Dude, watching Phil absolutely wreck trails is one of the reason's I bought NOBL's. They are bomb proof, I have had so many big impacts and square edge hits and they don't flinch. They stay true to boot!
my glutes and quads are screaming from my couch as I braced for each landing, turn, and gap -- not too mention my lungs from holding my breath for 15 minutes. Epic rip down!
Man, I was watching that and felt my head going from side to side, just like watching the bobsled at the Winter Olympics! Dude, I have been subbed to your channel for about 7 years now and your riding is always fun to watch. Been out of riding the last 2 years... life got in the way a bit but I am getting my mojo back to riding. Ordered a new bike and have been binging on my riders I've subbed to over the years. Thanks for your inspiration! I'm 51 this year but never felt more like a kid watching this stuff, so cool.
I don't know if I blinked throughout this entire video. Dude... how do you not lose it going through those trees and rocky terrain. I mean.. damn this is sick riding.
This type of video may not perform as well as others, but I miss this type of video from the TH-camr riders. Just nice quality footage of solid runs. I would love to see more single run videos for the sounds, commentary, and beautiful scenery. Thanks for this one!
@@SkillsWithPhil Back in the 90's, I'd ride my GT LTS (full suspension - Back spring and front Rock shock with 2 inches of travel! 🤣) down fireroads like that at Stevens Pass (Washington) and that bike was a glorified 10 speed (with 24 gears) with my head over the bars! Just waiting for a OTB moment. I'm STILL riding it now but upgrading to a bike made in the 2020's now so I should do better!
Thank you so much for posting this! My 6 & 7 year olds have been watching every one of your videos for a few years now, and we were at the top of Whistler today, watched people start riding down, saw riders under our gondola on the way down, and watched people ending at the bottom. This video was great for our kids to see what that all looks like from your point of view, and then see you ride up almost next to our hotel.. they really enjoyed seeing this, knowing you and Nick were here only a short time ago. Keep posting great varieties of videos!
Just by happenstance, I started watching this video with about 20 minutes before I needed to leave for a meeting. I honestly didn't look at the length of the video before I started watching it (but Phil's videos are usually about that long so I thought I'd be safe). It was great to experience nearly the same "time anxiety" as Phil did. It certainly made watching the video that much more fun! Keep up the good work Phil!
I loved the race against the clock format of this video. Great example of how a slightly different concept for a riding video can be super compelling. Not to mention the way you sped through some of those completely blown out tech trails...
Phil, I watch hundreds of mtb videos. I’ve been riding hard for over 40 years. (Santa Cruz native). From just this video, you might be one of the smoothest and maybe fastest riders I’ve ever seen. Thank you. Liked, subscribed, shared and all notifications. Ok, time to watch more!
Im missing all the whistler content on TH-cam i wanna go back so badly. Phil you are always the most impressive to watch on TH-cam man your pov is always insane and somehow surpasses the gopro effect.
Honestly i could not believe that we only waited ~36 minutes given how long the line looked. Oddly enough, i dont mind waiting. Talking to people in the lift line is enjoyable
I hesitate to call it this, but this an interesting concept for a video. It was borne by necessity, but it really worked. Great riding, Phil. I had just watched Nic's video with his ride over through Whistler to the contest, so this was interesting..
The stamina needed to do a full pull down the whole mountain is crazy! We started down from the 2nd gondola, and went down easier trails than you did, and I was so gassed out that I had to stop a few times. For me the hard part was the g-forces in the berms, it makes you feel like you weigh twice as much. I rented a Commencal full DH bike with 200mm travel and no dropper post, and I quickly realized I wasn't conditioned to stand up going downhill for 20+ min straight.
Dude you killed that run you were flying down the hill I just went out riding for my very first time ever….i got beat up and scratched up but it was the most fun I’ve ever had definitely gonna try it again…awesome videos 👍👌
Coming from a motocross background (20 min from RedBud) I am amazed what these MTB's can do in the hands of riders like Phil. Would be like coming down with Eli Tomac smh. Thanks for the great vids.
This is what they meant when they coined the phrase "break neck speeds". Holy crap you are amazing man. I was watching this and swaying my body back and forth as if I was on that bike along with you LOL. I'd love to know how fast in Mph you were going down that one fire road too.
Fuck got all stressed watching that 😂 Then arrive and not even sweating 😵💫 You’re an amazing rider to watch, love the videos, they all make me wanna ride and push even more 👌🙏 Looks so “easy” great flow with that crazy speed
12:39 I crashed doing that exact same thing after a run my bars turned and I slid for almost 30 feet on my head and shoulder with no padding. Had to get a new helmet and had horrible road rash so I don’t do that anymore haha
Phil is narrating his descent and just having a conversation with his followers while bombing the trail, meanwhile the only conversation I'd be having is with God pleading with him to get me down to the bottom unharmed! Nice work.
I'm usually really good about being punctual when I agree on a time but I really underestimated how long the upper half of the gondola ride took. I was super relieved to find out out i wasn't the last person at the booth!
Me here, sitting in Florida, where the best “downhill” we have is at Mount Dora. lol. Which is like 100 feet of drop. lol I plan on driving to Jarrod’s place in Georgia soon.
I love that the struggle to get to work on time during rush hour is a universal reality in all jobs
There's a certain Ludacris song that fits these moments
I want to like this but I don't want to mess it up lol. IYKYK
Phil coming to the Nobl booth like he hasn't just absolutely rampaged their wheelset. True testament to how good these rims are.
Haha, Traversing the village was the hardest part of the journey!

