  • In this video I have a look at a customers 2004 Chevrolet 1500 that has a complaint of "running hot and no power." Doesn't take long to discover it is completely out of coolant. A $0.99 part sure can cause a lot of troubles down the road.

This is one video I can finally agree on the ending, if I can do it, you can do it! Hose clamp and couple jugs of coolant from Napa (notasponsor), seems easy enough 😀😃

At SMA we have two classes of vehicles: Those with and without good frames. Only those with good frames are worthy enough to be given the special lift treatment.

I've worked in too many shops here in upstate ny that you find a rusted pinch clamp, tell the service manager its just a rusted clamp, and next thing you know there's a new radiator to put in. I hated that bs, thus why I don't work for said shops anymore.

In all my time of working on cars, I have only seen 1 of those metal clamps rust out. The was on a police car from the great state of NY. I have NEVER seen cars as rusty as NY cars. Michigan uses a bunch of salt, BUT NY must just dump it on like its free.
