    Anthony Gignac AKA Prince Khalid Bin al-Saud of Saudi Arabia spent the majority of his life lying about who he was. From an orphan fighting for survival on the streets of Colombia to dining with billionaires, like Jeffrey Soffer, in the world's most exclusive destinations -- Anthony's story is truly wild. He fooled successful business people, lawyers, and bankers and somehow got away with running his scam for decades.

Who may also got rich... Everytime he was released.. He would have to pay these guys in the law to cover his tracks. For another scam.. As, long as there was no way the law guys who helped him... Would get into trouble themselves... So my point is. Be it the cops. Be it the hotels.. Shops. Airports... American express credit... I'm sure... Some calls were made from them to law guys... As reference and they should have covered him... If not I will never believe anybody. Even Banks will issue cards. That too 200 Million limit... It only means some people at some levels of influence be it rich scamster businessmen... Cops. Etc. Did help him... Until it got out of control...

    Oh boy... I grew up in foster care and orphanages after when I was 4 my biological mother kicked me and my then 13yr old sister out, my biological father took us in and child services took me out of there. Until today the worst thing I did was one count of driving a scooter without an licence and being in an accident that wasn't my fault. I felt SO bad, I never drove again and never got a license.
    But I still feel very sorry for that boy- not the man he became, but the boy he was. Living even in loving foster care is hard if others let you know you dont belong there and foster parents often can't make up for that feeling of being in the wrong place, the wrong life really.

    • @monkeynews8311

      Are the romance scams convincing though or are they just targeting vulnerable people who are desperate and therefor more likely to believe them? The vast majority of these scams I've heard or read about are not really sophisticated in any way... Any level headed person looking at it without any emotions attached can clearly see it's a scam.
      It's exactly the same with this guy, he easily gained people's trust as they thought they were about to benefit financially from the situation. If they stopped for a minute and thought objectively rather than allowing F.O.M.O to consume them they'd have arrived at the same conclusion as the hotel owner.

    If only they dig just a centimetre deep or asked one question to Anthony; “bin what?” . Bin = son of. Al Saud if not mistaken is a family name. The last king named Saud was in the 50’s and died in the 60’s.

    • @Jhfisibejoso8pkabrvo2is8
      @Jhfisibejoso8pkabrvo2is8 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Based on the timeline of the events, it would've been implied (or assumed) that he was specifically faking the identity of Khalid bin Fahd Al Saud, who was the only prince named Khalid of the ruling king Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the time.
      However, Anthony was born like 12 years after the real prince Khalid was!
      You're exactly right though, his name as he presented himself would've made no sense and just a little more digging would've revealed that. Lmao

    • @Jhfisibejoso8pkabrvo2is8
      @Jhfisibejoso8pkabrvo2is8 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      It's also worth noting that the real prince Khalid bin Fahd Al Saud did not have any exceptional political power or involvement at the time.
      Most Saudi kings have *tons* of children, so being a prince in and of itself isn't super uncommon. The royal family is pretty huge
      But Khalid wasn't of particular importance