I was whole assed leaning back and forth there at the end
The bottom half of the lap when you were really able to open up was some of the most impressive riding I've seen. Soooo insanely fast!
He looks stupid fast to me!!
This video is a great reminder of how amazing your abilities really are.
I don't know if I blinked throughout this entire video. Dude... how do you not lose it going through those trees and rocky terrain. I mean.. damn this is sick riding.

Totally blew by that guy on the fire road when he probably thought he was cruising! You are seriously CRAZY fast!!
That fireroad is soooo sketchy- kind of wish i had a speedometer on me

Glad you folks enjoyed it, Whistler is top notch.
When your the fastest on the trail and nobody can touch you then you get past by Phil doing Mach F$%@🤣🤣
Man you freaking flying!!
Oh man. I swear, I was on the edge of my seat for that amazing ride. You are one crazy dude.

This has to be my favorite video of yours. It had me on the edge of the seat more then the latest movies.
WoW Phil, fantastic run... You can shred like crazy when you're late.. Thanks for uploading... Great run man!
One of the more fun vids to watch. Top to bottom, just GO!
Thanks greg :)
That rocky section was GNARLY

These videos really keep me interested in cycling again after not riding for over 3years. When that bike finally comes, definitely going to let loose😁
Falling down like a rolling stone - great and scary at the same time
that was a freaking race run. unbelievable
Im missing all the whistler content on TH-cam i wanna go back so badly. Phil you are always the most impressive to watch on TH-cam man your pov is always insane and somehow surpasses the gopro effect.
“We’ve waited in line at Highland for longer” such sad, true words 😢😂
Honestly i could not believe that we only waited ~36 minutes given how long the line looked. Oddly enough, i dont mind waiting. Talking to people in the lift line is enjoyable
Phil is a lot faster than most people think, camera really doesn’t do justice, next trip you need to come down and tour Arkansas 🔥💯🇺🇸
Mtb prodigy is back lol
It definitely DOES do it justice. He was FLYING DOWN
lol everyone knows Phil rips.
He's one of the only YTers who can actually ride proper dh.
Did Arkansas ever build any mountains to go with all those Wal-Mart trails?
I'll get down there eventually, as a rider its not #1 on my bucket list but as a trail builder I'm very intrigued with some of the things I've seen
good god I know you're fast but this was damn impressive!
🔥Phil's Whistler Vids are always so EPIC. But this one is on an entirely different level! 🔥
Watching you go this fast is so entertaining and thrilling. Great vid
Love how busy u r and how u r making fun out of it
EXCELLENT CONTROL AND MANEUVERABILITY AT SPEED
What a stamina,... and what a crazy skilled rider you are!! RESPECT!!
Awesome ride🙌thanks for the raw full edit💯💪

“Holy f*ck” count 12. “Oh my god” count 15. That a-line piece at the end really freaked me out! Damn, what a great rider!
Bro a camera never does the Justice of how fast and how well Phil actually rides. Keep up the hard work!
Sick .... you could really 'feel' that time pressure in this one ......
Dude you killed that run you were flying down the hill
I just went out riding for my very first time ever….i got beat up and scratched up but it was the most fun I’ve ever had definitely gonna try it again…awesome videos 👍👌
That was sick. The timing gave it a great narrative. Almost watched like Fabio Wibmer video!
Duuuuuuude, that was bookin 📕! Fire 🔥 run. Bonus that you made it in time!
Coming from a motocross background (20 min from RedBud) I am amazed what these MTB's can do in the hands of riders like Phil. Would be like coming down with Eli Tomac smh. Thanks for the great vids.

The level of fitness is impressive.
I see Phil risking life and limb to be a judge for a contest. Phil,” Just another day riding Whistler”!!!
Beast mode! Phil is so fast
Like a BOSS!!!....still got that downhill mojo phil
Well that's impressive. Thank you for the free entertainment
Insane speed Phil!! 😱🔥👀

Awesome stuff, new sub! Man, you make that look so easy!
Dude you are unreal people don't realize how hard this is.

Haha, Glad i kept you on edge!
Fuck got all stressed watching that 😂 Then arrive and not even sweating 😵💫 You’re an amazing rider to watch, love the videos, they all make me wanna ride and push even more 👌🙏 Looks so “easy” great flow with that crazy speed
When you cut into A Line, I definitely clenched up a couple of times. You were ripping through that section.
absolutely beatiful forest
What a beautiful trail
12:39 I crashed doing that exact same thing after a run my bars turned and I slid for almost 30 feet on my head and shoulder with no padding. Had to get a new helmet and had horrible road rash so I don’t do that anymore haha
Slow Clap sir... that was insane!!!
NICE Phil! One of your best videos in a while.
Wow, thanks!
Holy shit you are fast!!!!😮😮 Awesome riding!!
That's a redemption rip, go Phil!
After all the hauling ass and no Phil giggles, we need the Phil giggles!
phil there needs to be some edit of you made because going down these insanley difficult trails at very very high speeds is just mind blowing
Absolutely flying
Phil is narrating his descent and just having a conversation with his followers while bombing the trail, meanwhile the only conversation I'd be having is with God pleading with him to get me down to the bottom unharmed! Nice work.
How fast can we go? Phil: YES !
You are a sick rider Dude.
What a savage 🫡
I got second-hand adrenaline from watching this.
The terrifying speeds you do on access roads/loose gravel and rock just baffles me Phil.
That gravel road is rowdy!
Dudes in good shape damn
So sick!!!
OMG Phil! Killin It!!
Phil in a rush?! Watch out people!
Oh yeah, the tell tales of flowy boy!
haha when you got mad at those dudes for dropping in but they ended up absolutely ripping
I just felt really awkward sneaking into the middle of their train, i didn't want to be that guy.
Watching this is like Yoga!👍

Incredible skill and pace across such varied trails…! Amazing to watch Phil 👌🏼
