I hoped that upon learning of the atrocities committed by the Titans, kou would steal the gp 03 Dendrobium, if they had it stored on earth, and fight on the side of the A.E.U.G against the Titans.
He got Nina in the end and that's all he wanted. He was sick of the fighting. Don't know if I can agree though. I'd rather join the Titans than have Gato's sloppy seconds....

him and his soldiers. gives me a mixture of epicness and sadness. but the sadness of his death wins. He only managed to take out a few enemies before dying, he was already very injured, his MS was very damaged and he was unable to dodge the shots properly, but he and his companions did what was possible and impossible in those last moments. For me it is very sad that they end up dying like this. they gained a place in my heart

Funnily enough, I do think Stardust actually killed the Federation-- just not immedeatly. It ended Earth's ability to feed itself, forcing it to rely on the colonies, and once the Titans grip on space fell... Well, you saw to what lengths the Feddies were going to with the starvation problem in ZZ.
Reminder: 0083 had two different directors. That's why the 2nd half of 0083 feels so different from the 1st half, and why the Nina love plot came out of nowhere.
In retrospect, the GP03D is a bad match for the Neue Ziel. The Dendrobium's main strength is to overwhelm a group with sheer firepower in a blitzkrieg style to wipe them out immediately and move on to the next target and not engage in a one-on-one ship killing where the Neue Ziel excels. That's why most of the Dendrobium's weapons are forward-oriented
On the other hand, most of the Neue Ziel's armaments are beam-based and thus blocked by the Gp03D's I-field so it's kind of an asymmetrical match-up both ways.
The Dendrobium was meant to attack colonies and fleets, not other mobile Armors. The Neue Ziel is from the Axis faction, so it is made to fight other Mobile Armors and Mobile Suits.
I'd say they can all blame Jared for putting Kamille on the war path of destroying the Titans but the guy with the mustache would've said the same thing to Kamille
Makes you wonder if the Delaz Fleet never succeeded with Operation Stardust and the colony was not dropped, would we still get the Zeta Gundam series (UC timeline wise) or would it change dramatically (i.e. no Titans or AEUG)
I know this is a late response, history would change dramatically as well as the development of MS but the emergence of Cyber-Newtypes would either be delayed or they wouldn't exist. Gato and the rest of the Zeon Remnants would be able to take refuge in Axis perhaps others would still conduct in guerilla warfare or resort to piracy in order to survive and reinforce Axis itself, Char Aznable would still be in hiding
TITANS will still exist because the whole Operation Stardust was planned by both Federation and Anaheim If they dont have Delaz, they will make something else to make the threat of Zeon Remnants exist.
A lot would have changed, but even if the Titans as we know them hadn’t happened, Jamitov would have latched onto another opportunity since he basically wanted to slowly take over the Federation.

Later half of the suffering and federation descent into brutality can attributed to his pointless zealotry to continuing the OYW left off. @@Ozraptor4 My sincerest thanks, i looked at this video and was astounded by the fact that the beginning soundtrack sounded so similar to the Hateful Eight one by Tarantino (the soundtrack is by Morricone) in one of the final scenes (i don't know if you've seen it so i will just say that it is a short slow motion scene). I suppose Morricone cited himself in the Hateful Eight since it's his own soundtrack, but at first i couldn't understand what was happening because Gundam 0083 was way before than The Hateful Eight and i refused to think that Morricone plagiarised Gundam 0083.
This series gave me trust issues haha. Everyone gets double crossed one way or another. I don't recall this song in the ending during Uraki's trial and establishment of the Titans.
I'd imagine a lot of the more centrist and utopian leaders of the Federation died during Gato's strike on the Naval Review at Solomon. Thus leading to hard liners and fascists like Bask Om and Jomitov to take control.
The colony drop ironically eventually caused more problems for the Federation than the Colonies, because it rendered Earth unable to feed itself. So they ended up having to rely on the colonies.
He wasnt the only charged, the captain was sentenced to death for assisting the steal of the gp03 meanwhile nina whos indirectly responsible for the colony fall never got punished for her actions
In the manga version which came out recently, Nina never came back to earth and stay in Anaheim creating more and more MS, Kou after released came back to the military met with Keith and Mora but no Nina to be found, side note, Nina in the manga is MUCH MORE FUCK UP than in the OVA
It would be so badass to have the rebellion Manga be made into episodes or a few ovas It basically made the Anime make sense (the backroom deals, the false flags, and all the holes in the backstory of Cima)
WTF is Nina Purpleton showing so much shock that the colony dropped?! She was there when Gato set the thing on its crash course, deliberately choosing to support the terrorist and obstructing Uraki's duties.
So many questions at the end of this series: What happened to the GP-03? Remodeled? Re-purposed? Scrapped? What did Ko say to Nina at their reunion? Did Ko join the Titans? Or The AEUG possibly? Stuff like that.
According to what I have seen throughout gundam it would seem that the GP-03 would be decommissioned, it is still Anaheims property after all other than that the combat data is catalogued and any innovations in the GP project would soon be applied to future mobile suits, most notably though data of the dendrobium would actually fall in the hands of Paptimus Siroccos Jupitris to be further developed for his future flagship mobile suit the Overon Gundam and its mobile armor of which he wasn't able to use because if you have seen Zeta he died quite hilariously, nonetheless it is explored in the Walpurgis gundam which takes place after zeta and before double zeta that Paptimus was indeed resurrected from the dead albeit not in conventional means because his newtype spirit simply possessed one of the many artificial newtype clones he made and its not impossible considering cloning was a popular means of conducting experiments during this era, take the LP puru clones for example and most recently Peche Montagnes clone from the gundam engage side story, also taking place in the zeta era

