... thanks Tony Miller for this great video tour. I visited many times the petersen museum in the past. Rod & Customs are a part of my livestyle, and when I´m in California to visit friends and car shows , "the petersen" is always on my "to do list". Many greetings out of Frankfurt, Germany, ... Matt.

The hotrod xr6 was built by my grandpa Le Roi “Tex” Smith!!!!!! That means the WORLD to me knowing that one of his hotrods is safe and there for all to enjoy!!!!! One day I need to come to the vault to see it with my own eyes and to remember what a legacy my grandpa was to the hotrod community!!!!!

Sorry to hear of Tony's passing. A must listen, just for some of his gems. When talking about the lack of performance of one of the cars, he casually says "it might have a struggle pulling the skin of off pudding..." lol. Rest in peace Tony and have fun trading stories with all the great automotive designers and innovators whose creations you educated the masses about for years.

Did the vault tour exactly 1 year ago today, after landing in LA from Oz & driving directly there. My head was spinning like a top at all the cars I’d seen in magazines, & then there were more that I didn’t know of, but were equally amazing. And then there was upstairs!!!!!!😱 If you’re into cars, this is one of the meccas👌🏼 Can’t recommend it highly enough, & the docents, like Tony, are sooooo incredibly knowledgeable & humble🙏🏻
    Thanks Petersen’s 👌🏼

Thanks for the tour, so many names and cars that I remember from my youth. L’il John was the guy who for me, personally was responsible for venturing into Street/Hot Rodding along with Pete & Jake. Fast forward to today, almost 70 years old and I still have the bug. Currently it’s a fender less Washington Blue ‘32 Ford 3 window coupe done in a forties style. How fortunate some of us have been to experience & share in some of the finest years of the internal combustion engine.
    Thanks again from England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿.
