    i'm a designer in film, often doing sci-fi vehicle concepts (mostly turning cars into cop cars, actually) and this collection is fantastic. To my mind, Batman has the coolest vehicles, reckon if Adam West were here he'd back me up on that.

    I don't know about you but I started adding "must watch movies" to my streaming list JUST so I can see some of these cars in action. Thank goodness for the titles or it wold be as embarrassing as seeing someone at a party that you recognize but you just can't seem to remember their name. Cool collection and great stroll down movie memory lane.

      @HotRodHippie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad to help out with the nostalgia and growth of the "must watch" list. I knew seeing these some of them gave me that feeling so I made sure to note as many of them as I could for the notation purposes. Glad you appreciated it.

    That was a great video, Alan! I'm sure it took a bit of time to edit and add in the mini write-ups about the cars but I really appreciate that aspect of the video. It helped during those moments of "what the heck was that car in"....
    It's hard to single out favorite cars from so many great ones (even if some were reproductions).
    Hope your flu/cold didn't get too bad.

    Death race 2000 Frankenstein's corvette did not have a 6-71 blower on it. GAWD I wish it did. It also had slot mag wheels if they are going to do a movie car do it correctly. most of the cars wer VWs with fiberglass custom bodies in that movie. The one I liked was the studebaker in the show. I did enjoy your video. I wish they would have the corvette summer vet there keep in mind the the vet was right hand drivel

    • @HotRodHippie
      @HotRodHippie  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, this car is not one of the original five Barris built cars. It is not on the Museum website anymore but I absolutely looked into it before listing it as a Replica. The placard at the museum listed it as a replica, as did their website (it doesn’t seem to be on there anymore however).
      It went up for auction in 2018, and Sotheby’s listed it as “possibly” #6. Never used in the show/movie, used for promotional uses, and not built by Barris. rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/ca18/the-petersen-automotive-museum-auction/lots/r0031-1966-batmobile-recreation/728578

    If you're going to advertise movie cars, stick to movie cars & ditch the trance music.

    • @HotRodHippie
      @HotRodHippie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'd prefer a dead silent video? There are plenty of shaky GoPro videos with no music to be found, sorry I put in more effort than that. The music is mostly rather subdued Synthwave music, of a style reminiscent of some of the movies that featured these cars. Trance is a far different thing.
