One of my teachers in college (Denmark Tech in Denmark, SC), gave us an assignment, where we had to choose a subject and try to persuade our class mates into liking it. It was to show how persuasion is a powerful tool, and then started talking about how much of a genius Hitler was, not because of WHAT he did, but because his ability of persuasion was so amazing that he was able to do what he did. If Hitler used that ability for good, who knows what he could have accomplish. I learned that a lot of people idolize hitler for what he was able to do, not what he did....If that makes sense.

@@woobiefuntime There's a difference between not caring about someone's views on taxes and guns and not caring that your partner shares the same views as a man who believes in racial superiority and is responsible for the deaths of millions of people. That's beyond politics at that point, this is about human decency. Also, you're not a good person if you're racist. Good people don't think that other people are inferior for having a different skin color. Good people don't think it's ok to treat people differently because they have a different skin color. The fact that you knowingly dated a racist person for years reflects poorly on you too. People who tolerate intolerance are part of the problem. I genuinely believe that people who're apathetic to racism are just as bad as the people who're actually racist because you people are enablers. It's true that not everyone cares about politics, but most apolitical people still wouldn't wanna associate with neo nazis.

I prefer the one I got that has metal rings and a strong core material. Pure leather strips just end up stretching so, even if you don't create many holes, it looks bad. His belts just didn't look that great for everyday use.

And lol you can get ANYTHING off Amazon or AliExpress, patent infringing or not! You think the fucking Chinese factories give a flying shit about American patents? That'd be a HELL THE FUCK NO! Assuming something is no longer under patent simply because you can buy a knock-off on Amazon is absolutely idiotic.
And even if the core technology actually IS no longer under patent, they were still the first company to successfully market and sell the idea on a broad scale. 🤷 Those kinds of belts simply weren't a well-known "thing" in the West until THEY started selling them in major retailers. i listened to that end bit again. it sounds like this dude's lawyers really pooped the bed by not having the plea deal solidified before they appeared in court. they also didnt do their diligence on the likelihood of the judge to pull that maneuver on them (its not like judges suddenly make decisions like this - they have tendencies and track records of what they tend to decide) . It sounds like they came to an agreement with prosecution but didn't make sure that the deal was viable.
(I was actually wondering if the prosecution pulled a crazy maneuver where they snookered the defense into agreeing to one deal while knowing the judge would basically veto it and then assign their own version of justice. I don't think they did, but it crossed my mind)

I blame the ex-wives for this too! They divorced their husbands and ignored the red flags. If they would've just stuck with their original husbands till death do us part like marriage is supposed to be, they wouldn't have gotten into relationships with that scammer.
