    What other trails do you think should be on this list that create as much "Stoke" as these 3 trails?

    • @laderamtb3684
      @laderamtb3684 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I’d put the luge on the list.

    • @MTBMOR
      @MTBMOR  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@laderamtb3684 Luge is one of my favorites, but I think it's a bit too much for some people to get out and ride.

    • @MTBr-of-SoCal
      @MTBr-of-SoCal 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      5 Oak & Rock-It in Aliso for me. Luge is also great but getting there is a freakin' job!

      @@MTBr-of-SoCal All good trails for sure. The rock garden on rockit is a bit much for some, but otherwise that trail is really fun for many. Thanks for the comment

    I’m new to OC and have only ridden Waterworks so far. I appreciate this video.

      My pleasure. Please don't hesitate to ask questions. I've made videos for most of the main trails in the area.

    Thank you. I am 70 and usually ride XC type trail Siskyu D7 at Puddingstone/Bonelli in Pomona/San Dimas area. I will have to get down to OC.

    Great Video. I never thought of closeness to the trailhead as being a factor in how good a trail is.

    • @MTBMOR
      @MTBMOR  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the closer it is the more people ride it and the more total joy it will bring. For many of us the closeness means crowd so it can also be seen as a negative. Thanks for the comment.

    I haven't tried waterworks, looks fun...good trail choices

    • @MTBMOR
      @MTBMOR  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's simple and easy, but the jumps and berms can make it fun for the more advanced rider. There's an even bigger jump I didn't show because you have to come from another trail or do a hike a bike. Then, you can hit the rest of the trails right there.

  • @MTBr-of-SoCal
    @MTBr-of-SoCal 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hahaha! Love the commentary. Now gotta hit some of these.

    • @MTBMOR
      @MTBMOR  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      And I need to go hit 5 Oaks....It's been too long since I've ridden it. I just don't like the hike a bike to get there.

    2. Luge
    3. Chutes Ridgeline

      Awesome, let me know what you think. These trails are ridable by almost everyone. If you want better trails that need more skills let me know. Of course we have to wait for the rains to stop. Waterworks will dry faster then most trails, but I'm sure it's flooded right now.

    Thanks for the video. You mentioned a few times, "We might see some hikers..." Have you considered wearing a bell to alert other trail users that you are coming...around that blind corner?

    • @MTBMOR
      @MTBMOR  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I ride with the Timber Bell. I've broken a few in crashes and replace them because I believe in them so much. Videos don't sound very good with the bell ringing so I try to keep it off when filming. Thanks for the comment.

    "Best" trails, ehh?? Yeah, well, that's just like, your OPINION, man! ;-) Very cool video. I'd say Lizard is another very stoke inducing trail.

    • @MTBMOR
      @MTBMOR  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lizards is definitely a good trail. What do you think of Lizards after the county worked on it? I can't decide if it's better or worse....Thanks for the comment.

      @@MTBMOR To be honest, I hadn't really noticed much! As long as they don't remove the jumps and tame the rock gardens, etc. I'm good with trail maintenance. I wish the county would add more wooden features, haha! ;-D

    You definitetly got that double on waterworks that you skip in the beginning. You should try hitting it and land to the side until you feel confident going for it. Just careful in not going dead sailor trying turn and set up for that jump, but you definitely got it.

    I'll bet you will get a lot of opinions on "Best." I think what you mean is "Best Bang for Buck" trails. I think we are spoiled here and there are quite a few depending on your skill level and time available to ride. Water Works is all around a gem in OC and Aliso has something for everyone. I still gotta make it down to SC, just too stuck in my local rut with my usual crew to get down there. Yew!!🤘

    • @MTBMOR
      @MTBMOR  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We are spoiled here. I sometimes psycho myself out because there are so many choices. It seems like many people prefer the rockier trails and there are many times I prefer them too. Since you don't make it down to SC, what would you put on this list?

    • @MacGyverDad
      @MacGyverDad 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MTBMOR we ride a lot of the same spots and I’m not super picky, I’m always happy to be on a bike. What I like to ride often depends on the temperature (hot or cold), what my cardio condition is in, and what I have to do when I get home from riding 😆

    What kind of bike are you riding?

    • @MTBMOR
      @MTBMOR  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have several different bikes. From a 170/170 Full Enduro to a 100/100 XC race bike. For most of these trails a trail bike would be best ( something with around 130 mm travel) but I can ride these on any of my bikes. Depending on my mood, I'd grab my Canyon Trail Lux or Trek Slash for these.
