes new wheel wells.
Boostwerks shock towers, cut a section out of the wheelwell stick em in there and weld up closed. Then choose the shock of your liking
Grewsum 2Sum thats about the only other option I could think of. Not many choices to fitting 38” or larger tires in there.
@@runningproblem i have 40s on my jeep with only 4.5 inches of lift
nice
