I had a 2008 yz250f and rode it to the ground till a blew the motor. Now have a 2015 yz250f. They are really great bikes, you won’t be disappointed!

Love this channel! I bought a 2000 yz250 for 200 bucks locked up. Rebuilt everything top to bottom. Basically new everything. Just over 1000 bucks I spent total. Luckily i have some friends at a local dealer who gave me some great prices. But snow is already on the ground in Minnesota and its time to get the sleds ready :)

dont worry about it, that clutch can handle some abuse

Don't forget to check valves. Primary maintenance I would do in following order: air filter, valves, carb tuning.

I am age 24 and 5'6. I dont have any experience but I want to get into trail riding.. What is your opinion of a bike for me?

thanks Alana, I suggest to start on Yamaha ttr125, it is solid beginners bike that wont get you into a trouble but will allow you to learn basics of trail riding. comes with electric start, kickstands, all that good stuff. you can find decent one for around $1k. good luck!
And finally what was the problem? I would like to know because I bought a Honda CRF 150R 2007 with the same kind of problems.
cleaned the carburetor, cleaned the boot connecting carburetor to cylinder, new jets and needle and bike runs fine. I will post video about it in couple days.
Finally you got the one I have, now I really want to chase your videos of you work on it. I got mine cheap too, it was 1000. I changed the air filter, oil and water pump bearing and seals also the pump turbine. I notice that my carb setting is very lean my exhaust header turns red in 2 minutes. Really hope someone can show and teach me how to set the jets and what size jets to use, I'm waiting for you to post a nice video on your jetting kits man. I have been MOTOVATED by you!!

I think in California, their are so many riders and bikes for sale, that the prices are so low. Here in Ny in 2018 they would ask for $1800 - $2000. I have to either buy a clapped out bike for that price or drive 6 hours away (out of state) sweet bike for the price.

OK you got the bike for a decent price but for me still wouldn’t be worth it for the time effort and money I would have to put into it for me to actually enjoy it but that’s just me not saying the price wasn’t a good price
it took some time to dialed her in, but thats kind of stuff I enjoy doing plus its good for video material for the channel. I ended up trading her for very clean 2004 wr450 with little bit of cash on my end.

I think that you can do quick videos answering questions as you suggested. Don't try to put lots of editing hours on those videos, just use the same camera as now and that's it :) (BTW nice composition - third rule applied)

yea, US used market is full of stuff and prices are pretty good
Kind of depends on where you are in the US. So Cal is a great location for riding because of the year round nice weather. As a result there's usually a surplus of used bikes available. In places with more severe weather it can be quite a bit different.
