    Recently installed a JVC Din in my 2006 Mustang using this video and another video. Both instructions were great and helped me tremendously, BUT, be aware that after unscrewing the faceplate it isn't that easy to unplug the temp select connection on the passenger side. There is a gray U-shaped lever in the down position that is held in place by a small black tab. I found it easier to disconnect the driver side fan control and the top 3 plugs, pull the faceplate out further and then raise the gray unlocking lever.

    My CD changer is stuck. Your video will make it possible for me to remove the radio and put an aftermarket one in, without me having to go to the dealer. Thanks for the clear and easy instructions.

    I feel I'm behind the curve in replacing my radio/CD player only now :) Halfords in the UK suggested this would take 8 hrs. Lets see how long it takes with just me and this video!

    • @rxtuninginc8444
      @rxtuninginc8444 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      8 hours... more like under 1 including soldering the wire harness adapters to the new radio harness. If you have a Shaker 500 or 1000 you also need to install a 12V to 5V converter on the remote amp turn on wire. The factory system turns the amp on with 5v signal.... the aftermarket radio uses 12v so without the LM7805 to reduce input voltage from 12 to5v you will get a pop sound from speakers when turn radio on.
      Remote wire from New radio to INPUT on 7805 then attach OUTPUT of 7805 to the factory wires for amp turn on. The middle prong on 7805 is simply a ground to chassis.

      Did you connect both amp turn on wires to the remote turn on from new radio? The Shaker 1000 has 4 amplifiers. The Shaker 500 has 2.

    You need to buy a AUX interface adapter which comes with the instruction. It connects between your radio and the harness. You should be able to find it on ebay.

    Ok. Your video was not informative at all. Maybe a little but you didn't even explain how to unplug the AC. and stuff on the bottom of the deck cover. you just unplugs the plugs for TCS and all that good stuff out there. Next time you make a video make sure you include all the details dude.

    so let me get this straight....they put an AUX button on the radio just for decoration?? I was told before that the AUX input was on the back of the radio...and that they just didn't route a wire to the front for an input. But apparently there's nothing on the back of the radio you could hook an AUX input to.....freakin' Ford.