Sunrise decided to replace director after episode 6, and things gotten out of the hand. Nina became total stranger at that point.

"The Naval Review" is "The Year of Jubilee" from the Glory Soundtrack, also by James Horner. "Rising OP. Stardust" and "Hidden Moon" are Jay Chattaway tracks from Invasion U.S.A. "Mau Cima" is Pino Donaggio's is "China's Arrival at Harem" from The Barbarians. "Solar System" is Ennio Morricone's "The Crater" from The Thing. "Ambush" is David Shire's "Space Linkup" from 2010: The Year we Make Contact"... plus there are numerous other unnamed tracks that are also directly lifted from western films.
@@Ozraptor4 My sincerest thanks, i looked at this video and was astounded by the fact that the beginning soundtrack sounded so similar to the Hateful Eight one by Tarantino (the soundtrack is by Morricone) in one of the final scenes (i don't know if you've seen it so i will just say that it is a short slow motion scene). I suppose Morricone cited himself in the Hateful Eight since it's his own soundtrack, but at first i couldn't understand what was happening because Gundam 0083 was way before than The Hateful Eight and i refused to think that Morricone plagiarised Gundam 0083.

This series gave me trust issues haha. Everyone gets double crossed one way or another. I don't recall this song in the ending during Uraki's trial and establishment of the Titans.

I'd imagine a lot of the more centrist and utopian leaders of the Federation died during Gato's strike on the Naval Review at Solomon. Thus leading to hard liners and fascists like Bask Om and Jomitov to take control.
The colony drop ironically eventually caused more problems for the Federation than the Colonies, because it rendered Earth unable to feed itself. So they ended up having to rely on the colonies.
The one thing that confuses me is what were the charges for Kou Uraki? Why was he the only to be charged?
Stealing the Unit 03 and of course being a scapegoat for the failure.

In the manga version which came out recently, Nina never came back to earth and stay in Anaheim creating more and more MS,
Kou after released came back to the military met with Keith and Mora but no Nina to be found,

So many questions at the end of this series: What happened to the GP-03? Remodeled? Re-purposed? Scrapped? What did Ko say to Nina at their reunion? Did Ko join the Titans? Or The AEUG possibly? Stuff like that.
According to what I have seen throughout gundam it would seem that the GP-03 would be decommissioned, it is still Anaheims property after all other than that the combat data is catalogued and any innovations in the GP project would soon be applied to future mobile suits, most notably though data of the dendrobium would actually fall in the hands of Paptimus Siroccos Jupitris to be further developed for his future flagship mobile suit the Overon Gundam and its mobile armor of which he wasn't able to use because if you have seen Zeta he died quite hilariously, nonetheless it is explored in the Walpurgis gundam which takes place after zeta and before double zeta that Paptimus was indeed resurrected from the dead albeit not in conventional means because his newtype spirit simply possessed one of the many artificial newtype clones he made and its not impossible considering cloning was a popular means of conducting experiments during this era, take the LP puru clones for example and most recently Peche Montagnes clone from the gundam engage side story, also taking place in the zeta era
